When I did MBA in PM, the lecturer handling financial accounting said many of those who are academics find it hard to invest because they are always calculating the uncertainty more than the benefits.

It's not ignorance, it's reality. You are talking of people working decades in abroad. Just relax. Those who actually have such money and more don't reveal themselves even when you visit them in their house the first time. They are extremely simple that even when they open the door to come you'll think the individual is a relative to the owner.

If you have the ability to discern properly even here those who have you'll see it from their post when they do actually post. They don't exhibit bragging rights carelessly and senseless pride.

The thing is some people will fake the change so as so to satisfy the other person.

There was a story I heard about a lady and a guy, the lady is a good Christian and the guy started going to church because of her, he told her that we are serving the same God that he converted to Christian and they dated for 3 years before they got married. In fact, the guy became dipper even more than the lady.

But unfortunately, the second day of the marriage, the guy brought out his praying kettle and told the lady that, for good 3 years I have served your God, now it is time for you to serve my own God too. He said that he must not see her in church never again.

He deceived her that he's changed but after he got what he wanted, he showed his through colour.

Apologies but he succeeded in that because she was not truly focused in her service to God.
She got so distracted in a lot of ways too numerous to mention.

Recently, the increase in armed robberies and banditry has become a disturbing trend in Nigeria. It is even more horrendous when the men of the underworld not only steal when they attack but will also rape any unfortunate female caught in the invasion.

My wife and I were watching a real life crime documentary one evening and in the documentary, a lady was shot and killed after resisting rape advances from 6 men who invaded her residence.

Fortunately, the criminals were later caught using forensic evidence and paraded by law enforcement. These men were tough looking strongly built men who no doubts would have torn the lady apart if they had succeeded in raping her.

However, the shocker was when my wife of 4 years said, and I quote “she just died for nothing and has caused her family a lot of grief...if it were me, I would just let them have their way and live to see another day”.

Although this sounded very right, it also sounded very wrong at the same time and has since been messing with my head as I cannot get the picture out of my mind. We could both see that they were 6 hefty men and yet she felt she should have................

Ladies, am I over reacting and men, what do you think? How can something feel so right and so wrong simultaneously?

Ohhh yes you are over reacting. And if you don't put your thoughts in order on time you'll cause yourself a great pain. And you may loose interest in your wife and marriage.


There are certain words that are never to be said nevertheless, once said can't be withdrawn.


You can get someone to counsel you from time to time. This is probably the time you need to take Jesus seriously. Spend more to study the Word of God personally and privately.

Now in this same PHC I know people of her own sex who lived in their family house and used their salary to procure land(s) and build house(s) for rental purposes. They were able to start up a side business. They did not live like ohhh I'm a grown up so I can live my life as I can.

One of my sisters at 22 with a good salary was encouraged to continue her studies that is relevant to her career choice to enable her grow the ranks appropriately in her department.

Bank work is not a security to financial autonomy. There should always be a Plan B and also put your trust on God.

It is good for parents to be concerned though sometimes it becomes worrisome. But a true mother will express her emotions.

One of the reasons God called and chose Abraham was that he forsook the culture of his father and learn the culture that God will hand over to him. This is one of the reasons why God always never wanted Israel to marry strange women so that they don't give in to strange ways.


Our marriage into the so called religion is not God's doing.

Those who are pagans who wanted to live double life brought the word religion into being to have some form of acceptance.


Those who brought the word to us did a good thing because it is a command in the book.

Matt.24.14 - And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.



Now to those who have the Scripture they should read the Words all over again to know what is required of each one.

It's important to note that whoever cares to believe it will be granted to him by the One whose word is Truth, Life and Light, tested and trusted all through the ages to the end of the age.

In Nigeria, once you take up a supervisory role on any construction project (even if it’s a septic tank) and you’re the making all the decisions and payments and all sorts - you’ve automatically become an engineer.

If you now manage to put one construction hardhat at the back of your car, you’re a big engineer.

If you manage to drive any truck you’re ALL in all.

The question to ask is “What do Engineers really do?

Out of boredom I went back to school to do PM(MBA). I wanted to see how different it is to the short duration program of P2/PMP.

I saw people who had done PM as first degree coming back to do same as B.Sc. I asked them apart from getting the certificate what is the difference in the course outline between both degrees?



Buying granite and cement is not what engineers do Any Baba Lati with many years of experience in construction can do that.

How can you send him on an errand when you can make him a foreman in the site.

I did a project sometimes ago, we engaged Certified Professionals as Consultant Engineers and they only show up at every critical stage of work to cross the t’s and dot the i’s.

Of course that's their job....do you expect them to sit in the site with small boys..... .

The only contention the Jews had with Jesus was getting to believe that He is able to forgive their sins and by extension grant them salvation.

Now all through the Scriptures there was hardly any place where any of the Apostles/Disciples had to raise any argument whether Jesus Christ is God, Lord, Jehovah,etc,etc.

They clearly understood who the following.....
God the Father
Jesus Christ(Messiah)...the Son
The Holy Spirit

While it is good to have this discussions for probably learning sake, does it truly give us the desired edification or improve our spiritual lives as God expects of us?


The duty of Christ was/is to do the work of His Father. To preach forgiveness of sins through Him and to those who believe may have eternal life through Him.

The mandate given to the early disciples/apostles and every other believer/disciple is that we preach to all men(women) Jesus Christ for the purpose which He came, died and resurrected. That all who by His Word gets convicted, seek for repentance be born of water and spirit and remain steadfast to His word.

This is what matters:
1)Do you believe in God the Father?
2)Do you believe in Jesus Christ as Son of God who died and was resurrected?
3)Do you believe in the Holy Spirit?


John.14.8 - Philip said to Him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us."

The bolded above is somewhat like the entire post on this thread where everyone is theorizing, interpreting and analysing.

But this below is the Jesus response.

John.14.9 - Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, "Show us the Father'?

John.14.10 - Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.


I end with this

Rom.8.9 - But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.
Rom.8.11 - But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

You have some valid points. Christians Don't even understand what they practice. They think through the death of a messenger (which is peganism) they are saved.

When you carefully study the good book from beginning to the end, you will see how people tried hard to mock God by exchanging the glory of the immortal God(without death) for other practices(religion & death-related atonement) ~Romans 1:22-23 & 25

But this is a logical standard;

*And behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. (Matt 19:16-17)*

Jesus response here teaches us that in whatever we do we should give complete reverance to His Father. None other takes the Fathers' glory.
The Father only gives His glory to those He chooses fit.


In day to day activities. Those commandments.. shape the society well. So you can actually view an eternal life(if there is anything like that) by test running the commandments here on Earth.~ "near logical"

There's no such thing as test running. It's not an automobile machine.

No one can truly practice what he/she does not believe and have faith in.
