CheapHomes1:i repeat none of the former presidents can buckle Tinubus sandals when it comes to intelligence, if you disagree, prove to me otherwise or keep shut. I made my assertion with my own facts. I am not going to lecture you on what you can find on your finger tips. |
CheapHomes1:you can keep deceiving yourself asking questions to no end. I am talking of an accomplished professional, you are referring to opportunistic secondary school graduates who joined military and plotted coups to become head of state. Can Abacha be employed as a common clerk in a multinational company?. Research Nadeco and the frontline actors to identity Tinubus effort against the military. Buhari was the only candidate that could have defeated the incumbent in 2015, he was not the best, but the optimal candidate. It takes intelligence to know your limit and use the tools available. Nigeria was tilting towards a one party state, at a point failure PDP was controlling 31 out of 36 states. There is no magic bullet to Nigerias issues. The fallacy of most of your questions is you are clever by half and asking open ended questions that you can find answers on google. I am not paid to lecture you. |
CheapHomes1:His professional life and political life attests to that. He rose professionally with Arthur Andersen & Deloitte as a professional and joined Exxon Mobil to become its treasurer barely 40 years old. He masterminded an opposition with a seed of one state of Lagos after 2007 general election to become a winning party in a space of 8 years. He mainly utilises intelligent people to fill critical positions, something not common with an average Nigerian politician. Little wonder people even want the Osinbajo he annointed as VP to take over as president in 2023. He was visionary as a lagos state governor from 1999-2007 and masterminded a strong IGR drive that many state govts now copy. Waste management techniques, transportation BRT schemes and road construction, even education where some missionary schools were returned to missionaries, millenium schools e.t.c, investment e.g Econet deal, bond strategy to finace infrastructure, power plant project e.g Enron deal, lekki free trade zone, eko atalantic, railway. E.t.c some where. He was fighting many battles as an opposition governor against a PDP controlled by Obasanjo who i can beat my chest is not halfway as intelligent as a Tinubu. Some allocations for Lagos state were seized during his tenure because he was smart to create Local council development area to spread development. I have studied him enough to understand this is surely an intelligent person. |
OmoEpe:The video is on the front page. He said it in the uploaded video. He is covering lies with lies. |
plaindealer:i heard that and i was shocked. They have a brewery in Osun state, Ilesha for quite a while. This man must be taking his followers for a fool. |
But the video shows he clearly said that. This is a serious integrity issue. |
blowjohn:so you dont know he was impeached?. one begins to wonder what the Obi adherents know about the candidate they are supporting. |
I have always maintained Tinubu is highly cerebral and development centric, he also combines that quite well with the dexterity of politics. he is in a class of his own. He is going to be only intelligent president we ever had. Talking 2023 politics, Obi needs to get stronger in the SS and SE though, it will be to Tinubu's gain. Tinubu will win in the SW,NW, NC. NE will be a battleground. The votes differential from SW, i believe will have close to 60% voters turnout with his main opponent in the PDP will offset PDP gains in the SE and SS. Likewise the vote differential in NW will offset PDP NE wins with remainder. NC will be an icing on the cake. The politics will play out in the next 8 months. While a lot can change in a day, i have never failed with the geopolitical analysis of presidential elections. |
Paullo19:I wont subscribe to dem say dem say. Show me any where Obiano stated Obi money was used to build airport. Someone who is notoriously known to lie with statistics since the VP debate in 2018 can hardly be trusted. "The cable" is not the usual Nigeria print, they did an investigate journalism and crosscheck Obis claim of investing $20 million to now worth $100million. The stats shows a terrible performance. Obi quoted his investsment in dollars and not Naira, even if we cut him some slack for depreciated value of Naira As of last month, Obi was still in PDP. I am not discussing party at this time. I am simply saying he is not what some superficial youths on social media is painting him to be. He is clearly médiocre. His investment is also self centred as there is a report stating his family ties to the company he invested in. He was saving money and refusing to borrow in a state with large infrastructural deficit. A road contract worth 5 billion in 2010 is now maybe 15 billion to get the same road fixed. Nigeria has never had an intelligent president, Tinubu is the nearest chance if he doesnt suffer any mental decline as he has obviously shown signs of physical illness. When people say Buhari didnt perform as expected because he was sick, i tell them, you can not give what you dont have, it is not because of Buharis health. |
Paullo19:Fraud cases since 1998 that PDP that was in power from 1999-2015 could not subtantiate. He is now out of power since 2007. So for 8 years 2007-2015. They could not try him and make him pay. I am critical thinker and not swayed easily. Sahara reporters owner is a presidential candidate and has increasingly been throwing shades on all the frontline candidates. I deal with facts and figures. Obi imvestment in Naira value has only increased marginally. Obiano did better with creating value with the airport and bridges built in Anambra. Obi did next to nothing with Anambra IGR. I took time to study his tenure from 2006-2014. Nigeria badly needs someone who can astronomically increase revenue, while putting an end to fuel subsidy to stop one of the biggest leakage. Let me break your heart if you are open minded, he installed his crony from Fidelity Bank as a successor(Obiano) thinking he can control him but they fell apart in little time. |
Hisbah21:i can bet it easily. Tinubu is abundantly more intelligent and a better administrator than a Obi. It is surprising how people get carried away with social media fad. Most people criticising Tinubu have not heard him speak or xrayed his life before politics objectively. He came from the private sector as a professional to Politics. Anyone who can rise with a multinational like delloite and Exxon mobil is not a joke. He combines the sagacity required in politics with a rare intelligence in political actors needed for development. That he is continually smeared since the last 15 years or thereabout is because he was the face of opposition for a while and later made his party defeat an incumbent with a political dexterity that is not usual. |
Smithkline200:APC did not come from the blues, they had structure of governors and other elective posts from ACN, cpc and even Apga. They had at least 9 governors at the start and later joined by 5 dissenting pdp governors. The youth need to understand what political structure means for presidential election is the message i want the 2023 presidential election to pass across. Obi can create a movement, but he can create one to start by winning few elective posts in 2023(governors and senators). He is creating noise in social media largely fuelled by Southerners (70% of those from SE) in about 10 states. 2023 is largely PDP vs APC in terms of presidential election. It is too late for any other party to win at the polls. To state otherwise is to not understand the political terrain of the country. Apc is profiting the most from the Obi candidacy. To be sincere, i will stop making any explanation on this forum about Obi candidacy for the next 8 months as i am rooting for Tinubu over Atiku. |
Multiplier7:i give it to you guys, you all believe your delusions so strongly. Buhari is Jibril from Sudan. |
Mugun. You modified a post from 2016 to lie. |
Onyeigbo10000:he is an igbo candidate, packaged on social media as the next best thing after sliced bread. As Anambra state governor he was not outstanding if we use development index of a state to judge a governor. He failed to increase the internally generated revenue of the state. Little wonder there was no appreciable infrastructural development in his state from 2006-2014. His scorecard on health was also failure or was he not one buying Keke Marwa as ambulance? Did Doctors in his state not go on strike for over 9 months? He said he is a trader, did Onitsha market witnessed any remarkable development in his tenure? Did Ebonyi state, the SE state with the least revenue not show signs of development. The Obiano he imposed on APGA from his fidelity bank had way more to show in terms of infrastructural development in 8 years than him. Pandora crime and over a quater of a billion naira found in his vehichle in 2013 all tell me this is no saint, but a sly man. Ibos on social media attack anyone not supporting Obi. By the way 70% of the so called social media supporters are ibos. If Yorubas dont see through this Ibo deception, shame on them. Ibos will still predominantly vote PDP(60%) in SE states. It is a culture of my way or the highway. |
How this Peter Obi suddenly became a saint suprises me. For Yorubas who may get swindled by the social media movement. Peter Obi imposed his successor Obiano a management staff from his Fidelity bank on APGA, but ibos are quick to accuse Tinubu of doing same. He is not as intelligent as a Tinubu, I can bet easily on that. |
Grandmmaster:social media youths on twitter are deceiving you. They are called noisy minority for a reason. You know that lousy noise maker in a class of 50 that is always seeking attention that is the case of the obi. At least 2 of 3 people canvassing for Obi are ibos on the social media space. In fact most ibos not quite active online are voting either PDP or apc. |
All these old men whose ego can not cash the cheques they write. Their prayer is to see Tinubu fail, so they can say we told you. They are not in anyway political adept, and talk more than do what is necessary. If not for Tinubu, maybe we would dangerously be a one party state now with PDP controlling all 36 states. PDP was controlling 31 states as at 2007 election. He masterminded a relentless opposition with ACN recovering edo, ekiti, Osun from PDP by 2010, as at this time, the main opposition party ANPP was increasingly getting weaker. The Afenifere shot themselves in the leg in 2003 presidential election / gubernatorial election under AD. Tinubu was the only surviving AD governor after warning of the consequences of alliance with Obasanjo in PDP. Afenifere can not rewrite history, they are weak and have shown themselves to be featherweight. If Tinubu fails today or in the general election, history will be kind to him as the man who stood up when it mattered. A doer not a talker. |
Tinubu's foresight to form alliance very early with the necessary North is tomorrows joker. |
The Show of shame by the SE, spearheaded by OUK will be televised. He is the C in C of the south saboteurs. |
Politics requires strength and it surpasses bitterness and hatred. The SE APC caucus is championing another 8 years for the North in person of Lawan. I hope the SW can see through all of this. It was not much different with SE PDP as they also ganged up against a Southerner in favor of a Northerner. For the SE politicians, i hope when Tinubu wins they wont have an entitlement mentality. |
If the South did not have a strong candidate in person of Tinubu, the APC northern cabals may succeed with the northern coup. |
Lets assume what he was told by his dad is true, so because as Lagos State Governor he jokingly refers himself as Eko, he is a demented egomaniac. If many had a quarter of power and influence he had, we know how it will end. |
The print media is not tired of manipulating the readers even on the day of primaries. |
How some people overrate their noise shocks me. It obviously shows lack of awareness. How can a country with 36 states and FCT, some short sighted youth simply believe that a social media noise from less than 10 states with virtually no presence in other states translates to a supposed victory. The only chance a party different from APC or PDP wins 2027 presidential election is a merger of a breakway from any of the 2 major political parties. I mentioned 2027, it is not a mistake. |
Whether Fulani from Mali, Gambia, Senegal or wherever, they have accomplice from Fulani from Nigeria. Enough of the Fulani barbaric 18th century ideology. I hope Southerners can see and not be sleepy. No Fulani herdsmen should be allowed in any settlement in the South. |
iCauseTrouble:Nigeria has more of a revenue problem than expenditure issues. We are not going to make any appreciable progress with the type of revenue we make with sizable part of it coming from oil sales. I opine we need at least 4 times more what we currently generate. One biggest Expenditure drainer is fuel subsidy, that should be cut off starting 2023. Systemic Corruption is another, and it will take a while to witness any major reduction as Nigerians love their village thieves. I maintain that Obi is overrated as he did not necessarily show depth as Anambra governor, yes he may he frugal which itself is not bad, but there was no tangible growth in revenue nor infrastructural growth. He wants to move Nigeria from Consumption to production, but he was not phenomenal in proving that in Anambra State. I have listened and studied his account of stewardship, i am not impressed. Beyond the waec performance of Anambra student A tiny Ebonyi state with less financial resources have made great infrastructural strides even in the midst of oil doom. |
PaChukwudi44:He won't sweep the North, the APC structure is stronger than PDP in the North. Kwara, Benue, Kogi, Plateau, Borno, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Jigawa, Gombe, Kebbi e.t.c Even Jonathan a christian Southerner under ruling PDP structure won against Buhari in some Northern states in 2011. If and most likely if SW candidate (Tinubu the strongest)wins APC primaries, the voter turnout will increase massively in the SW, the region has the second largest voters. The SW, NW and NC will be won by APC. The SS and NE will be the battleground zone, which can go either way. |
PaChukwudi44:he does not need to win, the labour party votes will be votes pdp will lose. There will be large voter apathy in the SE. Apc will win at least 2 SS states. Take my statement to the bank. |
Acn bloc left are Tinubu, Fayemi, Amosun, Osinbajo. |
Emmanuelhector:you are the one crying. Your imagination is deceiving you. Politics is beyond emotions. This is APC primaries, you may want to confirm total delegates in Ebonyi. Versus all delegates. |
