The problem with suspicion is that it must be satisfied with the truth.

You have to stealthily know whats going on. Check her phone, stalk her, hire a private eye etc . Make sure she doesnt know.

Typical Nigerian. Did you completely read what you quoted?

Go back and read this concluding part

" This is with exception to rail overpasses or
highway intersections. "
How many flyovers in Nigeria are overbuildings, parks, mershlands or what ever other less likely reason there is for flyovers.

Basically, flyovers in Nigeria are built on highway intersections and over rail lines. It makes no sense that you made a statement but exempting the basics. Its like saying food is useless to humans, except hungry humans. Of course every human must eat so food is absolutely important and it makes no sense to say food is useless.

In the same vein, a flyover is absolutely important no matter the cost, there is no way to avoid it as you seem to suggest. Infact, a flyover over a rail line is technically a bridge. Flyovers are basically for intersections to eliminate conflicts as much as possible.

Flyover is no sign of development but evidence of unplanned urbanization. If there is a way to avoid construction of flyovers it remains a better option to save funds. This is with exception to rail overpasses or highway intersections.

Almost all States in Nigeria have flyovers or overpasses built by FG. Maybe you mean the ones built by individual States.
The bolded is absolutely untrue. You cannot avoid an intersection in road construction. The best and only way to avoid an intersection is flyover. Every intersection with traffic light is a potential flyover. The only thing that differenciates one intersection with the other is traffic volume.

His reply didnt give you a definite answer so i will volunteer to give some advise.

Pad foundation is good for a 5bdr bungalow, strip is equally good, infact raft or pile foundation is the best for a 5bdr bungalow.

However, the soil of the plot is the determining factor of which type of foundation is suitable. So, your question makes no sense without details of the soil. If you had attached a picture of the site, it would have been easier for any engineer to estimate appropriately.

Black cotton soil is a nightmare to engineers, i have no idea if you are planning on building on one. So i cant tell what you have.

You marriage is very young and being that you never had the fine tuning phase during courtship. You both are having it now. Too bad he is pulling away while you are pulling closer and it's frustrating you.

You need to do the reverse affection method, pull away in character too. I don't mean emotionally, but it's a game to get his attention. Whenever he smiles at you frown and be disinterested though give him Wat he wants. Ignore him alot and give him the cold shoulders without it being very obvious. Continue thus till you have his attention and he starts asking you Wat the problem is.

Even when he asks, tell him nothing. Give him more cold shoulders and hide ur cheerfulness. This character if it drives him nuts then it's proof he loves you and was going through a phase

Give him more cold shoulders till he gets angry at ur behaviour and flips out. It only then that you table his offences to you. Hopefully you both would have a heart to heart talk and he would open up to you on what u is killing him

This is a fine tuning phase and if handled properly will pass, making ur marriage stronger
I like this, in other words, let him know that he is hurting you. Am sure he doesnt what that.

On the other hand, i think he is a reserved person naturally which the op realised with his siblings but didnt expect him to extend it to her.

My wife thinks i ignore her too, but whenever i want to watch a movie for instance she is chatting. I just give her the hand to stop talking but it annoys her. So i resorted to using headphones but no, she talks when she knows i cant hear her. She gets angry and removes it from my ears. She is the type who is quite outside or with new people but talks too much at home most times repeating what i know or what is obvious.

I have learnt to tolerate my wife for things i love but she hates. Op should find out if she is just being too intrusive or provoking. She should also learn to talk to him about her problems, let him have the chance to express what is in his head before a rash decision that could break this early fragile marriage..

This one happened 10mins ago.

We just drove to my parents street. Before turning into the street, another car was approaching so i waited for him to pass before making my turn. I didnt know the car too was waiting for me as he was driving into the opposite street. The car was a worn out 504 saloon.

I still allowed the car go before me and as it passed, guess what my 4yr old (today is his bday) boy said, "see this old car". Even our house help couldnt help but laugh out loud.

Anyways, as i told my mum what just happened she told me of a little gathering they had in my my aunts house. My aunts grandchild was very active.

Every one waa eating and drinking. My nephew would go round and seeing anyone who doesnot have water, he will go get a bottle of water and put at the table. Who ever has 5alive, he will bring coke or fanta, who ever has coke or fanta, he brings water. When every body had finish eating, he said,"since all of you have finish eating, go out, i want to close the door".
Computers › Re: Wiring Circuit Diagram For Inverter, Grid And Generator by adanny01(m): 1:52pm On Apr 03, 2016
ifenadi:
I am looking for a way to wire my inverter system to National grid in such a way that some parts of the home get uninterrupted power from the inverter when the NEPA fails.

When there is NEPA, it will charge my batteries via inverter and supplies current to all appliances in the home.

When there is no NEPA, only the portion of the home which are connected to inverter gets powers as I don't want to connect heavy load appliances like fridge and AC to inverter.

This diagram actually serves the purpose perfectly.

My only concern now is that if I decide to replace the power supply with generator as NEPA can fail sometimes.
When you look at the diagram, you will noticed that somehow, the neutral output of the inverter is connected to the input. A neutral is always a neutral and serves to return current no matter how it is connected. Now in the case of generator, what if somehow, the live wire and the neural is swapped(which always occur becuase most times we just insert two wires inside generator's output without considering the polarity), will this diagram still work? Will there be any damage to the inverter?

Please gurus, I need your views
Dont take anything am about to say as the facts but as my 2 cents.

Most home A/C appliances that i have seen tolerate live and neutral exhange. The inverter i expect to work fine.

The only thing that is dangerous is that only the live is usually fused, as such anything could happen to your inverter or other appliances. The risks are too much foe you to make such mistakes.

The only thing missing from the diagram is the need for a second distribution box for supplying inverter live to selected points.

My parent's house is under construction and i have gone back to install a smaller DB for inverter loads. This DB was wired in such a way that it is easy to isolate any room or section of the house by simply switching of its MCB. Eg. Guest room MCB is always off till needed. All ceiling fans and interior lighting points are powered from the inverter DB and only 2 sockets at TV sockets of the 2 living area. In the living rooms and dinning where there are 2 light sources (chandelier and wall ligthing units, only one of the 2 is on inverter and the other to main DB.

2* 12v 200AH = capacity 200AH when connected to a 24 volt Inverter, because you have to connect the batteries in series to double the voltage

1* 12v 200AH = capacity 200AH when connected to a 12 volt inverter

if the same appliance is used in both let say 30w light, 2* 200AH connected in series to a 24 volt inverter will last exactly the same time as one 200AH connected to a 12v inverter in ideal conditions

https://www.batterystuff.com/kb/articles/battery-articles/battery-bank-tutorial.html
I got confused when i saw your post but thought harder using P=IV.

2*200Ah in series is 24V 200Ah which will give 4800wh
While
1*200AH will give 2400wh

A 30w light bulb will run (4800÷30)= 160hours on the 2 batteries while the same bulb will run (2400÷30)=80hours which is exactly half of the back up time.

Of couse, ideal conditions applies on both instances.

If given 2*100Ah in series which will be 24V 100Ah, power will be 2400wh which should last same time with a single 200Ah battery.

How is that corruption? A proper business like his should have a storage fee....first 5 days free or whatever and x amount per day after. Heaven knows the history of the car... maybe has blood on it and the agent is just busy trying to make a sale while having him unknowingly store the car.
Who do you think should be charged for the demurrage? The agent who refused to disclose the identity of the client or the client who has no idea where his car is?

If you insist on charging for demurrage then it is only fair to charge the agent because it is he who knows what is happening. It is obvious that the client bought the car and even paid 700k+ for clearing only to decline payment of the paltry balance God knows what. My conclusion is that the agent wants something from the client and was denied so he decided to hold onto the car. If he decided to keep the car for a paltry sum he stands to gain then he pays demurrage until he can amicably settle with the client or refund the client.

Besides, when the agency took the job of clearing the car, did they inform the client of demurrage? If no, why are you insisting on it when it was not a term of the deal.

All this calculations of charging capacity by p=iv is totally wrong brother. charging capacity has nothing to do with voltage, 12v, 24v etc, but has a lot to do with AH of the battery being charged. As AH of battery increases so do the resist to follow of charger current. this means charging 100AH battery is faster than charging 200AH Charge ( coulumb) Q = current Amp * time. that is Q=Ampare* time in seconds. this means is only current rating of charger determine how fast it charges independent of voltage but also heavily depends on opposition to follow of this current per time, that opposition is called resistance of the battery being charged if the Amp of charger is the same. Resistance of battery R=V/I of the battery. So in Ideal world a battery connected in series to increase voltage while AH remain the same will get charged twice faster than battery connected in parallel to increase the AH while voltage remaining the same because the resistance will increase significantly too but where the real world charging scenario come to play is that since this solemnly depends on resistance if the Amp of charger is the same, there are a lot of factors that determines resistance, not only volt/AH of batteries. The wires size, the cell (there is no way the two battery are the same), the electrolyte, temperature of the batteries and of that environment etc. Hope this help a beat.
Thanks, it helps a lot.

I used my logical reasoning to assume somethings but later got it when pros came with details. If you read all comments you would have seen it.

Your comment has added to what have been said especially with regards to P, V, I and R with their relationships. The solution is bolded and the basis to the question i first asked.

Basically, the question was this way;
1. I have an inverter 1.2kva 12v 20A charger with one 12v 200ah battery
2. My friend has 2.4kva 24v 20A charger with two 12v 200ah battery in series.

I initially thought my friend's system would take twice as long as mine to fully charge (assuming resistance is the same and state of charge of batteries are all same).

After all that was said, my current understanding is that the two systems above will have approximately same charging time considering the assumptions made. Hope that is correct.

Also for my fellow mercury battery users which is better the mercury elite tubular or the mercury deep cell.
I use Mercury inverter. I think Mercury made it so and it is very anoying. However, on 2 rare occassions the fan stopped working even when there was NEPA. On the 2 occassions we had light for like 24hrs non stop.

Its either the fans are inadequate or their processor produces too much heat for the fan to take a break. During charging, i have noticed that the fan actually blows very hot air, so i understand the need to stay on.

Can you honestly tell me that the cost of say a 5 bedroom duplex in the heart of PH is exactly same in the heart Calabar.

I am a Civil engineer, it is stange for you to find exactly the same properties of soil in Calabar and PH. Therefore, its not so simple to compare. Besides, the lenght of the PH project is much more. The piers for the monorail in PH is higher. The PH project includes an independant power generating station for the electric trains. There are more stations in PH. Lastly, part of the built up city that will be compensated is incomparable with PH have more value on properties to compensate.

This man's talks senselessly. Is cross river States topography like Rivers state? Is their land as muddy as Rivers state? Why not probe the project to a certain where the money went? Was the scope of the monorail the same?

Are the designs and detail the same? Are they passing through land or did bridges needs to be built for them if they are crossing the road? These are issues you find out.

Rivers state needs another mode of transportation apart from road to curb their traffic issues. The population is growing faster than roads built. No amount of roads built can do that. This man should put politics aside and do what will eventually bring benefits to the people of rivers state.
This reminds me of a high voltage transmission line proposed between Uyo and Eket in Akwa Ibom state. The cost of construction of the line was N2billion plus but due to corruption and greed by property owners, compensation was well above N4billion twice the amount for the actual construction. Unfortunately, almost N1billion had already been expended on offshore equipment purchase for the line and all lie waste as the project is unrealistic with the cost of compensation twice the cost of the project.

N1billion was wasted but the people sabotaged it. Now, if Wike cannot see a way to make the monorail work and ease the serious traffic issues of PH, then he is already a failed governor. PH is the third biggest city in Nigeria and highly built up. Any new constuction in the city will gulp alot of funds as buildings will go down and huge compensation paid. Its a price for development. Rebuilding or expanding a road is not the same thing as building new road where there was no road before in a city. Alot of politics is confusing alot of people.

It is as saying that 10km road in Sokoto will cost like 10% of the cost of the same road in Rivers (fact). If you dont know these facts its better not to say anything. What wike said is highly unfortunate of a governor.

I have a friend that does car painting work for some dealers and after the autobaking, they sell the cars as firsthand tokunbo yet nobody will ask question about the body but the moment it's a Nigerian used car, the first question will be is it first body. Lots of the cars imported into the country are accidented and worked on. So the question of first body might not even arise in most cases. Just my humble observation
The reason i want first body is because i prefer to do an accurate body work i.e panel beat from the original instead of some shody potty filled jobs that will no look good but just to improve market value of the car.

2ndly and basically, a first body is a true state of the body while you may not know what is under the fresh paint.

I am not blaming the victim especially the middle class to poor. These are the majority of Nigerians and the group who cant afford the luxury foreign products they import. The blame goes to the elite who are the same people who put Nigeria in the disadvantage.
