Nigerians consider drinking, smoking and having casual sex as having fun. For a man it's usually not easy hanging out with friends and you're not drinking when they are. Irrespective of your age, they'll always tease you. For women, it's much easier. Just order what you want. People generally don't pressure women into drinking alcohol. Most women order non alcoholic drinks and even the people drinking alcohol are fine with it. |
Beware of stories you hear from women. A woman who is practically a devil always has a fantastic story to tell when reporting an issue. Until I hear from the accused or a third party, I always take their stories with a pinch of salt. I remember the case of a woman who claimed her boyfriend beat her up, until it was proven to be a lie by a bystander. Instead of her to apologise for lying , she went ahead and accused the boyfriend of threatening to beat her. So why lie that you were beaten? She said she lied so that we will get angry and get the boyfriend beaten. This and many more experiences has made that adage, "fear women" very true for me. |
Better desist from having further conversations with that woman immediately. How dare you call her husband to advice him? People have been killed for less. Next time your ex messages or calls you, tell her to go to hell. You don't need all this drama, especially from a silly ex. |
Stop asking people that can barely feed and haven't done their assignments. Go to family section and get mature responses. |
You're already 'playing wife', how can you be taken seriously? You don't have standards and you may likely be used and discarded soon. Why buy the cow when you can have the milk free? Give yourself some respect. |
You may be right, if a man is wasting your time, you're probably not his choice, he's managing you. Women select whom to date, men select whom to marry. If he never mentions marriage or hints at a future with you, then you're a bed warmer. Same way for men, if she's always billing you, then she's a time waster. A woman who cares will be considerate about wasting your finances. |
Mariezaza1:https://www.britannica.com/sports/football-soccer https://www.footballhistory.org/ We're talking proper football not kicking round objects around without rules. |
Matters of the heart, people will do anything for love. I once saw a guy kneeling in the middle of the road begging a girl for forgiveness. A girl once knelt in public begging me also. One threatened to jump over the bridge when we had a fight. |
I hope he succeeds, much better than that fraud and other fraudulent English managers. The English invented football but they refuse to accept that they are mediocre at it, both as players and as managers. However, the Premiership is top notch I must say. |
Woeful Frank nearly relegated Evwrton, I'm thankful they sacked the fraud early. If Chelsea had the balls and had done same, surely they would have finished in top 8. A club legend ends in your playing days. Let that sink into the heads of these ex footballers. Management is another set of skills, a good player wouldn't make you a good manager. |
I'm happy to read this. I appreciate the police man that sent you the control number, he could have easily blocked you. I also commend the control room staff. We need more testimonials like this so that people can know that there is always a way out. We can't keep dancing to the tune of those thieves. |
Seagodess:It's the one that died you saw, you didn't see the millions that do difficult work and are surviving. Wait for your mum to feed you till you're old and die. Failures like you always have an excuse not to make something out of their lives. Wise ones read, and get inspired. Keep sleeping and begging for 2k, na u sabi. |
Poisonousman:A wise man will read and learn. Foolish one's will make excuses. Continue wasting your life. Are you better than people doing security jobs and are married with kids? Keep waiting for your parents to feed you till old age. |
It's lazy people who complain of the economy everytime. Why would a man in his mid 30's live at home? Such a man has no ambition. Go and rent a room in a face me house, go and be a bus conductor or any other manial job. It's much more dignified than to be a free loader crying about the economy. Too many men have become weak and lazy. I see them all around, even online begging for 2k. Weak and lazy set of people. It's better to earn 20k a month than not earn at all. Even if you earn 20k, get two of such jobs. Foolish people everywhere. Except you have a health challenge or deformity, there's no excuse for you. |
There is an ongoing conspiracy to emasculate men. It's in the media It's in movies, blogs etc. The threads you see on nairaland of men whining is part of the conspiracy to make men look weak. The world is out to paint men as weak and women as the new men. If men continue to sit and let this happen, in future, the role of men will be eroded. Kudos to all those guys still posting alpha threads and trying to enlighten these weak men. |
People should screen their partners properly before getting married to avoid stories that touch. Maybe we need to go back to the era of parents hooking up their children because most grown ups nowadays have no sense. The constant negative rants about marriage is depressing. When we stop looking at the superficial, then we will make headway. |
Who reasons like this for f sake? Not everyone is lousy and noisy. Blow your trumpet if you want and leave your friend alone. Don't forget that empty barrels usually make the loudest noise. |
Baba is mending fences. At the end of a tenure, people always realize that it wasn't all they envisaged it will be. Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown. |
Let's grow up. One man's comment cannot make the UK change her immigration laws. These Indian folks in power have been talking about cutting migration for more than a year now. |
After wasting the time of the owner, the owner now retrieves the car from the incompetent salesman who now updates the thread to SOLD in shame. That now motivates other greedy folks to start putting crazy prices also. Only an ignorant fellow or a 'money miss road' will pay crazy prices advertised here. As for those who actually own the cars, you'll see them still advertising those same cars even after 4 years. It doesn't make any sense to me. Anyway, none of my business. Happy sales if people can foolishly fall fot this. |
5m? ![]() Bought my clean foreign used 2014 Accord last year for 5.6m, I simply walked into a car stand. Not a single fault light on the dash, neither did I replace anything apart from change of oil. Till date I haven't fixed nada. What exactly are you folks smoking on this NL autos? No wonder I still see cars first advertised here 4 years ago. |
Cooked up story. Why do people think that a woman will not go to jail if there is evidence of her committing an offence? If a man has evidence of his woman beating him and he reports to the police, she will be punished accordingly. Meanwhile, it's not necessary to keep cooking up stories to discourage people from migrating if they want to. Every sane adult who wants to migrate will surely think through the pros and cons before taking his decision. |
Lol, interesting read. Most people here can't relate, they're mostly teenagers and jobless youths. You can tell from their comments. The remaining few are japa people who don't understand the Nigerian office culture. Fridays are fun in Nigerian cooperate offices. It's worse in government establishments, especially those in the North as Work ends at 1pm after jumat service. Nigeria is so much fun if not for the bad governance. |
Ulunne777:What is wrong in drinking tea with sugar? Or should it be drunk with salt? Funny lot. The other one quickly denied using sugar like it's some sort of abomination. Typical reflection of the average Nigerian. If you want them to deny something, first accuse them. |
It's hard to explain but if you married genuinely, and not because of any superficial reasons and your partner remains responsible, the respect and affection never fades. Like I said, it's hard to explain. Those who married the right partners will understand exactly what I'm trying to say. |
Interesting conversations going on here. Ideally, when you cut supply, you cut demand. However, Nigeria's case is different. Hookup is not just because of poverty, it has become a way of life. Girls with good job still do hookup on a bigger level. Greed and the need to live above ones means has taken over our culture. Even with a good economy, you're still likely to have a lot of girls doing hookup. We need a lot of orientation to change people. Perhaps if we start now, the next two generations will adjust and learn to believe in hardwork and shun easy money. |
This girl looks like a church night vigil type. |
You want a 3 year old to learn how to fight? You said the kid is autistic, so you should know better that he doesn't exactly know what he's doing. My advice is to talk to the mum about her son and tell her to learn to restrain him. Explain to your son that the other boy is just trying to be friendly and that's his own way of expressing friendship. Hopefully, the mother will take heed and this will all go away. That 'bully' is going through a lot as it is. |
Those who travel a lot will know that Nigeria is still one of the cheapest countries. One of the lowest tax rates, petrol costs and general living costs. The only problem is poor leadership. This would have been a very fanatic country to live in. |
Greed and laziness is the cause of almost every Nigerian girl becoming a hooker. This has not been helped by the ease of making quick and illegal money by Nigerian men. Imagine paying 100k for a round of sex with a bleached and worn out hooker, surely only men with illegal wealth do that. |
Rantings of a drunk nobody. Very few pardons have happened in the history of Britain. People should move on, this is not Nigeria where criminals are allowed to even rule. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_prerogative_of_mercy |
Asking about money never really solves problems. Any amount can be squandered in a heartbeat. What matters is contentment, discipline and living a moderate lifestyle. Don't live above your means and pray you have good health. Now that you're still working, learn to live moderately and invest. Have something to earn you income after retirement and you'll be fine. |
