This is a good one. I believe that if a person ONLY ever has other people who have regrets about their marriage as friends/acquaintances, they might need to "check" themselves and the kind of people they have chosen to surround themselves with. |

First things first, the man is NOT her husband.
Secondly, what plans has he made towards making their union legal in the eyes of the law and of her family?
Thirdly, if she hasn't yet told the man she has three kids for and whom she has been living with for 17years, about this white man and his help, then her problem is bigger than what anyone can solve on NL. |

eyinjuege: Then don't wail when you are called out on your hypocrisy. It's as simple as that. If you dislike someone enough to troll them when alive, keep the same energy at their demise. Lol, but I didn't see any guy wailing here. As a matter of fact, it's your friend whom you're obviously trying to defend, that has been doing just that. @bold text, it's totally not your place to decide/dictate. If a troll chooses to be contrite and has found it in his/her heart to genuinely mourn the death of a victim of their trolling, it is well within their rights to do so but very far from yours to legislate.Good day. |

You can't insult people and also tell them how to return the insult, it's not done. There's no rule of engagement when it comes to brawls on social media. The earlier people understand this the better for them. I don tell them taya, yet dem nor wan gree get sense. Recently, I've even become a crazy fan of the report and mail supermods buttons, I don't even want to see their comments anymore once they start displaying in my mentions. |

eyinjuege: I don't know much about her and never heard of her health issues until someone posted the insults and mocking given her because of it. Disagreeing with someone is perfectly normal, but we all should learn some decorum while at it (myself inclusive). I know some people on this forum can at times bring the devil out of you, as I've had my own fair share of throwing gbas gbos, but stand your ground and just move on afterwards. There are some people here I can never respect because we have very opposite values and I don't respect their values. That's absolutely fine. But if it becomes a case of always deliberately attacking someone online when they were alive, you can easily just ignore the thread put out about their demise or perhaps even come on there to throw more gbas gbos. Trolling is very different from disagreeing with an opinion It is simply not in your place to decide or otherwise dictate how anyone should respond to a thread despite what/who the thread is about, or the presumed relationship you believe they had with the subject of that thread. Until some of you ladies get this basic fact sorted out in your heads and finally understand that the internet is not your private living quarters, issues like this will keep coming up. |

NextD18: Chii is very toxic, mannerless, disrespectful and always quick to form victim with her health when the favor is returned.
I don't know much about the cause of her deactivation, but I've seen that very lady curse and insult people here UNPROVOKED, and when they return the insult, she'll switch to her health bla bla bla!
That lady has personally and countlessly insulted me, dragged my mum just because i aired my opinion on a front page topic, but I had to ignore her because I don't like her and I don't reply mentions of people I don't like.
If any of you had loved and cared about Chii when she was active, you would have called her to order and advice her to stop attacking people, not forming motivational speakers when people insult her. That's how it should be. You know these chics very well, this is their usual MO and it's not just Chii. Can't believe anyone with sense would want to paint her as a victim of anything. As in, Chii, how? You have sickle cell, you know that people know this, you know it hurts you when people use it to mock you, yet you won't respect yourself and stop being provocative. Is that not madness? How can you be the one to dictate how people should respond to you, or what they can use against you after you started a fight. Unto say you be who nau? I remember one thread where guys were posting Red Pill quotes and just generally engaging themselves, only for this girl to start disrupting the whole thing, making provocative comments and being a complete nuisance. They finished her on that thread and the thing sweet me wella, I can't pretend. I've told some of these chics whom I've had spats with here before, don't go with your table knife to war and expect a person who is armed with a machine gun to pity you. Dem nor still dey hear word, always looking for who will answer them, only to turn around & start shedding crocodile tears. |

Family › Re: Why Do Nigerian Women Feel so Entitled by crackhaus: 8:16am On Feb 24, 2021 |
lekki1444: Well i have to admit giving out my phone number is silly but i am not the type to say no to poeple to their face, and no i am not a hard man, and no i am not a redpiller based on misogyny and bad experience with women, I am just someone seeking a higher spiritual path and i find being in relationships is hardwork in itself and i am just not ready for that kind of hardwork in my life. i love my own company and doing things at my own pace. i dont want to dance to another persons tune. yu get me ? so i am not one of these angry i hate women dudes. for me its just that my lifestyle as a solo guy is very convenient for me right now and i want to keep it like that for a while. I think you're explaining yourself a little too much. What you described in your OP is nothing short of facts. Nigerian women are quite entitled when it comes to expected benevolence from men – whether in form of cash, gifts, or favours. This is not a case of just saying that all Nigerians are entitled. As far as I know, all humans generally feel entitled to a certain extent... But like your story points out, these women simply take it to a whole other level when they make it seem like men owe them assistance or something. Anyone who is honest with themselves and has lived/lives in Nigerian society can attest to the above. I myself have had more than a few experiences like yours, a lot actually, but it's not something I give too much thought to anymore as I am already used to them. Now while some women like those in your example can be quite direct, the majority would usually employ more subtle means through jokes and hints, and once they discover you're not the type who gives freely, they'd quietly retreat and not make a fuss. It's just what it is, and admitting that these things do happen has absolutely nothing to do with misogyny or TRP. It's just basic social awareness. One doesn't need to be politically correct all the time just because we want to avoid hurting anyone's touchy feelings. LOL... As an addendum, giving out your phone number is not silly in any way. I honestly don't get how exchanging contacts with ladies and helping them out one time should justify them asking for more favours from you... I mean, isn't that the same entitlement mentality we were just talking about? |

ABCthingx: xactly. They are having this problem abroad too. They want to the do away with God (the originator of morality) and still have a moral, lawful society at the same time.
Tell me, how can that work? People tend to forget that a lot of the laws in these countries were handpicked and fine-tuned from biblical laws. Humans on our own, left to our own predilections, and without a higher authority to fear/succumb to, will actually behave like animals without restraint. That's a fact. |

Family › Re: Why Are Charity Donations For Widows And Never For Widowers? by crackhaus: 5:59pm On Feb 22, 2021 |
bukatyne: I agree with herd thinking in the society. And almost all societies are alike at its core.
Humans are same; just different laws curtailing their behaviors.
You are comparing 'home/unit' level treatment of widows: outlawed widowhood practices, their in-laws stealing their properties etc. To the societial treatment of sympathy they get.
In my initial post, I said women 'manage' the home/family hence are judged harshly there; men 'manage' the society hence judged harshly there.
Widows get men & women who want to help them (some at a cost); widowers do not even have helpers at all.
If not for man placing a premium on his sexual need, how is sleeping with a woman (who might also enjoy it) for help in cash or kind a fair exchange? |

WoundedLamb: So would you send your kids to Africa like my friend plans to do? Absolutely not. And it's not because I consider the African system of raising kids to be archaic (quite the opposite), but simply because I won't need to. WoundedLamb: But these aside, what's your take on sending kids home at thier teenage age? Does it really make them better? Honestly, I do not believe it does. As a matter of fact and from personal experiences so far, the culture shock which most of these returned kids experience, usually pushes them to get involved in worse vices than they would have been involved in if left alone. If such moves should be made at all, I'd rather it be when they are much younger (between age 4 – 13) and certainly not as teenagers. |
