That was my jokey way of leaning towards a humanistic approach to life (well, from an independent and not a member stance)
It’s not that kind of do (I don’t even know if I understood you properly)
Happy Sunday/December

i don't think quiet means unfriendly, some people are not just ur friend, no matter how u force yourself to be their friend.
Your introductory post is speaking from the perspective of other people right?

So I'm typing, in response to your question - a quiet person could be seen as unfriendly by other people, but not quite a threat.

Everyone who has done studies on slavery in sub-saharan Africa knows that the westerners would not have succeeded in laying their hands on Africans living in the hinterlands if the natives themselves had not willingly captured their kinsmen and transported them to the coasts.

God bless the ancient Benin Kingdom and Ijaw kingdom who refused to sell their kin into slavery - I don't want to mention names, but we all know the ethnic groups that did this.

Perhaps she's trying to keep with the custom of the ancient Hebrews. It was common for children to be suckled till about age 3 in that culture, though I feel the 5years she's working with is a stretch.

Hmm, a sanguine is people friendly and if your wife is such, she will be calling them always. Deny her that and u will make her unhappy. I grew up having so much respect for elders. If I'm in town,I do visit quite a number of them so I wonder how I will feel if I don't call my mother or father in law.

There is one mummy that is hardly related to my husband's people except that the family friendships spans when they were still single. As mummsy no dey, she comfortably took the role of mummsy. If I call this lady, she will be so happy. She don't need anybody's money. One of the ruling families of naija. She just want to hear your voice. This is what they want. Just to hear that voice saying mama, how are u. Not calling bc my husband is on the phone with her. Most parents want that.
Look at your dad, as u don't call, he is calling. It stabilizes their blood pressure. I have seen cases where they cry that their son in laws hardly call them. It's not good abeg.
We will be like them one day.

My husband don't call anybody. Only his dad and most time it's the old man calling. I push him to call and visit. U must call o. He will be whinning that I'm disturbing his life but secretly he loves that I push him to do things like that especially as the first born.Others can afford to misbehave but not him.
I can very well relate with this.
In fact, visiting is a stress trigger for me.. cheesy Once I know I have to visit someone, I start thinking of excuses and even manufacturing reasons to postpone it.

With calling, I'm getting better - I think IM apps affected me so badly that I deliberately began avoiding & using them to contact family & friends.
This way, I'm now calling more instead of just texting.

I've been on both sides though, so I can understand people who are not so good at calling - which is why I hardly take it personal when someone does not call me often.
There's room for improvement anyway.

Lots of skin infection flying around and mostly guys.

When they don't proper hygiene serious undecided

U wear boxer 2 days straight yet u open mouth to say girls smell. They hardly groom.their body.

The average naija body is a breeding ground because of the humidity. When we do clean up, we use only soap and water. Sometimes only water. Is that one clean up?

Germs breed mostly in the kitchen and bathroom. And on the body, ur boxers, bushy private parts etc.

Guy, meet a dermatologist. A simple culture will show what's wrong with u and adequate treatment administered.
You see yourself for outside? cheesy
See what rushing to blast men has caused you.

And even if it was a man, mad man wey dey chop rotten trash and no dey baff still no dey get infections associated with bad hygiene. grin

I'm thinking this might be HSV-1 (Skin Herpes) that has developed overtime and has been left untreated.

Will it hurt you if your wife don't call your old man or mum? Or only chip in when u are with them on the phone?
Not at all, simply because there is always going to be a reason for my wife to want to call them besides just chipping in when I'm with them on the phone (not like I have any issues with this being the only time).
But anytime she tells me she has any health scare, I just tell her to call my mother to get a diagnosis, drug prescriptions, or just medical advise. Easy.

As for my pops, he's even the one to do most of the calling - that man is too playful with everybody and he's fond of checking up on people, his call time never runs out.
Sometimes I wish I was like that sef.

Wrong... This is a myopic view. Listen, nagging is a vent out of frustration or fear.... Women who nag lack security, affectionate attention and joy.

No woman loves to nag... But men are just insensitive most times. When women are pregnant they usually nag. So please don't generalize
Because these women are babies right?

Thanks to everyone. I learnt something new. Though I usually call his parents because if I do same, I won't be respected as a wife in his family. I have seen that it's his behavior. Over to him. My parents do not demand things from him, Infact for our wedding, it was a low-key wedding because my mum was a teacher then, she invited just 4 friends from her school, few friends from church .
Good, don't invent an issue where there is none.

For someone like him, you can get him to talk on the phone with your parents whenever you yourself are calling them - in this way, it will be you and him together on the phone talking to your parents and it won't feel too weird for him to just pick up the phone on his own to ramble some memorized lines.

Romance › Re: 10 Reasons Most Ladies With Average Physical Beauty Are Better by crackhaus:
Lmao... This was too funny to read cheesy
There really is no factual basis to backup your list at all.

I agree though that some girls/women who are very pretty do have a certain attitude about them - almost like they walk around expecting to be pandered to because of their stellar looks.

But you can't really blame them, I know I don't - it's the boys and men who feed this vanity that should be blamed.
Although a grown woman ought to realize that there's more to her life than her fading looks, but then I don't understand why a guy meets a lady and he can't say anything else but compliments her beauty...something that 10 other guys must have done the same week. cheesy

Of course a woman like this is bound to get carried away with all the attention, which is where people like me come in. grin
I make it a point of duty to make any beautiful girl/woman I meet come back down to mother earth - that's if I sense she has the 'attitude'.

Just telling her a simple, 'hi how are you, you good? You look stressed though, are you okay?'...
And she will spend the remaining part of that conversation wondering what it is about her looks that gave me that impression. She might even excuse herself (if possible) just to take a look at the mirror in her handbag to confirm.

The thing about beautiful women who are terribly vain is that they are the easiest to make insecure.
