agboliver: Guys I have submited my application on the 9th September, and on the 24th I have received a mail stating that my passport is ready as the last starting date of my course is the 30th September . I taught that the Visa application process used to take a minimum of 15 working days and maximum 20 and sometime more. I wonder that my own takes just 11 working days may because that they have noticed that the 30th is my last starting day and they just give me my visa to be on time . GUYS I need your prayer . I have applied in Ghana , and right now I'm in Benin on my way to check out .The timing is quite normal (not minimum of 15 but within 15 working days) and of course your Course Start Date may have been considered too. I pray you get good news. By the way, did your tracking status say "Processed Application..." or "Processed Passport..."? |
classyjummy: Yes they initially resumed on the 23rd of sept gave me an extension till 14th because of the 28days money stuff that's why so that's y am applyin on d 30thYou stand a risk of refusal. You will have only 9 days for your visa to be processed and nobody can guarantee that time is enough during a period like this (July - January). Abuja is only 1 day fast and that is when your application doesn't suffer delay during verification. All the best in your decision and endeavours. |
paradisewoods: @don oms or @justwise or anybody : please is there any other way you can confirm you have been granted visa , than picking up and checking urself ? Because my application is ready for pick up but I am very far from lagos , I am doing my nysc @ sokoto. Thanks for ur anticipated positive reply .There is no way of knowing except you open the package. |
philni055: Hi nairalanders, when you get to d UK get yourself registered with d NHS and get a nhs no because you are entitled to free health care. Thanks a lot for the info bro. I actually never knew they could give NHS no to Tier-4 Students but I know of the Insurance number. I should be in Newcastle next week by God's grace. I'll PM you when I settle there. |
Jen1: Pls guys who has a number for the vfs people in lag, my appointment is for today but I was unable to print the appointment page. Should I just go there? Will they attend to me?They don't allow people inside without an appointment. You should have posted yesterday so there may have been a solution for you. In my opinion, re-book for tomorrow. But here's the number you asked for anyway: VFS IKEJA Enquiry Number: +2347042848040 |
julius98: Who provides prove of fund that wil satify d tution and maintaining allowance in Uk as specify in visa requirement? The VISA applicant, any of his/her parents or a legal guardian with proof of adoption. |
abbakacici: university of hertfordshire , from other student that are already there they told me 7th OctoberI believe you have nothing to worry about then. But since it won't cost you anything, send an e-mail to your school asking them to confirm for you. |
agboliver: An international cheque is a cheque from a bank based in UK as my bank here has an current account in that bank. it's like a traveller cheque the amount is already in pound and the cheque is in my name . Don Oms: I'll confirm if it's a good proof of finance.I have checked for you and I will say to my understanding of the Tier-4 Migrant Guidance, I'm afraid there is no substantial evidence the cheque is acceptable. If there had been a letter from the bank accompanying the cheque detailing the closing balance of the account and explaining the money is held for a minimum of 28 days (not ending more than 31 days from the day of application), then it would have been outrightly acceptable. Did anyone advice you to use the check? For your reference, see page 33-35 of this document: www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/applicationforms/pbs/Tier4migrantguidance.pdf |
abbakacici: I have a question in my cas the latest date a student can be accepted into the course is empty , it only state course start 23 September 2013 and ends 30 September 2014, I summited my application 12 working days ago and my status has not change yet thus the earliest i can get my visa is Wednesday that is if am luck my status change tomorrowFiscalcliff is very correct. Your CAS is only a virtual document. The information tied to your CAS on the "database" usually have a Sponsor Note which carries additional detail you may not see on the CAS Statement you were given. You can ask your school in a mail to confirm. By the way, which school are you going to? |

agboliver: Hello here .....Guys I need your help... I've used an international cheque of 10925 £ to justify my finance and I also keep this amount for more than 28 days in my father account and use this to also justify my finance ...Explain "International Cheque?" And Does it support what the Tier-4 Policy guidance states under the Fee Section? |
agboliver: Hello everyone , I'm new here and I need some help for my visa. I have applied for my tier4 visa on the 09th September 2013 and the last starting date is the 30th sepetember .In my opinion, no one can categorically answer that question except God. Here's the reason: having applied on the 09th, there's a 90% chance u should get ur visa before 27th (from recent trends) if your application doesn't suffer any verification delays. So let's assume the ECO was to stamp it tomorrow, 24th, you'll most likely be given visa as they believe you'll make it to the UK before 30th. Let us assume you had verification delays and a decision was to be made on Friday, 27th, they MAY want to deny you since it's 95% unlikely you get the package before 30th ('cos of weekend). God forbid they're to make a decision after the 30th, it's automatic refusal. Having said all, if you believe in God, then pray a miracle happens this week. Above all, don't worry about it & be cheerful. All the best! PS: I'm hopeful your package should be ready by tomorrow though. Keep tracking it at intervals. |
JideVince: @Don oms, how far about your own visa? Any news yet? Thanks for asking bro. I had an issue with them which I didn't discuss here yet. But it's resolved and I'm expecting my package anytime next week. |
JideVince: thanks so much Don oms! I was able to active online banking, print the online statement, stamped and signed. My appointment was for 12 noon and I got the statement around 1.44pm, i went anyways. I got there around 2.20pm. Thankfully, i was able to submit my application today! GTBank na wah oh! Which kain wahala be that one self? I was just moving from one branch to another, until i got told it was a bankwide problem. You can print your statement online but cant print it from the bank? None of those constumer care guys was able to suggest the online statement to me. On a lighter mood, is it allowed for me to start tracking my application today? Haha! Day 1 UKBA release my visa abeg!Congrats to you bro. You will get your visa. GTB is very good but let's just consider your experience one of those rare occurrences. On a heavier mood, don't track your application until after 30th Sept. else you get anxious. |
abbakacici: is true most abuja appplicant get it in 10 to 11 days that why the anxiety is killing me because my friends that apply one day before me have all collect theirs on wed and yesterday and my status has not change yetLagos applicants get replies in 10-11 working days too (the difference from Abuja is usually 1 day to get one's package to Lagos.) As for your wait, anxiety won't get you your package faster so just be hopeful & tidy up all other things. The BHC might still be verifying some of your documents & that's why your status hasn't changed. |
JideVince: Gtb can't print my statement since yesterday. That's weird. Did you try another branch? GTB has a scheduled maintenance between 21-22Sept but that should not affect printing Bank Statement on the 19th. Go to any branch and request for Internet Banking Activation. They'll print out your UserID and Password for you. You can then login and generate your Bank Statement. On Monday, take it to any branch for attestation & have them stamp & sign it so you can still have your interview on the same day. All tthe best bro! |
I have been trying to read every single post on this thread until I got tired and decided to post something myself. The OP has made a good observation (I once asked myself the question anyway) and many posters have contributed meaningfully (and otherwise, I'm afraid). Apropos, I have this to say: The Holy Bible is a "perfect" summary of what was, what is now and what is to come. Hence, it couldn't tell in detail what information isn't relevant to the cause it supports. Like John said in John 21:25 "And there are also many things, whatever Jesus did, which, if they should be written singly, I suppose the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen." (MKJV) ...And that's just Jesus' account! Imagine an account of everything from inception. In other words, the Bible didn't mention where Cain got his wife neither did it mention ALL those who were born (and many other things) because those info weren't necessary in order to support the message of the Bible and the purpose of writing it. It is clearly written & said by God that Adam was the first man & then Eve followed. I'll advice we stop bothering ourselves on unimportant "unquoted" details in the Biblical history and embrace the basic message it preaches: LOVE, RIGHTEOUSNESS, PEACE and GOD's WILL. Thank You. |
marcdeco: Hi justwise: if the one online contains all the standard info of bank statement then use it else print from your bank branch OmoB93: Hi, I think the statement is supposed to carry the stamp of the bank. Whichever way to be on the safer side, i think you should just print it at the bank. All the best. You have your answers above. If the statement has all the required info as Justwise said, use it. BUT PLEASE, take it to your bank for Stamp & Signature as OmoB93 has said. It will save you a "possible refusal." |
pappi009: Applying less than a month is not a bad idea as many applications are issued within 15-working days (3 weeks). The BHC will know your latest start date but print off the mail about the extension and include in your application. You shouldn't need a new CAS (Cranfield will update it with the BHC---but confirm from them), just mail your school to send you receipts on time. All the best. |
moufpeas: All thanks 2 Jesus, I got my visa today!!!!!! After 19 working days , tho the visa was actually issued on the 16th working day, also thnks 2justwise, Don oms and all dt helped u guys are amazing!!...God bless y'all....@ marc@cortech see u soon. In abeerdeen....I'm sup excited ..... A drim of 8 yrs has finally come tru..All glory to God. Congratulations! Have a safe trip to Aberdeen. |
anyibaba50: Guys just picked-up my visa today! There are two things I want to tell you guys about. One is about the guy that was refused visa because the ECO concluded that his money was only available for 21days because he saw transactions from 31st July. I meet a guy today at the VAC who was refused visa because he didn't include a bank statement eventhough he did. The guy applied for an administrative review and he said today was tHe fifth day and guess what, he received his visa. I feel that if this boy got his visa after five days of administrative review, that other guy that was refused should apply immediately.Congrats about your visa. I have never heard that Admin Review thing taking a short time like that o. Did the guy apply via e-mail or by hand @ the Abuja office? Strange things happen though. And as for your flight, well, this is Nigeria. |
moufpeas: Wow thnk u!....I jst gt msg from dem dt ready for collection....nervous tho...lolCool. I pray you're granted visa. Stay bold! |
lalla89: what I want know is that how much are you going to paid to a school before the issue your CAS ,is it a full one year tuiton or part of it.if it is part please hw much is the minimum ammount to paidSome schools don't ask for money (e.g. Cranfield Uni.) And some ask for as low as £1000 (Sheffield Hallam) and some anything between £1000 and £5000. But the truth is, whatever amount you're paying as deposit, you have to show UKBA you have the rest before they give you visa. |
Although I'm seeing this way too late (after the child is 2yrs +) but I couldn't help but comment after reading all the comments (who knows who'll read my comment later and be educated). I'm proudly lefty, highly intelligent (to God's glory) and very artistic though I'm a brilliant Engineer. The only time I ever repeated a class was in Nursery 1 or so. You guessed right; it was the year my teacher forced me to use right and my life almost crumbled. I wrote my letters facing opposite sides & I lost my self esteem. Thank God I was left with my left after repeating a class. Trust me, Lefties are a blessing. |
princesa: All this poets that dnt want this thread to hibernate for good, are we having an after party or what?Well, you could ask that again. I stumbled upon here again & I realised some poets are still "freestyling." kennikazi: nna eh...biko help me and ask them well o!How about you now Kennikazi? You too sha post something now. *smiles* |
onerno@yahoo.co:If the money has been in the account (Savings or Current) for six months without ever dropping below what is required in the last 28 days you'll be printing the statement, then you can use the statement without counting all over. But note, there should be transaction(s) within the said period b'cos it is risky to submit a statement with blank transaction(s). |
enoch77: Thankz so much for the respond but not student visa am applying for now. ... I just want to visit my uncle in the uk for the preparation of my masters in the uk next year .. I submited my school docuument such as addmision letter , recommendation letter from my H.O.D , school fees receipt up to date , transcript of my results and so on with the document of my uncle in the uk and document of my cousin here in Nigeria sponsoring the trip ... But the decision stated as above in my previous post .. Plz the question is should I send back to them the photocopies of the documents or I should re apply and what is my chances of getting the visa ... PlzAs you must have noticed, this thread is strictly for Tier-4 Student Visa & only few people like Justwise know more outside the purpose of this thread. But to answer you, there is a high chance of another refusal if you use the same documents. You must confirm from credible sources that the documents are not photocopies before you can attempt using them for another application. |
lalla89: NO I have about £10000 in my saving so if remove £5800 out of the money the remaining will not be enough for me as maintenance fee to apply for my visa. But if it is £2000 abt £8000 will reamin in my account and is enough for me as maintenance fee to apply for my visa.that is why I need a college or uni that will accept the deposit of £2000. Hope u will help oga justwiseIf you are applying for a Tier-4 Student Visa, you must show proof of having Your Tuition Fees (in full) and maintenance fees so what you're saying about deposit doesn't matter at all. |
holyboy.com:All thanks to God. Don't worry about the network issue, as long as you were able to repeat yourself and she noted what you said, nothing to worry about. They know network failures happen. |
enoch77: Plz nairalanders ... I got my refuser letter last week and the decision stated that .... You have provided your uncles and cousin emploment document , bank statement , tenancy agreemnt and wage slips to demonstrate maintenance , however I note that these are all photocopies . ... And to my best of knowlegde I submited original document .. Plz roomies what step can I take plz .Sorry to hear about your refusal. 1) What VISA category did you apply for? 2) Are you certain the documents are original and have asked your uncle & Cousin? To answer you in part, if you have applied for a Tier-4 Student Visa, applying for an Administrative Review may be time consuming & thus affect your plans. Re-applying may be your best bet. Now note: 3) When is your school resuming (or the latest start date)? 4) If you must re-apply, like Autolord said, you must get the required money in your account. |
moufpeas: Congrats oo ....still waitin 4 my own message o.... my status has bn sayin processed passport in transit to uk visa app centre since fri morning and it still hasn't changed...does it take this long ni?From experience, your status should change by evening. Start preparing for collection tomorrow. |
Autolord: yes sir the date of last transactionIf your Bank Statement shows "Print Date" clearly as 2nd Sept, you have nothing to worry about. If the statement doesn't show the print date, then I really can't tell the fate of the application. But either way, you have applied already so just be optimistic and don't panic. |
