This year I asked myself, why is it that science and technology appears to b in the sole province of the 5 colonial powers of western europe. Ever wondered why it seems everything was discovered in Europe? They also taught us that the industrial revolution started in UK haha....these claims are all but vestiges of colonialism....

The Japanese people saw how technologically disadvantaged they were, compared to the Americans and had to end the isolation. They quickly integrated this technology and was able to conquer their neighbors.

Same thing would have happened in Africa -- Ashanti empire, Dahomey empire, and Benin empire would either work together to conquer smaller tribes or fight until the last man wins.

Africa was to suffer the same fate as the native Canadians and native American I.e. wiped out with genocide but the process was interrupted by a combination of local resistance by native chiefs, support of the Soviet Union around 1917 followed by support by China in 1948....other countries that supported African independence movements were Cuba....do you still hear of the native American tribes such as Mohawks, Algonquin etc?
