mhd5757: Hey nairalanders, what do you think? Is this normal? Marriage doesn't appeal to me at all same as having kids, I prefer having dogs even now i have 2 of them and as soon as I get a job and make enough money I plan on getting 3 more making them 5 in number. I know most people, the first thing they want to do as soon as they get a job is to get married and have kids but not me, I'm also not interested in having a girlfriend, though I used to have one back then when I was in the university but we were forced to leave each other being that she had to go back to her country and I had to come back to Nigeria. After that I got another girl here in Nigeria, but I had to leave her because she was too expensive and she was draining me financially. After that, I just lost interest in relationships and I decided to be single, I decided that even if I feel the need to lay with a woman I can just go to an ashawo hotel or get a steady woman who I can be calling any time I need company. I think this is the lifestyle that suits me especially in this harsh economy, its easier for me. If I get married and have kids imagine all the money I'm going to have to be spending, excess groceries, all kinds of bills, school fees and the list goes on. At least having a steady woman to call like maybe once a week can't be as expensive as getting married and supporting a wife. Also having dogs can't be as expensive as raising kids, with dogs all I need to do is to buy their feed, their grooming products and pay for their medical bills and probably training fees too but with kids and a wife imagine all the bills, the lists keep compiling and they never end. What is your take on this? What do you think? There is nothing whatsoever wrong with you. Marriage is not for everybody. Having kids is also often thoughtless and selfish. |

Little unlearned OP, read carefully and understand these words.
All are schools, and indeed the world itself is a school. I hope you understand this school of thought.
Fools understand foolish things, But the schooled understand schoolish things
Now a college is an expression or division of a school In the School of the world for example, there is the famous College of Suffering
You need a Bachelor of Suffering Degree to really understand the world Ere you approach for the Masters or Doctorates of Control of Thoughts
And what is a University? A University is the Universe.
Or a droplet of same. Still a School. |

Gullah: I don't even get the point you are trying to make,
1. This is perhaps the most historic meeting on the Korean issue since the Korean war ended, how were they supposed to keep it silent? This is the biggest news in the world right now, from CNN to BBC to AlJazeera to all major Cable news networks, everyone is talking about it. How on earth are Trump and Kim jong un supposed to have kept it silent? Should they have banned all news channels from reporting about it?
2. What has the ages of Trump and Kim got to do with international diplomacy? Today the President of France is 39 years of age and President Buhari is over 70, would you consider it a let down if Buhari sat for a meeting with Macron? They are not there to represent themselves, they are there to represent their respective nations
3. Then you are basically rooting for Kim to refuse to give up his nuclear weapons for peace to reign in the Korean peninsular. North Korea is better off with a peaceful Korea. Their miserable amount of nuclear weapons will avail them nothing against the vastly superior armaments at the American's disposal. Trust me, if their was a nuclear conflict between the US and the North Koreans, North Korea will be wiped off the face of the earth The Korean peninsula is so small it might be impossible to drop a nuke on the North without harming the South. Has it ever occurred to you that this may account for the Norths boldness and intransigence? |

AnonyNymous: To be honest, I can't completely fault these guys. Because they actually do things. . .the N50 million is just a symbolic gesture of acknowledgement because I bet most members have far more. Let me give an example.
The Ikorodu library is where I go to chill/study when I'm at home and don't really have anything to do. All the shelves, and MOST of the books on them were donated by the Ikorodu Lion's club. The computers, and some of the tables too. I think that library is heavily underfunded and without the support of the Lion's club, it would probably just have to shut down. I can't say for other clubs but this is one I know of. I learned some members also make effort to tar local roads in some communities (the LGA Chairmen are practically useless, its clubs like this that do their jobs).
So if I were to see a memo where the state government gave N50 million to the Lion's club, I wouldn't feel cheated because I know those guys are doing far more.
I can't speak for others but this is a first hand experience of mine.

Romance › Re: Understanding The Secret Language Of Women by DeepSight(m): 9:02pm On May 24, 2018 |
Lazyreporta: Women have their own secret language, and yet they expect men to understand it. Pay attention guys. It is not what she says, but what she does that is the key to breaking this code. They are more subtle in their responses, instead of direct, like men are. For example, if you ask a woman something, and she responds with: I’ll think about it. It means no. Chances are, she may have put on a bland face to go with that remark, but if you are watching closely, you can catch the clues in her face.
If you ask a woman you just met for her phone number and she says: Well, I don’t give it out, but why don’t you give me one of your business cards? It means: I’m not interested. As I mentioned before, we have trained women not to reject us to our face, so they have had to develop more subtle ways of getting around to saying: No.
It is about understanding what all the cues mean. When a woman says: You never listen to me. Or: You never do this for me or that for me. In that moment, it is simply what she’s feeling. It doesn’t mean that you have never, ever done this or that for her. All it means is in that present moment, you are failing as a man to give her the presence that she is looking for from you.
That is why women tend to generalize a lot when they are saying things. They will say: I can’t stand you, or: You’re such a jerk, or she gets really mad and says she hates you. It doesn’t mean that she does not love you any more, but right then and there, in that moment, she is feeling that she hates your guts, because you failed, and she’s simply expressing that to you. Again, don’t take it personally.
She may be completely shut down to you. By your presence and communicating with her, you are going to work to open her back up. Once she is back open, she will usually apologize for what she said, with something like: I was just really emotional. Or she may be all over you and say: I love you! That is just her being a woman. It is part of the weathering of the storm.
Understanding the secret language is all about understanding what her responses mean. Guys think logically, and women think emotionally. Most of the time, women giving advice on other women are not going to come out and say: Well, she doesn’t like you. They do not want to come right out and tell you the things that hurt your feelings.
The more pauses a woman uses during speaking is an indication that she is thinking hard about how to try and word something. Listen carefully to her wording at this point. She is trying very hard not to be impolite or rude, but the actual words and where she places inflections on those words will tell you exactly what she is trying to say.
For example, you go up to a woman and say: Is anyone sitting here? Compare these statements: No, it’s open. Or she hesitates, shrugs, looks down or away and says: ...No...It’s open. The first one says that the seat is open and you are welcome to sit next to her. The second one says: If you really have to. The seat is open, but I’d rather you left it that way.
With a guy, language is like simplistic, straightforward dog commands: Sit, stay, lie down, and roll over. With a woman, it is like the cat analogy. You have to read her actions. You always judge a woman by what she does, not what she says. If she breaks a date and then tells you that she can’t wait to see you again in the same sentence, the bottom line is that she still broke the date. That tells me that she has a very low attraction, and she doesn’t really care to see me. When she says: But I can’t wait to see you again, it is her way of trying to make you feel good, and not be upset or mad at her for breaking the date. She hopes you will just figure it out. Women will understand what that response means. Most guys don’t understand what that response means.
LAZYREPORTA Dont waste your time trying to understand the language of women. It can never be understood. It is full of intrigue and manipulation, trickery and treachery, deceit and cunning. No upright man should speak or understand the language of women, for it is the language of snakes. |

busky101: really Have you ever come across the place in Leviticus whereby if you sin, they servant of God then will bring two goats, all they people thereby will confess all there sins on the Goat, imagine that Christ didn't die for our sins, will u be buying goats everyday to atone for your sins because we sin every day and there no remission of sin without Blood and whereby also the wages of sin is death. In the Old Testament if u keep 9 commandments and fail one you have failed all 10.
And the place you said "have you seen a God that requires human sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins, let me give you an illustration here. Let's take for example I went for money rituals, no sane native doctor will offer his son for me as a sacrifice for me to be rich while he loses his sons or stand the agony of cutting his son's head himself. But due to how serious God despises sin, Christ chose to die for mankind in other to redeem us from "The Law" so instead of buying goats every week to confess your sins, one man already bore the sins of all mankind upon himself and now when you sin all u have to do is come by the blood of Jesus before God's throne of mercy, remember there is no remission of sin without blood. So in a layman language. Christ bore our iniquities upon himself to set us free From Satan, don't let the devil deceive you or anyone else. Ignorance kills faster than HIV.. I will leave you with this scripture
Galatians 6:13
I pray God opens your eyes of understanding to know him better...

http://www.mcebisco.com.ng/2018/05/the-power-and-victory-of-cross.html Really my friend, tell me sincerely - how come a perfect and wise God requires human sacrifice for the forgiveness of Sins? Is human sacrifice not a detestable and barbaric thing as far as we know? In particular, how does the said human sacrifice in any way make the forgiven people better souls? For is it not our collective experience that after the purported human sacrifice of Jesus, the Nazarene Rabbi - humans have continued in evil and sin of every kind and description - and there is no discernible enlightenment of their souls? Would it not therefore appear that the so called sacrifice in fact did nothing whatsoever to improve or better the spiritual standing of humanity - not even those among them who call themselves Christians? Would it not have made better sense to you if forgiveness from a righteous God derives from the simple act and condition of repentance and penitence: repentance in the sense of genuinely recognizing the wrong of sin and withdrawing from it and penitence in the sense of feeling genuinely remorseful about sin and having a desire to live in higher and more noble ways? Should these two feelings not be the higher and noble feelings that would sensibly and naturally form the basis for the forgiveness of a loving, merciful and righteous God? Even as a human parent, what would form the basis of your forgiveness of an erring child? Would it not be these? In addition does it not make better sense to say that individual atonement is required? What justice is there in taking the sins of a person and placing them on the head of another person? How can a purportedly just God transfer responsibility or liability for sins from one who committed them to another who is blameless? How does this fit and work out in your worldview? At the end of the day, you are content to wave all these simple and sensible thoughts aside and conclude that the murder/ execution of a Jewish Rabbi some two millennia ago for some strange ritualistic reason serves to absolve you of your sins?Kontinu. |

Plaetton:
No sir. I am not aware that any inner being and inner mind stands above the laws of physics. That's odd. Perhaps you miss your own context. Do laws of physics drive cars absent human input? Are human concerns not the concerns at play within the context of your own comments? Do the laws of physics give a hoot if any one has an accident and dies? Please calm down and think carefully, oftentimes I find that your desperation to deny any subtle nuances of our inner spiritual nature leads you to insist on absurdity. Let me reiterate that the laws of physics are immutable, impersonal and non negotiable. Nobody is debating this point, so stop chasing your tail my friend. When you are operating a vehicle, you place yourself at the mercy of the impersonal laws of physics. If you examine this statement carefully and ponder deeply on it you will see that it contains a most startling absurdity. It starts by affirming that a human is the one in control - by stating "when you are operating a vehicle". . . this statement shows a human manipulating the laws of physics or rather using those laws to suit his own objectives. The absurdity then creeps in with the sudden reversal in immediately thereafter saying that the one in control is at the mercy of another force. Although I understand what you mean to say - to wit - the laws are there and if one operates wrongly the laws will take negative effect: you have still expressed yourself rather inelegantly. For you have more or less contradicted yourself in describing a human being as being in control of something that he is at the mercy of. Interestingly this paradox is still true of life in the realm of man and nature in general terms, so yes I do appreciate the point. Nevertheless what you miss is the element of mind. I sense you have not fully appreciated the gravity of the principle of mind over matter in this particular matter, no pun intended. There are no subtler nuances at play , other than your safety habits and those of your fellow road users to determine whether you exit the vehicle fully intact or in broken pieces. This is shallow. There are always unseen mind elements at play in all things about life. The accident that is going to happen will happen, no matter the precautions taken. This is something you may or may not understand. |
Travel › Re: 12 People Killed In Fatal Car Accident Along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. Photos by DeepSight(m): 3:29pm On Apr 29, 2018 |
plaetton: You have completely missed my point, my dear friend. In civilized countries, there are basic safety rules of the road that every road user must learn and pass before being permitted to drive.
Aside from that , there are layers of punitive measures, from fines, arrests, demerit points, high insurance premiums , drivers license suspensions, etc, that keeps individual drivers liable and accountable. Over time, everyone gets used to a system of orderliness and safety while driving. Safety and courtesy becomes ingrained in their psyche. Therefore, Safety should be the first and only abiding rule when driving.
We only speak of courtesy to other drivers because no one obeys the rules of the road in Nigeria . In fact, I guarantee you that 90% of Nigerian drivers don't even know what the basic rules of the road are. It is because of the lawlessness on road ( driving with NO RULES) that the issue of courtesy for other road users becomes a consideration. Now, even at that, let me remind you that showing courtesy to other road users is part and parcel of what is required to be safe on the road. That's what I mean that road safety is a shared responsibility.
Now why do we need to drive safely and be safety conscious ?
When we are operating a vehicle, we put our fragile bodies at the mercy of the laws of physics. The vehicle systems such as the breaks, the steering wheel, the signal lights, the horns, and most importantly, our eyes, ears, hand and arm reflexes, and our common sense , are all supposed to coordinate to keep us in line with the laws of physics, and prevent it from acting catastrophically upon our fragile bodies.
As you would agree with me, The Immutable laws of physics are impersonal and non negotiable. Therefore prayers and appeals to Earth and sky deities are futile efforts. Good heavens, are you lecturing a nursery school child - who on Earth does not know all this? I was simply pointing at the fact that the inner being and inner mind stands above as Principal over those laws of physics in the scenario you discuss. And once that is the case there are subtler nuances at play than the rigid notions you coldly advance. Not that those notions aren't true and valid. Simple. |

plaetton: No my dear. The expressway is not to blame. Nigerian drivers drive like people on a suicide mission. No one drives for safety. Everyone seems to be in a Formula One Race. I can't seem to understand the race that Nigerian drivers engage in and the ultimate prize they win. Nothing shocks me anymore about the suicides on our roads . I drove on that same road yesterday, and was continually mocked for driving slow and being safety conscious.
While discussing with the person inside my vehicle, it eventually came to one obvious truth ( which to me is the problem). She that rather bother myself with the problems on the road, that I just pray and leave everything to god. And Bingo !! Therein lies the problem. I tried in futility to convince her that laws of physics are impervious to prayers and other forms of wishful thinking.
How to educate Nigerian drivers about road safety is shared responsibility for everyone, and that laws of physics, not silly religious or superstitious Beliefs rule the road, is the great challenge of FRSC and the government in general. Does courtesy to other drivers or concern for human life derive from the laws of physics or from a higher inbuilt sense of humanity. |

HigherEd: Was the "man from middle east" killed by christians You better read the bible again. Jesus wasn't killed by Christians but roman soldiers in conjunction with pharisee Jews. This is rather odd. The question is not who he was killed by really. The question is rather the function of his killing. That function, as advanced by your religion - is the purchase by blood of the salvation of mankind. This in itself renders it a ritual. You should also bear in mind that this ritual is said to have emanated from God as his idea, and was sanctioned by him as effective salvation for the followers of Christ. Indeed the said killing was prophesied long before it occurred, according to Christian lore and Jesus himself is said to have known this and submitted to it. It is therefore abundantly clear that even if the hands that took him to the cross were Roman or Jew - the directing mind was that of the Christian God (who curiously the same Jesus is said to be - in a horrid mish-mash of the most twisted dogma conceivable). It was therefore for all purposes a ritual sacrificial killing. However Christ(our God) died for us as a one time sacrifice. It will never cease to amaze me how Christians can call a fellow man almighty God and see no blasphemy in it. I should also remind you that according to your Christian lore, Christ pleaded most fervently in the Garden of Gethsemane that "this cup should pass over my head". . . In addition, on the cross he sought forgiveness for those who had killed him. He once mentioned that his betrayer would suffer terribly. He told a parable describing how the son of the lord would be murdered and that such an act would incur the fury of the Lord. His apostle preached that whatever a man sows the same shall he reap. How does this not show you that the death on the cross was no propitiatory sacrifice? How does it fail to teach you that it absolves no one of sin - the truth rather remaining that you will reap what you sow? All religions recognize the importance of blood. But our own God decided to sacrifice his own self in the hands of unbelievers. Your God has blood? ? ? That's a story of Love and cannot be twisted by any demon inspired individual. I would say that you are the demon inspired one given your affinity with ritual human sacrifice. |

FOLYKAZE: My good friend, you should have pointed out anything that you observed in my previous post that is wrong. I hold a strong believe that you cannot counter and debunk any of my ground up there.
Recession was inevitable. We didn't arrive at recession overnight. The bad policies of past government was what led us into the horrible economy tragedy. It started from the moment past government couldn't diversify the economy. And the corruption plus wastage of the previous government all contributed to recession. The two economist, Soludo and Sanusi predicted the economic doom. Oby and Okonjo Iweala also trumpted warnings against wastage and inability of GEJ government to save.
In the word of Soludo: Jonathan's record on the economy is a clear ‘F’ grade. The poor choices made by the current government have mortgaged the future, and the next government would have little room to manoeuvre and would inevitably undertake drastic but painful structural adjustments. Nigerians loathe the term ‘structural adjustment’. With falling real wages and depreciating currency, I can see any belated attempt by the government to deal with the bloated public sector pitching it against a feisty labour. I worry about regime stability in the coming months, and I do not envy the next team. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.vanguardngr.com/2015/01/buhari-vs-jonathan-beyond-election-charles-soludo/amp/

Even when FFK had his brain intact, he said:
The difference is that under Obasanjo it was ”save, save, save” whilst under Yar’adua and later Jonathan it has been ”spend, spend, spend’. Yet if they insist on spending the question is what do they have to show for such high expenditure and what has this cost the Nigerian people in real terms. The Federal Government saved nothing for a rainy day and instead chose to just spend all the money.

Read some piece http://saharareporters.com/2016/08/29/nigerian-bingos-and-buhari-peter-claver-oparah
Provide evidence to your claims instead of making things up. How rampart is bombing now conpare to when GEJ was in power?
Boko haram took over more than 21 lga, bigger than the sizs of Belgium, but today, those territory have been overtaken by the Government.
How many coordinated attacked on military formation, barracks and school have you heard recently?
Did PDP returned the chibok girls? Give kudos to the people general for bringing back the girls PDP cannot protect.
Boko haram was spreading all over north and into north central. Abuja was not exempted. But today, they are ragtards and cowards who are on the run.
The government was subsidizing imported rice. That single action killed local industries and thrown job opportunities to foreigners. Before GEJ left, bag of rice cost ₦12000. And today, it cost ₦15000. The joy here is that Nigeria is producing rice, through which many are been employed and many mouth can feed. Rice mill is also springing up here and there. It is a sign that the turn is in favor of Nigerians on the long run. As production increases, price will fall. The most important thing is we are looking inward for our food.
Ohhhhhhhhhh. You have lost the memory of when construction collapse in Nigeria because GEJ couldn't pay money owed to the construction companies. You have forgotten how Buhari paid those debts and ordered them to return on site. You have forgotten that the second Nigeria bridge was built and commissioned on paper by GEJ. You have soon forgotten Buhari is making some progress on the said bridge. At present, that bridge is 46% completed and work is ongoing. You my dear have short memory.
Buhari was very right to review the contract handled to those companies. He is not a drunkard that just throw money around. Cost of construction, arrears and debt must be evaluated before work can continue. That is what a serious government do.
How much was naira to dollar before GEJ came to power? How much is it when he left?
Petrol was sold at ₦65 before GEJ took over and he left the price at ₦87 with incessant scarcity coupled with subsidy scam.
Petrol is sold today because it is partly deregulated. I for one, I am clamouring for full deregulation where demand and supply will determine price.
In three years, he has achieved more than all the PDP presidents combined. You are only blinded from seeing his successes.
What has age got to do with leadership? How old is Trump? How old was Ghandi when he ruled India?
We had acting president Osinbajo when Buhari was away. Buhari properly handled over to his deputy before embarking on any trip abroad. That is how democracy work.
This is baseless. How old is your family head? 10? 20? 30? Why haven't you relieve your family head from leading your family because he is old and weak or close to death?
Buhari is working, you should stop making noise to make him remain focus.
If you forget quickly, we never forget. We have not forgotten how PDP clampdown on opposition. We never forget how our election was militarized. We never forget the old days of ballot snatching and day light manipulation. Yar'Adua openly confessed that the election thay brought him into office was rigged. OBJ politics was do or die. Was it not under Buhari we now experience violent free election? Please give kudos to those thay deserve it. You are obviously mad. |

AgentOfAllah: Thanks for the tag Deepsight. Finally finished watching it..phwww!
It was a loaded 76 mins material that promised to provide "an in-depth look at the bizarre evidence that the universe could be a computer simulation". Unfortunately, with the exception of its general "bizarreness", it failed to live up to that promise.
In the whole 76 mins, the narrator was very authoritative in her delivery, but was not able to provide a single verifiable evidence that supported her claims. Instead, she was excessively dependent on the anecdotal accounts of other people. It's a bit suspicious that none of these abductees/intercosmos voyagers thought: "Wait a minute, people will be skeptical of my claim, so to strengthen it, let me pocket one small alien device that is unlikely to have been created by an earthly human."? I find that all too convenient! If there's anything I've learned in my short existence, it is that humans are capable of fantastic imaginings; and someone claiming something to be true doesn't make it so.
In addition, all the aliens were inexplicably anthropomorphic, what with their humanoid fingers and feet, sometimes, being even capable of communicating with humans directly; and making suspiciously earthly remarks that could only make sense if it were said by an earthly human. I guess such a scenario is not entirely inconceivable, but it is just too coincidental that the universe is without reason, anthropocentric!
Then the bit that really got me wondering was when one of the voyagers claimed he saw the whole universe on support rods, and it had stopped growing...hmmm okay...I dunno, but sounds very much unlike the universe I know. Again, it is conceivable that this may happen in some distant future, but it's just too speculative at the moment to accord any sort of consideration. A static universe, as far as the current laws of physics are concerned, is the most unlikely outcome of all the possible ends to our universe.
To be honest, I've been disappointed by the misuse of the word "evidence", and the promoters of this material really should take that old admonition, "never promise too much", very seriously. However, it's not all disappointment! This material was not at all lacking in the creativity department. Stories like those that featured, particularly the intercosmos voyager one, if properly executed, can definitely become a Hollywood blockbuster worth paying for. I mostly agree. I posted it for you because of your remarks a long time ago regarding what astonishing possibilities may be... such as our universe even being a mere atom or cell in the body of another being. I liked that thought because it is one i have had and generally speaking the idea that we live in a simulated universe is one i strongly relate to. Having said that, i agree, the evidence is unremarkable. |
