Check out countries where women are treated like equals where they are not pressured into marriage and can pursue their dreams you will see so many inventions by the females there unlike Nigeria where women are only respected if they have a husband and children.
Lastly I mentioned women contributing financially because you started the whole thing by saying men are providers so women should retaliate by paying rent so I had to let you know women are also providers like men and they contribute to rent and feeding and other bills.

You will leave your house and see female hawkers, female market women, hair dressers, tailors, restaurant owners, even cleaners, petty traders, receptionists, nurses and all the ones in big institutions and companies then how can anyone still argue that women don't contribute financially? The same women have to be in the homefront getting pregnant and taking care of children and keeping the household net and running smoothly and still assisting the man with breadwinning but they never get any acknowledgement. The only time Nigerian men will agree that a woman is contributing to the house is when she is fully the breadwinner and also carrying housework squarely on her head.
