The problem of lack of trust in self doesn't begin from when we become leaders in Africa. The problem begins at elementary school when we begin learning "A" is for Apple. "B" is for Ball.

At that tender age, the African child is not just learning a language but what's really going on metaphysically is that the African child is accepting a concept of reality that makes Western thought superior but African thought inferior.

If you listen to the lecture by the white scholar you shared with me the other day, he said that EVERYTHING is geared towards achieving underdevelopment in Africa and third world countries elsewhere.

In the case of African leaders, I understand that they are like Pavlovian dogs. It is the lack of an iota of resistance from them that bothers me more. And it is certainly based on their overall greed.

The global north are behind them though, since they want us to see the poverty and decline of Africa as a result of corruption and bad leadership alone. This wouldn't be the case if our leaders haven't surrendered themselves willing as tools to be used.

Enough of them. It's the possible way forward we must be looking forward to at the moment.

1. Another good reason many Nigerians suffer much today is because of the weak family bond holding them together. When we were young, we could go extra mile for blood brothers and blood sisters. We suffer together to get things done and enjoy our transient pleasantness in peace.

2. The whole situation changes when we become adults and start positioning ourselves in new terrains, meeting new people, and learning new things.

This new beginning taints our bloodline relationship. Strangers become our brothers and sisters. Our best friends are people who value us for the incentives we provide them instead of genuine bonds created from loving each other.

3. I'm saying this because family is met to grow together. If that childhood and teenage bond is allowed to continue, many young and old Nigerians won't have been suffering uselessly today.

Because in every family, there's at least one person who has climbed farther on the ladder of life. You only see a unanimous collaboration in burial or wedding ceremonies. In times of suffering and hopelessness, you are a noisy pest to their ears that disturbs that comfort.

4. Nobody owes us anything. People struggle to get there by sheer will and luck. But what's the essence of the family? A dynasty? An empire? Isn't it for a lineage to remain firm and stay long on earth? If we abandon our father, mother, brother, and sisters, how can we build a dynasty?

5. Many people don't see the essence of helping or working with their siblings, hence, suffering is harsher. You see people begging in every corner as if they fell from the sky and dissociated from any family in real life. This is unfair.

6. I know of the exceptions: Family can abandon you; siblings can betray you; some friends have proved themselves better than family members.

But in the grand scheme of our human lives, the family is the first and only place a man can find real protection and genuine love when he is being treated harshly outside. Ask the prodigal son.

The most scientifically advanced countries are those countries speaking their own language and using it to acquire knowledge. They're also the most technologically advanced.

No, we cannot have foreign language, education, religion side by side with African tradition. You must choose African culture or Western culture.

Western and Arabic culture which we've adopted from the West and Arabs are the very root destroyers of African tradition because we've embraced them as if they're ours. What we're rather supposed to do if we must remain in our right state of mind is pick those things in their culture that is useful and discard the rest. That's what truly independent countries, such as Japan, China, Russia do. They don't take everything from them hook, line, sinker.

To make matters worse, we Africans are the first human race on earth, so we are nature's prototype. We're natures default setting, therefore, we're uneditable.

You may edit the consciousness of other peoples on other continents on planet earth but you see an African, if you try to edit an African, you'll create chaos within him/her because it would be like trying to install windows operating system (OS) on an Apple computer or Macintosh. You'll end up not having a proper windows system nor Mac.

That's the very reason we're in the situation we find ourselves in today because we've adopted an alien perception of reality to our detriment. People outside of our culture have brought something to edit our African consciousness which is nature's default. Our acceptance of what they've given us is the reason we suffer.

This is true. But it's the possibility of overturning the table that is the major constraint. From all indications, except otherwise, it looks impossible.

Religion can easily be taken care of because a good number of young folks are now realizing the shams of religious leaders via religion.

(Nothing wrong with religion from a metaphysical point of view: if we come to understand the lessons behind the allegories and metaphors instead of taking them literally).

Bro, if you read the said book, you'll understand the architecture of our continued control by the West. Indeed, chapter four of the book is: African school of grassroots science - Africa cannot develop without investment in grassroots science.

So, you're correct when you say that we must pursue scientific knowledge. Lack of scientific knowledge is the major reason we're poor in Africa. But our lack of scientific know-how is an effect NOT the cause of the problem. The real CAUSE from where all our problems begin are foreign language, education, and religion. They're like the foundation to build your house upon. Whatever anyone could ever create, it would be learned with language (words) knowledge (education) spirituality (religion).

So, if someone has already dug your foundation for you without your permission, you can never build the type of house you really want. That's why we can never be true to ourselves in a foreign language, education, religion.

All reality are created with WORDS. Again, more details in the said book. You cannot adopt those three from a foreigner and use it to build a functional society for yourself.

Scientific knowledge is best conceptualized in one's language, not in a foreign language.

Like I said earlier, if African traditions are handled well and allowed to run synchronously with what we have now, things may get lighter. The obstacle I see here is the uncertainty of such a task even though in the ideal state it's certain. The rot is a deeply complex web; one will still fall back to using western tools in one way or the other. I'm hopeful of the solutions you hold in your book anyways.

If I am to explain it from the depth of reality and not just the surface, the reason it's so difficult for us to unentangle ourselves from the West is because our enslavement was constructed with language, education, religion. Those are culture's first layer of reality and they're not supposed to be given to anybody by a foreigner. They're nature's precedent setters and whatever is built upon them is built on solid rock.

Indeed, that's why once an imperialist conquered people at any location in ancient time, they'll change the language, education, and religion of the conquered. Because when you assume someone's language, education, religion (as we've done in Africa) it means that our first layer of reality has been pealed off and replaced with that of the oppressor!! So, we're evolving with what our ancestors did not create. The result is submission to the oppressor, chaos, disorientation, being controlled, and exploited, etc by the enslaver.

What the US professor said is true. We're still serving the interest of the West and still in slavery but in another name and format. We'll never be free unless we FIRST free ourselves from their language, education, religion. Once we do that, our eyes will open wide. Then, Western nations would begin a real decline because they're feeding fat on us and their other former colonies around the world.

We can still maneuver our way around these three just as we are doing. Trying to extirpate it from the general population seems more like a fruitless endeavor. However, if African traditions are encouraged rather than bewitched, with time, the traditions can level up. Despite this, I still see it as a burden that shouldn't bother us a lot. Because, in the real sense, we can't effectively correct it. It's a Sisyphus task.

The real problem, the hole we are "eternally caged": is the power the global north has in regards to science and technology.

If we declare a continental rév0luti0n today, we'll be set free. But do we have the scientific and intellectual manpower to sustain ourselves? This is where the problem lies.

At this moment, we eat West, breathe West and depend on the West for our existence. The West have done a good job of entangling our lives via its products and resources.

As Africans, it is only until we gain light in the tunnel of science and technology can we know freedom.
But guess what? Rather than Africans moving towards technological freedom, the West has created a niche to enslave us further - content creation. Now, we focus on the carrot money before us, while oblivious to the stick behind.

How do we get out of this mess?

I ponder on this question daily. To be more realistic, I don't see any escape route. The more I begin to understand western imperi*****, the more I get depressed. Africa is in a deeper cesspool inside a cesspool.

I just watch a video of this whole show. The w*stern lecturer was elucidating why Africans must remain poor. Because if Africa manages to grow, it means chaos for the global north.
That means, as we are drafting our escape route, they on the other end are devising complex strategic means to make our feet and neck chains tighter, limiting us to slavery forever.

However, I'm cocksure that a day in the future, a time along the path of eternity, Africa will rise again. But to be sincere, I don't see that happening in the next 500-1,000 years. The global north are more serious about enslaving us than we fighting for our freedom.

Notwithstanding, lets us give a trial of liberation and redemption rather than lament with folded hands to our poorly constructed w*stern graves.

If you end up an absolute loser and pauper who could barely feed himself at an old age, would your mother still love you? Would she love you like her other children who are doing well and taking good care of her? Nobody loves you for who you are. Nothing like unconditional love. Only God is capable of loving unconditionally.
You have to be valuable or potentially valuable to be loved by anyone.

However, the most genuine love you can get is from your father. Then your mother. Then your siblings. Then your children. Then your spouse. Then true friends. In that order.

This is sweet.

1. However, even God doesn't love unconditionally. He still needs you to reverently fear him and worship His holy name. Failure to do so is hell.

In the truest, deepest, and most depressing sense, unconditional love is another hoax we want to believe flows from the orders - God, father, mother, siblings, children - friends - you've suggested. But, every relationship is a trade-off.

2. We claim unconditional love from this order because, in every relationship, one is supreme over the other.
The supreme one out of his abundance can render enormous assistance, more tangible than the one he receives from the other - the lower one.

A good example is the relationship between a father and his young sons. Or a mother and her baby. Or God and his worshippers.

3. Since the superior doesn't always put the limitations and deficiencies of the inferior when dealing with them, it tends to connote "unconditional love". Meanwhile, the superior expects more from the inferior than the little he's providing. That's, a father wants his sons in old age, and God wants the continuous adoration of His name in the mouths of his followers.

4. Relationship with your pets is something close to unconditional love, however, the lower animal wants security and care while the higher animal wants a lovely companion - a sound symbiosis.
