It is sad that Nigerians are just knowing this. We knew all along that the simplicity posture is a lie all these while. Somehow, some of us knew that GMB told us lies. Journalists intentionally hid this from the public till now. More things would be revealed. This is why GMB cant declare his assets publicly. The thing would be adjusted before it may be made public. So sad!

Am sorry, I don't think Nigeria is that advanced to work in this imagined sophisticated world where illuminati or some removed powers reign supreme

Have Nigerians been so misruled in the past that they have lost all consciousness of expectations from their government for their lives?

5 days into Buhari government, issues being discussed/written about are not his government actions or policies but puerile inconsequential stuff like - He has a multimillion dollar mansion in Asokoro, his daughter chased people out of a shop, his wife closed down her beauty salon to be first lady, his wife wore a costly watch to his inauguration.

What should Nigerians do - Ask for a new candidate and hold another election?

Jagaban for one is not going to allow anyone known to the masses into a position he can be seen to have his own following and seemingly grow wings. He will continually repress the functions and capability of his own team so that he is is the all powerful godfather. History at it always.

Why do you think what we have is quasi-progressive and not real progress...it is because the leaders are not selfless and myopic..

Yes, but the transitional committee report will set the agenda from the beginning. And many of these names will serve as ministers or special advisers.

Ahmed Joda is a very old man so i doubt if he will be in any cabinet but he is in the league of awesome Northern Nigerians like Prof . Jega (pardon my being sectional) and a host of other people with high integrity. As an ardent newspaper-reading young boy I remember him for always being on the side of truth in the dark days of the military.

I doubt that he wouldn't perform but I don't see him accepting such a job anyway. He is a Political Science teacher and his integrity notwithstanding, am sure the jobs he takes outside of teaching and research environment are in related fields of political science. Jega has always been my hero as I followed his role as ASUU chair in the 90s reading newspapers everyday even though I was young and just becoming lucid back then.

Reuben Abati i learn will not open his mouth to utter lies about Buhari after Buhari took him to court for maligning his person. GEJ etc saved his neck by begging Buhari to withdraw his suits...but in this age of technology where your computer and internet provider fingerprints will identify you for forever some people still think hiding behind the computer and hosting websites with false info is the way to go grin

I try never to form opinions or bother about politics because I see all Nigerian politicians as lizards, selfish, hopelessly self serving and myopic animals.

But really? Is GEJ the best PDP has to offer Nigeria? as in really? sincerely....really? seriously?

That is my 5 mins of thinking about Nigerian politics.

We produce about same as puerto rico which has less than 4% of Nigerian population . Nigeria is maybe a couple of tens of million people less than Brazil in population and generates only 4% of Brazil's produce.

It is shameful. It is a F minus scorecard.

Travel / Re: Nigerians, Highest Number Of African Criminals In Britain - UK Home Office by wowo2: 6:54pm On Dec 11, 2014
major466:
Looking at the figures of Zimbabwe, Somalia and Algeria, Nigeria has the lowest criminals in UK via population percent ratio.
Percent Criminals:
1. Nigeria. Total residents in UK 106,000
Total Prisoners: 832
Percentage ratio = 832/106,000 multiply by 100
Percentage ratio of Nigerian criminals in UK = 0.78%

2. Somalia. Total residents in UK 45,000
Total Prisoners: 558
Percentage ratio: 558/45,000 multiply by 100
Percentage ratio of Somalians in UK = 1.24%

3. Zimbabwe. Total residents in UK 50,000
Total Prisoners: 482
Percentage ratio: 482/50,000 multiply by 100
Percentage ratio of Zimbabweans criminals in UK = 0.96%

4. Algeria. Total residents in UK 9,000
Total Prisoners: 305
Percentage ratio: 305/9,000 multiply by 100
Percentage ratio of Algerians criminals in UK = 3.38%

Based on percentage ratio to the total number of residents in the UK, Algeria has the highest prisoners with 3.38%

Nigeria has the lowest Prisoners with 0.78%

I agree and am sure it will be less than 0.78%...106, 000 registered Nigerians living in Britain?...of course their data will not take into consideration the undocumented Nigerians. It also probably excludes Nigerians with dual citizenships (Euro/American-Nigerians etc).

in my opinion I'll say these are d toughest

1.OAU
2.UI
3.Unilorin

5.Funaab
6.Uniben

let's hear ur views

It was when i was very young and was in a car entering into OAU a long time ago at the entrance gate i saw the security personnel using the long under vehicle security mirror to check underneath cars...it was a little interesting, i wouldn't say OAU was difficult to enter, just that their checks were funny when you want to enter. In any case I am now used to the device. I have now seen it used in a lot of films...hollywood films but not nollywood. MHO

Politics / Re: PDP Rejects Two Presidential Aspirants... Balewa And Abiola by wowo2: 9:18pm On Oct 28, 2014
kahal29:
The Peoples Democratic Party had turned back two presidential aspirants who were at its national headquarters in Abuja to pick their presidential nomination forms on Tuesday.

The aspirants are Dr. Abdul-Jhalil Tafawa-Balewa and Prof. Akasoba Duke-Abiola.

First to arrive was Tafawa-Balewa, who hails from Bauchi State, [s]and the son of Nigeria’s First Republic Prime Minister, Abubakar Tafawa-Balewa.[/s]

All the caucuses of the party, including the National Executive Council, had endorsed President Goodluck Jonathan as its sole presidential candidate, foreclosing the possibility of any aspirants angling for the party’s ticket.

apparently one of them is GEJ's pal
