How people arrogate death to others sha?

People die in their sleep everyday and they are sometimes even young.

Pdp candidate in Abia during primaries was likely not sick then but he has now passed.

Buhari that was stated will die in state house is well and kicking today and may likely complete 8 years and live even longer. I recall the advert by PDP fayose urging Nigerians not to vote for someone that will die in state house.

Who has record of terminal illness for Tinubu that suggests he will die soon?

His reduced mobility was due to the knee replacement surgery.

I can also tell he is also quite stressed with his campaign rigours as he is not getting as much support as he was expecting with Buhari. He is campaigning as if he wants to beat an incumbent and the fatigue on him shows. He does not leave things to chances and i bet he is hardly getting sleep.

This kind of barbaric behaviour must stop. Why should someone be crucified for their political affiliation. The same way you feel strongly about your political affiliation is the same way affiliates of other parties feel about theirs.

How these idiiots dont realise their fallacy bothers me.

I also suggested she put the kids in public school but i overheard her sometime discussing with someone in igbo saying public school, Nba. Meaning she doesn't want her kids to attend public school

She was even saying she doesn't have the money to get them uniform, sandals and writing materials
There is something wrong with her thinking. To her poor reasoning, the kids staying at home because she can't afford private school is better than going to public school.
Being poor should not be the same as being stupid.

If you cant do without sex must you get pregnant? Save money to buy a carton of condom now? Walk in to govt. Family planning clinics and see if you can get free samples? Your husband is stupid, must you also be stupid and wicked to the 6 children you cant feed?

She should not abort the babies if at 6 months, she needs to tie her tubes if possible during delivery or ask womb be removed. She is not dead of hunger with 6 children and likely she wont die with 8 kids.

11 million votes for Pdp and 6.5 million votes for Lp. You were not far.

Aside the SE politicians with vested interests, what will make anyone in the SE to vote PDAPC when Peter Obi who is not just a Christian like everyone else but also the best candidate by miles?!
Therevis no point debating with you since you have arrived at 52% of undecided voters in a poll are all SE voters, you are already closed minded to see the fallacy you are displaying.

The same Kano Kwankwaso is expected to win with Atiku coming second? FYI, both Lagos and Rivers are more important than Kano in this election. For the first time, Lagos is likely to produce same voter turn out with Kano or even more. Lagos has just two major contestants while Kano has 3. Rivers State has large number of voters too and is likely to experience high voter turnout with most of them going to one candidate, Obi.

If over 52% are still undecided, who do you think they will eventually vote for? The ruling party with a sick, old and corrupt candidate and worse still with insecurity and economic crises currently bedeviling Nigeria? Or Peter Obi who is promising to bring an end to it and many believing him?

I'm in the SE and I can tell you I'm yet to see anyone who intends to vote for PDP or APC. If you like ask people collecting PVC, or commercial vehicle or even the streets. Even many PDP and APC card carrying members will end up voting for Obi. Don't be carried away with what SE politicians are doing because they can't influence beyond their immediate families.
it is a toxic behaviour allocating all 52% of undecided voters in a poll to your candidate because other candidates are sick, old and corrupt. These sort of behaviour is also prevalent on social media, such that there are many resolved voters not mentioning their preferred candidates and waiting till election day. With a very aggressive and lynch mindset" i doubt anyone in SE who will not be voting Obi will voice out to you.

You can’t claim to have a parameter, or to be more intelligent than ANAP polls and other polling agencies who use percentages instead of figures. And all over the world, I have not seen where any agency is making election projections and is using figures; it is always percentage.

So, what’s your own methodology?

Abi una don write result?
if you dont see the "strong weakness" of the ANAP poll then your analytical skills is quite questionable. Over 52% of respondents are undecided !!!. It is worthless as P in Psychology. Giving all states equal weight is also a serious flaw in the worthless ANAP polls. Kano state will produce votes of at least 3 states in the South east.

Past elections and most importantly the immediate past presidential election are good indicators. Voter participation will not be significantly different in most regions compared to 2019. Your labour party win in SE and Ss states will not be as convincing due to the fact it is not a major party and it wont even present house of rep and senatorial candidates in some places. Party structure can NEVER be underrated in Nigeria.

I rarely miss. My 2019 projections for presidential election was +- 2%. I will update less than a week to the election as i will be close to accurate.

The numbers are not hard to get, based on expected voters turnout in each regions compared to voters card issued in relation to percentage of votes expected for each candidate.

I like the fact that you tried to be realistic with your projections but you spoiled it by adding figures.

As at today, no one knows what the figures can be; you can talk percentages, but not figures.

Again, Southsouth and Southeast combined has 11 states and Obi is winning all of them. Then you add Benue and Plateau and Abuja. Or do you have other candidate who you think would win in those states?
what is projections without figures?

A lot of factors where considered before arriving at the figures. Or you think since i project Obi to win 10-11 states then the votes are less. At the end, some youths supporting Obi will realise what structure means after 2023 presidential election, the others may likely bury their hand in sand and allege rigging and votes not counting. God will preserve us all.

I am sure you left many of the wonderful things he said to convince yourself he has suffered mental decline.

Campaigns grounds and period are rigorous and there are many gaffes. Top Pdp spokespersons in Dino Melaye and Bwalla have all commited gaffes asking Nigerians to vote APC. Peter obi has called Nassarawa a country, he has said Naanu in a CNN interview. In fact Obi was clearly out of depth in the CNN interview. He lies a lot and provide bogus statistics. I can bet there are more gaffes , but they are less covered because they are not the candidate to beat. I am not foolish to begin to think that is mental decline. Tinubu mentioned he had a knee replacement surgery in the recent past and his walking may be slower.
Politics › Re: Which Candidates Do You See Making The Run Off, And Who Would Win? by chinchum(m):

Some projections have thrown up the likelihood of a presidential run-off election in the 2023 presidential election for the first time in the history of Nigerian election. This is because of the emergence of four formidable front-liners for the election, in an exercise that has hitherto been a two man race. It has become so rife that even INEC, for the first time, said they have ordered for extra ballot papers in preparation for a likely run-off election.

But while the supporters of each candidate will give you a thousand and one reasons why their candidate will win at first ballot, the likelihood of a run-off should not be ruled out.

What The Law Says About Who Should Make It To A Run-off.

The constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria already envisaged the likelihood of a presidential runoff election and made provision for such. It states that in the eventuality that there many presidential candidates in a presidential election and none of them secures the constitutional provision to be declared victorious at first ballot, the candidate with the highest number of votes cast, will go into a runoff election with the candidate who won the most number of states.

Now, with that constitutional provision in mind, which candidate do you see winning the highest number of votes cast and which do you see winning the highest number of states?

My Projection

With Atiku seeming to have the masses of the north singing his name, and considering that over the time, the north records the highest voter turnout, I’m projecting Atiku to win the Simple Majority votes. But it is also tricky here because if Atiku fails to get the votes he’s hoping to get from the south and those states throw their weight behind Peter Obi, Obi might likely flip that position and get the simple majority and only fall short of spread.

On who wins the most states…. Now, this is tough one. But let’s suppose Atiku wins simple majority due to millions of northern votes and the struggle for who won the most states is between Obi and Tinubu …

Now, every pundit, including opponents, agrees that Peter Obi will win Southeast and Southsouth. That’s 11 states. Similarly, oppositions have conceded Plateau, Benue and Abuja to him. And that gives you 14 states; this is what is practical, empirical, factual, verifiable and demonstrable. But if you permit me to join those who claim Peter Obi will flip Lagos, then you 15 states for Obi.

On Tinubu, he’s likely going to win all of Southwest states. That’s 6 states. Now, add Kwara and Kogi, due to affinity with the Yoruba, and Borno and Yobe, due to Kashim Shettima, that’s 4 states plus 6, which makes it 10 states. Again, in the Northwest, people have been saying Tinubu will win Zamfara due to Mattawale’s dedication to his campaign, which will make it 11 states. Some of his supporters have also argued that he is also likely to win Gombe due to Governor Yahaya Inuwa’s vigorous campaign for him. So let’s add Gombe, and you have 12 states. Or should we add Nasarawa because Governor Sule is also sincere with his campaign for Tinubu and APC chairman is from there? Then you have 13 states. This is what is factual, practical and empirical for Tinubu, but he has a lot of probables surrounding him.

Note: If Obi succeeds in winning Lagos as some are projecting, then, that’s minus one for Tinubu which will reduce him to 12 states.

Likely Surprises…

Before I conclude, I make due to point out some of the likely surprises that the presidential election might spring.

In Nasarawa…. Peter Obi might end up winning this state when you consider that there is a demography of about 55% Muslims and 45% Christians (some have said they are 50/50, but I don’t think I agree with that). Now, if the Christians end up voting in bloc for Peter Obi and the Muslims split their votes between Tinubu and Atiku, what do you think will happen?

In Kaduna…. Even residents of Kaduna are attesting to the fact of the growing popularity of Labour Party in the state, maybe due to Datti. Add that to Southern Kaduna voters. Now, if the Muslims split their votes between Atiku and Tinubu, and Southern Kaduna voters vote in bloc for Peter Obi, with some little fraction of Muslim votes due to Datti, what does that tell you?

Then Taraba…. Taraba has always followed the voting pattern of the south (southeast and Southsouth ) since 1999. People mistake this for loyalty to PDP but I think it’s wrong because if you argue they are loyal to PDP then you can equally argue that PDP will still win Southeast because the region has voted PDP since 1999. So, in essence, Obi might just spring a surprise and win this state. But that’s speculative.

My Prediction

Lastly, I’m predicting that if Atiku and Obi make it to the runoff, then Obi will win due to southern solidarity because more Southwest voters are likely going to be persuaded to vote Obi.

If Obi and Tinubu advance to the runoff, Tinubu will win in the morning because core northern voters would rather vote a yam as Nigerian president than vote an Igbo man. Obi should avoid going into a runoff with Tinubu.

But if Atiku and Tinubu advance to runoff, then Atiku wins because Southsouth and Southeast will easily vote Atiku.

So, there you have it. What do you disagree with in my projections and which two candidates do you see making the runoff?

Penguin is a bird of reason!!!

Tinubu will perform better than Buharis. 2019 performance in all 17 southerns states against PDP. By better i do not imply win, but a reduced loss or a larger win. Tinubu will win in at least 15 states. Very realistically, in all 6 sw states, borno, yobe, gombe, zamfara, kebbi, katsina, kwara, kogi and Niger. There are many other states in the north west he may win, but i have choosen to leave open, take note i did not include Kano.
Tinubu will achieve a minimum of 25% in at the very worst 8 other states( kano, jigawa, sokoto, bauchi, kaduna, plateau, nasarawa and benue . Making it 23 states.

Obi will win about 10-11 states at most, i prefer to overrate my opponents.

Atiku will win 9-10 states.

I am projecting Tinubu with 12.5 million votes, Atiku with 11 million votes and Obi with 6.5 million votes.

A run off between Tinubu and Obi means an easy win for Tinubu. Although the likelihood of a run off is less than 30%

Atiku would still win (Note that I do not support him, or Obi or the BAT....)

What will happen is that the first round will end with Atiku first, then tinubu then Obi.

Since neither of them would have won enough to win the presidency outright...INEC would have to do a runoff BETWEEN the top 2...Atiku and Tinubu

Atiku would end up getting support from Obi...and would win round 2...and the presidency.

It's the only realistic outcome. I am wishing for an Obi victory outright (even though I do not back him, he is the least worst of the three)...or even better still, we vote out PDP, LP, APC, and NNPP (my dream outcome)...but wishes are not horses.
You make good analysis. However i believe there may be a runoff between Tinubu and Obi not Atiku.

I believe Tinubu, Atiku and Obi will have the Top 3 votes in that order, but because runoff in constitution is between the candidate with most votes versus the person with win of most number of states in the remaining opponents. I believe Obi will win more states (11-12) than Atiku(9-10 states) but less votes than Atiku. Tinubu will take 14-15 states. There is also a chance the election wont go in to a run off and Tinubu will win at first ballot. It is about 8 weeks left and a lot may still happen before the D day, but i rarely miss. Whether Atiku will support Obi in a runoff, i doubt, but PDP as a party will try to support him. The chance for a runoff is less than 30%.

Kobonaire234:
I'm seeing a lot of silly comments...sorry to say...that amount basically to 'The Best doctors have left Africa, therefore we have quacks'...because of one single case of malpractice in Zimbabwe.

First off, hundreds of successful CS take place in Nigeria every month without any complications. They don't make the news because the patient recovers fully. It's the bad news/complicated news that makes the papers. It does not negate the fact that negligence is a minority...not the majority.

Second, we don't know what happened here. Until there is a full investigation...we don't know if the woman died because 'the intestine was cut' or because there was a massive internal bleed, or because there was a issue with sepsis. All we have is some vague comments.

Finally, doctors leave nigeria not because of PDP or APC, or Obi or Buhari but because Nigeria pays a tax to gdp ratio of 8.1%. The countries we run to pay higher taxes, rely more on production, and as such have money to pay doctors to stay...and even then doctors jakpa (UK is taking a lot of our medicos...because many of theirs run abroad...to Austrialia among other places self). And also because fees are kept too low in Nigeria.

Here in Nigeria, a CS costs about N100000 , maybe as high as N500000 in some private hospitals. In the UK..one million naira or more. In the US...13 million naira. That's why they have money to attract our doctors. And Nurses, And other medical staff.

One reason why I say I won't vote for APC, PDP, LP, or NNPP, is not because I am pretending, but because none of the candidates so far are ready to take the tough decisions needed for us to get more money. Instead, we throw millions on corruption, subsides, and more subsides, and take loans to cover our asses. And every government does the same thing. We also don't want to raise that thing called tax to gdp ratio.

At the end of the day, we don't have enough money to pay for better salaries and facilites for our medics. Meanwhile in the UK, people can pay half their salaries for good service. Same in places like Germany (I even know one very good doctor who won't jakpa because he does not want to pay the type of taxes they pay in UK...he has a growing family self). The oil we use, at best , provides us a revenue of about 100bn dollars per annum if oil is above 100 dollars per barrel...or as low as 40bn per annum if oil is below 50 dollars per barrel. Not enough for the 230 million of us. We need an annual income of at least...in my opinion...300 billion dollars per annum to survive properly. And yes, we need to fight corruption well well. But for now, we need to earn more money than we earn now...not the one where we spend beyond our means and then take loans from mother IMF so that we don't get embarrased.

If you want to stop doctors from jakpa...either get government to remove subsides on petrol and power, so that they make enough profit to fix themselves , and so that the stealing , smuggling and sabotage therein ends , and that means that we would get jobs directly and indrectly...and a growing, industrial economy in ten years or more. Not this one where we vote for leaders like Buhari, Obi, Tinubu, GEJ , Atiku, etc because they will give us cake. We are too old for cake.
Lots of sense in your comments. Raw truths like you said lead to Nigerians burying their head in sand.

99.9% of the professionals fall in to the former situation in your example while less than 0.01% falls in to the latter situation, it begins to make me wonder why you will criticise what applies to 99.9% . The fallacy is shocking and makes me think there is more to it. The bulk of Nigerian graduates are underemployed, underpaid. At least 200,000 graduates pass through NYSC yearly. Nigeria do not have a short supply of graduates, let some leave if they want to leave. Not everyone will leave , some unemployed graduates will get jobs by virtue of those leaving creating vacancy.

I think many Nigerians criticising those leaving are doing that because of their " i better pass my neighbour" mentality. They keep wondering if those leaving will be "better" than them in the years down the line.

" i better pass my neighbor" syndrome affects a lot of Nigerians, it is a syndrome noticeable in home based Nigerians and Nigerians in diaspora.

Nigerians that have relocated in the last 10 years is less than a million. At least 200,000 graduates produced yearly is a joke to you? Much ado about nothing. I left the country and i am glad for the choice, i do not disparage my country and hope things get better. If you get a chance to leave legally , leave please if you are underemployed, unemployed or frustrated with the security and safety of yourself and family. Weigh your options sensibly. If 10% of those that leave relocate back to Nogeria, they will bring a fresh perspective hopefully although that is also not guaranteed. Many Nigerians in Nigeria are not productive and don't pay tax, they are redundant in the system, they will be more useful to Nigeria when they leave and send foreign remittance.

For those quick to criticise politicians, they are a reflection of followers. That is the reason why Nigerians should select their poison carefully from the politicians in 2023.

Olowosaudi:
Bros, there is no point arguing with kids who do not have knowledge beyond their noses. If truly Lagos was developed by the so-called Jagaban, why isn't the development translated across the other Yoruba states? Lagos is what it is because of the Federal government policy. Allow the Delta States to enjoy 100% of their oil revenue and we will see how much Lagos will generate from its internal revenues or the houses that are built in Lagos were built by Yorubas only Abi?
Then Lagos state should be allowed to collect thrillions of Naira generated annually on the ports.
