seguno2:Your question is clever by half. How much was a brand new car in 1979 and 2022? How much was a bag of cement in 1980 compared to 2022? Did Teachers buy jakande house 100% or was it mortgaged? |
Dsalvo:Well captured. Bandwagon, eye candy, no critical thinking, what is "popular" followership. |
seguno2:yes. There are more spendings now, with way more people greedy and ready to steal, not just politicians. The teachers could barely pay house rent then and they were contented, that can't be said of now. |
VeryWickedGoat:really that is less than $400,000 per annum now Mention what you are sure of |
seguno2:There is a limit to free education at this time. I agree with wholesome free education up to primary level, any level after that is aspiring for cheap but no quality education in a highly populated but low income economy country like Nigeria, times and seasons have changed. In actual fact, tertiary education is still highly subsidised. Anyone waiting for free education in 2023 because it was done 50 -70 years ago is in lala land and will have to keep up with times. Parents should cut their coats dependent on the size of the cloth |
Talk is cheap. some dolts even say Lagos should be dubai because of the money it makes. How come Nigerdelta with easy to make 13% oil derivation not Dubai? Give this dundee 2 years to govern Lagos, it will be massive disaster. |
frank14011991:you got it perfectly |
Mercisharelove:@Mercisharehate Becareful with the morbid talk. Everyone will die, but becareful wishing others death. |
15 states sure for Tinubu as at today. All 6 SW states, Borno, Yobe, kwara, kogi, Zamfara, Kebbi, Gombe, Niger and Katsina About 6-7 states are a potential win but also a possible loss for Tinubu- Kano, Jigawa, Nassarawa, Plateau, Kaduna, Benue and River states if Wike chooses to support 14 states are almost sure loss- all 5 SE states, 5 SS states excluding rivers, Bauchi, Adamawa, Taraba, Sokoto |
Operation tell me 7 states in the North , Obi will get 25%. If there is not at least 7 states in the North, 100 million votes will not make him President. |
Dundee. Self love and preservation before anything else. |
While dating him, you did not notice all these terrible traits? Wasn't he a weed addict then? Was he doing house chores? Was he financially independent then? You made your bed, lie on it. |
Vote4Obi:so much venom. You are lost in your delusion. I can't relate with you. |
The average nigerian is greedy and self seeking. Imagine labour party officials already fighting openly for monetary allocations. Anyone still living in utopia that a presidential candidate will turn Nigeria to paradise in 4 -8 years is in utter delusion. Tinubu is the best of the top 4 candidates due to his nack to use commonsense to make decisions and appoint relatively better individuals to get the job done. There will be no magic bullet, but i will expect aggressive drive to geometrically increase Nigerias earnings, end fuel subsidy, be sufficient in refining oil and export some , additional 5000MW in the next 4 years. |
People forget easily how pdp ruled SW with thugs. Makinde is slightly better and not a core PDP like politician , but he is still romancing auxiliary who occasionally brings political violence. |
He does not need to win 2 more states in the SE/SS, if he does fine, but if not it is ok. The wike camp alignment if it works this month can lead him to win 2 states in the SS. He will win all 6 southwest states and at least 9 out of the 19 northern states. That is a total of 15 states at least. PDP still remains his immediate rival, and the margin of win for APC over PDP will be wider than last election in the SW. 9 states in the North he will win (Borno, Yobe, Zamfara, Kwara, Kogi, Katsina, Kebbi, Gombe and Niger) 6 states in the North he may win (Kaduna, Kano, Jigawa, Benue , Plateau and Nassarawa ) 4 states in the North he will lose (Sokoto, Bauchi, Adamawa and Taraba ,fct ) By region SW - 62% SS- 23% SE - 12% NW- 42% NE-40% NC- 45% It is a 3 horse race as things stands i must confess, but only the first 2 (APC and PDP) has a realistic chance of winning. 33% of the total southern votes and over 40% of the Northern votes will be sufficient |
It is common sense. Leave legally if you can, you are better outside if you are productive and can provide foreign remittances than unemployed or massively underemployed and imagining a magician president that will turn Nigeria to first world economy in 4 years and end up getting disappointed. Nigerias leaders are a reflection of the followers. There wont be any quantum leap improvement for at least next 5 years. The catalysers like 24 hrs power supply across the nation, geometrical growth in nations revenue, massive infrastructures , factories and SMEs that will drive growth of the nation will not materialise till about 4 years if the nation chooses a visionary leader that can employ common sense in 2023. As much as it may sound ironic to many youths, Tinubu is that closest bet in 2023, yes he is frail, but a lot can be done if you employ the "right" hands, he typically does that better than most politicians. |
Omadachi:he had suffered goals drought consistently before the world cup and the replacement was banging in goals. If a striker fails to score in about 10 games, the confidence level plummet. This match may reawaken him. |
My team is out of the world cup. |
You listed 22 states and fct. Where are the other 2 states. It is 24 states + fct. |
Uniquekriss:Senegal lost 0-2. |
I doubt they can, They have a tall order against Ecuador in a must win game. Ecuador needs a draw to qualify and todays stats show they were a better side against Netherlands, although the game ended 1-1 |
“Kabiyesi, Your Royal Highness, as I stand before you, there are few of us left running. One says he is Atiku. How many times has he been running? He’s always on the run and he’s tired. Tell him to go and sit down. Enough is enough. ![]() |
It is based on Anti tinubu stance jare |
Letmehelpyou:iran was not a shaky start, that was a disastrous outing. Qatar did not have any pedigree and lost convincingly 2-0. Shaky start is a narrow loss, a draw or a grinding win by a team with pedigree against a team less fancied |
Argentina may end up winning the world cup. Teams that end up winning the world cup usually have a shaky start. Spain lost to switzerland in the 2010 world cup and won the worldcup. Hardly does a team with a convincing win at first game win the worldcup. |
Osewa03:come down from your high horse and enough with the gibberish. Canada is not paraside. You have a distorted reality. I am also in Canada but will not write condescendingly like you did. There are over 200 million Nigerians, even if 200,000 Nigerians travel out, it is a drop in the ocean as that is 0.1%. However we as diasporans can and must also contribute to Nigeria. Your foreign remittances goes a long way to help the economy. There is no magic bullet to fix Nigeria as some youths with distorted reality may think. It will be gradual but painful. Leave as a youth legally if you can, but don't deride or curse the country. |
14 states for Tinubu. Lagos, ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ondo, Ekiti, Borno, Yobe, Kogi, Kwara, Zamfara, katsina, Niger, Kebbi |
socialmediaman:runoff is not between highest and second highest votes, it is between highest votes and the individual who won the highest number of states from the other candidates. If there is a tie of number states won , then second highest votes will be considered. |
Ddokie:i see you named 5 states. It is less than 100 days to election oooooo. So you truly believe labour will have 25% in those states and less than 75% of the votes will be shared among APC, PDP, e.t.c |
Brimstone77:obi is a blessing to APC in this election. Anti APC is divided in to 3 ;pdp, lp and even NNpp. The SE typically votes for PDP even if it is a cockroach on the ticket. Having an Obi to divert the votes is a success. |
