Dcomrade:So I can henceforth declare myself fresident of Jamuriyya Naijeriya? And since I do not live in Aso Villa, not lead FEC and not C-in-C, I can carry go unhindered? Very strange legal explanation. |
OK. |
Such a topic never gets to FP. No twerking, brainless half-unclad yeyebrity or Bobrisky. |
So people are still fooling themselves with celebs and politics. Most celebs have no money. Politicians control access to wealth, licences, contracts, appointments, etc. In recent years, celebs have clearly realised that politics or "famzing" politicians guarantees far more cool money than other stuff. Politicians can even help secure lucrative endorsements from big companies. If even religious leaders can suck to politicians, who's one struggling "keeping up appearances" celeb? |
We knew the truth would come out one day. He seduced the man. He was lucky not to be impeached then. There is no small woman. They can lead to the fall of great & mighty men. You wonder why Bill Clinton was so stupid not to know. |
Lilimax:It just means more people are flying in helicopters as renting them have got cheaper. Although tech has improved but not so fundamentally in last 10 years. Most helicopters in use are not even brand new ones. The more frequently and the more people who fly, the more the chances of crashing, all things being actually. Regulations are not as stringent as you have in aeroplanes too, especially commercial planes. Despite the sad headlines flying is still quite safe. RIP to them. |
Legend007:Look, govt people typically grant special import licences to themselves, friends and cronies. They make a killing while parroting that a particular product is banned. If you know you know. |
Sadly 50 is just the body count of a few teenage herdsmen doing a leisurely job in one hour in North Central. |
habsydiamond:Okocha didn't get his chance to shine early enough. He spent two years at Borussia Neukirchen in German lower league. He really began enjoying his game going Frankfurt from 1992. Spending 4 years there. Okocha showed great skills at Frankfurt but he needed a bit more career advice & discipline. He should have focused on scoring more goals and less display of skills for entertainment. European football is huge business. They need end products in the form of chances created & goals. I saw Okocha play in an exhibition match in a small stadium during this period. He overshadowed his team-mate like Yeboah, Maurizio Gaudino, Hagner, Bommer, etc. Tony Yeboah who was with Okocha in Frankfurt then, though a striker, had a match/goal ratio better than 2:1. Okocha was capable of a match/goal ratio of 3:1. Around 12 to 15 goals per season in all competitions. I actually supported his stay at Bolton. It gave him more game time & often came to Bolton's rescue. He would have been a sub at United. United had too many midfielders who came from the academy or came earlier and have gelled very well. I cannot imagine him displacing midfielders like Giggs, Scholes, Beckham or Keane. Maybe Quinton Fortune. Obviously 8 would have been ideal for him. Scholes owned that slot. Ferguson was ruthless when it came to letting players go. Dwight Yorke & Andrew Cole whole helped him win the treble in 1999 are good examples. |
Op, maybe it's more than refusing sex. Is she still enjoying the marriage? Does she feel fulfilled? Are there kids and more chores/responsibilities for her now? Are you catching her body language/signals that certain things may not be ok? You can frankly discuss things with her. If after all that and more efforts and nothing works, then she just might not be into you that much anymore. But is staying put due to what society will say, to save face & avoid stigma. If that's the case I do not envy you at all. Because las las one or both of you will cheat. |
Basher8583:Are you denying that Osho did not collect bribe? As much money as he stole from Edo, to maintain that his albino is not cheap o. It takes lots of money for an old charcoal man to keep that yellow pawpaw o. He needs any dollars and gandollars he can get. ![]() |
Osho, see your life. You live in a very fragile glass house and you were throwing heavy stones at someone. When they throwback at you nko? ![]() |
Bad belle in this country is appalling. This lady is just combining two dreams of many people. Millions aspire to be a doc & millions aspire to go into acting. She can pick & choose now. All many jobless & uninspired lot can do is hate and badmouth. Pathetic. |
Dude, if the story you told here is the truth, you just do not know how blessed you're. It's a rather common problem abroad-based and returnees face: very hard to know a girl or guy that loves you believing you have plenty of money and or foreign passport to enable him/her move abroad too. This lady was sweet as long as you had enough money. Her "love" was an investment but you became "bad market" as you ran out of money. You weren't paying the dividends anymore. Meanwhile other guys were coming along to impress her with money like some guys do. Even scoping in your presence. While the girl (like most 9ja girls have learnt to do for decades now) was spreading her bet and hedging nicely, you kept falling in love and investing emotionally. He has practiced well due to frequent break ups, but you didn't. Very bad strategy. If you want to succeed in 9ja Romance jungle, you must learn very fast. No paddy for jungle. Dude, no short-cut to over-coming heartbreak, time is the only healer. JUST MOVE ON DUDE. As hard as it might seem initially. Ermmmm.......this final break up is the only thing you got right in this relationship. |
goodnessme1:My dear I also find the way Igbo people have been marginalized in Nigeria since Biafra War disgusting. We can all do better. But whether together or going separate ways, hate will not get us anywhere. My belief is one cannot emulate the "bad" behaviour of others just to pay them back. It's against what the Bible says. Once we hate in return, we just become like those we see as doing the wrong thing. Separation is probably best for Nigeria, but a peaceful one is more desirable. If we had the maturity and civility to separate peacefully, we'd get things so right that separation agenda won't even arise in the first place. My many on Nairaland have not much going for them. Many are jobless youth. So do not take their bigotry and tribalism seriously. I am not Igbo by the way. |
That is a grossly under-estimated figure. Considering depression/affective disorders, schizophrenic/schizoid spectrum, sociopathy, OCD/anxiety disorders, PTSD, substance abuse/addiction, and all, it cannot be less that 50 to 60%. A late friend even said at least 80% about 20 years ago. Many manifest only very subtly so they are difficult to see. That is why many absurd things are easily taken as normal in 9ja. |
Hmmmm, na wa. HML. |
Collins4u1:There is hardly any girl who's not in a relationship of some kind. Even if they say they are free. Until wedding day, if a guy appears who seems worthier (even if just on the surface, not in reality) than the man they already have, very many will oblige. As a back-up/plan B, up-gradable to plan A if things go well. Because they aren't even sure of their own sincerity, let alone the sincerity of their boyfriend, so many easily multiple-date. Men know this by now. Whether you know or you don't know, your "new chic" probably has other guys already. The relationship (s) may be toxic, on-off, not progressing well, friends-with-benefit, with the very virile but otherwise useless guy, is in a distant relationship, or just stale, etc. ![]() |
WhyMoD:Word on marble. If you know you know. ![]() |
Awwwwww.. How moving. Tinubu's paper defending Oshiomhole hired as his stooge. |
GSRTDKY:Ok |
So long belief in the supernatural pervades, no surprise. Some patronise pastors, prophets, alfas and others patronise babalawo to manipulate things in their favour. People only fear juju because imperial masters told us their beliefs are superior and pure while ours are the opposite. First check yourself for mental slavery before you comment. ![]() |
Cool. |
A very childish submission. Serious women do not wait for men to achieve those things you listed just to benefit from those men. They try to be successful themselves before even marrying a man. You just indicated the dependency syndrome most money-hungry 9ja women have. In their warped mentality any man not swimming in money (how the money is made is irrelevant to them) is mediocre. There are very talented school teachers who will never be stupendously rich after 35 years of hard work. But they will mentor, inspire and motivate hundreds of kids to become sportsmen/women, accountants, lawyers, doctors, engineers, pilots, teachers, professors, scientists, etc. So should such lower middle class teachers be branded mediocres? If such a person marries a money hungry lady, the lady might be donating her punany up and down to rich men or do other such seedy things to get money. |
Na Zimbabwe. No wonder. ![]() |
SarkinYarki:It can be sold to neighboring country airport. Who knows if Boko cannot do a makeshift airport in Sambisa should they get these equipment? The whole thing is funny. A state govt buying equipment for an FG airport? Obaseki & Oshiomhole could not lobby Buhari & Hadi Sirika to do it? But Osho is prancing around as APC chairman creating enemies nationwide. Now after buying the glide slope with Edo money, a state that is highly indebted, they left it unsecured. |
Zehavi:Lol. For this 9ja? From what I see from the youth on this forum, in 50 years Nigeria might not develop to that level. Because Nairalanders and age mates out there will raise the future generation. They will pass on the bigotry, ethno-religious prejudice and pettiness to the next generation. So it looks very bleak my friend. At some point, maybe 40 to 50 years from now, probably when oil has finished or technology has made petroleum obsolete, we might get so fed up, care less about "our founding fathers" and "those who fought to defend our unity" and finally decide to part ways along broadly ethnic/religious lines. Then many will wonder why we did not do just that in 1966 when the North wanted it after January 1966 coup or in 1967 when Biafra wanted it. |
krattoss:What makes him not to be a big man from that pic? No wonder we have so many money ritualists everywhere. I thought he was even a single guy o. Congrats to him. My only disappointment is that far and wide no pythons to be seen. ![]() |

Lexusgs430:Let's be honest. He did well in his agric portfolio. That period got people like me to invest in agric. And many people I know. There was a huge increase in already gainfully employed graduates under 50, many in their 20s even, embracing farming. Many have since quit since 2015. Remember the GSM fertilizer allocation, cutting out corrupt middlemen? Let's leave politics aside for once. In 2012 to around 2015, we had minimum 16/18 hours of electricity. In the past few months, I know of places talking of no light for weeks. From 16/18 hours, we can go for days now without light. It makes life more expensive fueling gen. GEJ probably didn't increase power generation by much, but I guess distribution was better. Electricity, jobs, security & fighting corruption were major campaign points of APC in 2015. None has improved by much considering including Boko. In fact we might soon have Shi'ite version of Boko if no careful. Buhari is showing off train/tracks. But we all know railway was a key project of GEJ, with the Lagos to the North & Enugu to PH completed. The whole national network was planned. Buhari has continued doing bits of that GEJ plan. Yes we can commend Buhari for not fully abandoning the rail program, because generally in our part of the world, continuity is very poor. But Buhari might just be trying to redeem his image as "rail terminator" over the Lagos Metro he terminated in 1983. ![]() |
hisgrace090:All these words are just used interchangeably without making sense. Many youths actively seek out so-called "native doctors" to solicit for money ritual. A young herbalist in Anioma/Delta state recently publicly appealed to youths to stop coming to him for money ritual. That he doesn't do it and has no desire to. He said that such high demand for money ritual is pushing some native doctors to go seek diabolical knowledge to satisfy the high demand & in the process cash in on the VERY lucrative money ritual sector. Others have no such powers but scam greedy youth and tell them to do certain heinous things for the ritual. Knowing fully well he's just scamming them. Up and down Nigeria, native doctors still provide herbal treatment to millions, give divination, sooth frayed nerves, offer psychological help to millions in the face of a poor or absent medical care system in rural areas. |
NwaAmaikpe:Forget. Na so white preek dey easy to get? While white women are much more adventurous and more likely to date other races, white men are not that liberal or daring. For every black girl that marries or dates a white guy, there are probably 10 black guys married to a white girl. Including all those cases where Nigerian women bring hubby to villages in Nigeria to marry. If a black guy is marrying a white girl, no need coming to Nigeria unless his immigration status doesn't permit him to marry abroad. If not you will see black guy-White girl marriage all over Nigeria. Even in the 1970s and 1980s, if you lived in or near a university campus or GRA part of town as a kid, you will have seen how many male lecturers/professors and professionals returned to Nigeria with white women and mixed-race kids. So nor be today. I admit that one of the reasons why fewer white men marry black women is that since men generally do the toasting, black girls can only date/marry white guys who toast them. From my observation, every available black girl will almost 90% fall for any half-decent white guy who toasts them. I have seen that at university, work and generally. Far fewer white guys go for black girls. They even go much more for black girls born and raised in the West (shared language/culture/manners, etc) than Afrikoko ladies. FACT. Reason our black women "form" after returning from abroad is just 9ja women factor. Having being abroad, she now sees herself as elevated. Some men can behave that way too. For example women purposely marry or date up/high. An average Nigerian lady lawyer or doctor will hardly marry a carpenter. But many male doctors/lawyers are married to hairdressers, tailors, etc. Not even extraordinarily pretty ones o. If at all she tasted other dicks while abroad, they are far more likely be of Jamaican, Asian or other immigrant background men. Oyinbo men dey reserve their energy for work. They have high mortgage/rent & numerous bills to pay. Unlike black guys who like to nack akpako anyhow. A bonus white girls have come to cherish in dudu guys. ![]() |
