I dare you. Show me one tire manufacturer that supports this claim or forever stop this nonsense. FRSC woke up one morning to condemn what they cannot fathom how it is made or how it works. They will ask you for a spare tire when you have run flats. I won't be surprised if I hear someone has been jailed for not having engine number stated on his documents (for an electric vehicle).

I really wish Nigerians can learn to follow product specifications. When it is expired, change it. Don't try to manage it because it still looks good. I totally believe that we can have an accident free country if only I mean a big IF we adhere strictly to safety rules.

Manufacturers state year of manufacture. There is nowhere on the tyre that an expiry date is stated. How then do you know it is expired?

Uncle here it goes;
1. You and I know this is not the USA.
2. We have laws but we don't have laws. We are laws unto ourselves.
3. With reference to 2 above, the type of vehicle you parked, your dressing and general appearance/carriage will determine if you can be a law or obey someone else's law.
4. If in doubt of 3 above, jejely ask if you can park and add the caveat that you won't be long. Don't forget to ask them if local govt boys tow cars or remove plate numbers/tires.
5. If response to 4a is positive. Smile and reaffirm the caveat that you won't be long and actually walk away in a hurry. If negative, repark or call their bluff. Your call.
6. If response to 4b is positive, look for a restaurant or a company premises and park, tip the gateman and be rest assured your car is okay.

Abeg find something for the boys. Na we dey here for naija since dey hold the forte. grin

On the parts side, not so true.
Mercedes Benz toks parts are cheap in nigeria.
A gx 470 engine is well over 500k.
A ml550 engine is slightly below 300k.
Balloons for ml550 are cheaper than balloons for gx 470.
Its a function of demand and supply.
Its cheaper to maintain a Benz in states like Lagos and abj cos the parts are cheaper and are readily available. Its technical expertise for the Benz that is challenging.

2007 Ml550 has just 2 extra horses over 2007 acura MDX (v6). Even with its v8 engine. Both have practically the same 0-60 times. And the Acura handles way better tongue

Sometimes, manufacturers don't really bother themselves about speed. Lexus es330 isn't a race car. Neither is your E320.
Anyways, don't leave your axle behind while racing an es330. grin

Nigerian potholes do a lot of wonders to cars with rust. Una too hype Benz. They are just another "German" car manufacturer. Nothing else.

Guess that is what what has been burning out my Honda city compressor coils and compressor. I figure but tot it as the condenser that was blocked. Cos the discharge pipe gets so hot but the condenser just stays lukewarm. Sometimes its just there, no real heat coming through it while the pipe cant even be touched. But when you take them all apart, you get flow through the pipe and the condenser. Of course its difficult to quantify flo when u r blowing thru them with "mouth pump" :d

It turns out that the supercharger(kompressor) intake that the engineers at mercedes placed at the bottom of the fan is a huge design flaw afterall!!they never thought of flood before doing that

Kai. On my Skoda, I rerouted the drip hose from the intake away from the wheel well into the engine bay because it could suck water and hydrolock the engine. I have been particularly careful of such.
While driving out this morning, I was wondering how the low hung cars were faring in the flood waters. Never new a nairalander would lose an engine.
Sorry once again bro. You may have to reroute the air intake on your diesel merc so you don't suffer same fate if the air pipes are routed in a similar way.

Tinted permit is as easy as ABC these days. You don't even need to know anyone. You don't need to pay any dime.
I searched online for the application, got it, filled it out, printed it out, went to the CIB or force HQ in pH and captured same day. My application was stamped and that's it. I show the police the papers any time I am stopped and I haven't got any issues ever since. Instead of giving out 500 bucks at every check point, y don't you get the free tinted permit?

If yo read the paragraph again but very slowly, you will realise they have not banned the old license but strongly urge motorists to get the new one. Of course if they refuse to renew your old plate license in abuja, you are free to go to nasarawa and renew it. If you show them a valid renewal from nasarawa, will they yank off your plates and throw you in jail?

It's obvious that you don't know anything about the Infiniti fx35. First, it's an SUV; secondly, it's faster than your Lexus ES330.
The 2006 Infiniti fx35 does 0-60mph in 6.79 secs with 280hp
Your Lexus ES330 (at most a 2006) does 0-60mph in 7.75 secs with only 218hp

Did I read you write that the Infiniti fx35 is not fast? Don't let it's heavy looks deceive you. It will disgrace your Lexus ES330 on the highway.
Mind you, top speed of the infinitive fx35 is 130mph or 209.215kmph while your Lexus Es330 does 143mph or 230kmph but trust me, your Lexus may go kaput before it does 230kmph. Here comes where weight and torque plays important roles. The Infiniti fx35 has it with suspension and handling that will make it really hard to somersault.

The Infiniti of any year and engine capacity will smoke the Benz of any year and same engine capacity except the amg class.08 Infiniti fx 35 has a 0-60 time of 6 seconds. 10 glk350 has a 0-60 time of 6.4 seconds. The ist gen fx35 will still smoke the second gen RX 330 and 350.

They have not banned the use of the old number plate. They have asked their staff to stop issuing vehicle license renewal to vehicles with old number plates.
If you have valid renewal documents for your old number plates, abeg drive on.

Is there any reliable octane booster within the country that one can buy? I've checked around and seen only the abro variant.
I tried it and my mpg went up a notch but I hope it won't cause more problems than the low octane fuel sold in naija.
