I will only accommodate marriage in my life if I have enough security to take a chance with all the BS that will surely surface down the road. Jumping into marriage with the usual expectation that love will cure all the ills associated with marriage is more often a recipe for unnecessary aggravation and unhappiness. The gains of marriage is completely wiped out in the face of an unstable financial security. My happiness is paramount in this short life of ours, and not to perpetuate a family lineage or some societal norm.

Marriage is overrated. But if you must get married to please others, you should at least wait till you meet someone that can give you some measure of happiness while you suffer through the agony of marriage.

I have a feeling that if you have access to post in an internet forum, you're not in such a helpless position in Naija society that you can't stand firm in this matter.

I got to admit you almost fooled me with your train of thought on the Naira inscription matter, where you seem like a reasonably smart Muslim. Something we truly desire. But then in your long sermon that followed you went right back to the same ugly side of Islam.
In modern times, no other religious group perpetrate violence on society like Moslems do in the name of religion. Even the "lunatic fringe" of other religions do not go killing people and destroying property in the name of their belief. That's the difference my friend.

Visa lottery is not a jackpot. It only admits you to live and work in the US. You're on your own once you step out of the terminal. You can be denied a green card, even if you won the visa lottery, if you can't guarantee a means of support when you're admitted.
