Mrfeel:Lol! You said: "where we will have full control over our household and we won't have to bring our report card to the head of another household" and it saddens me. Ojukwu fought for this and now he is dead and gone. Ralph Uwazuruike commenced again with MASSOB and now Nnamdi Kanu woke one morning with the IPOB dream and you all Easterners cannot wake up to see that you are just changing names and changing crusaders without actually getting something substantive done. Nigeria is filled with loopholes. Loaded with lapses. Its security infrastructure is practically nonsense and any well coordinated strike on this country could easily bring it to its knees but despite all this opportunities the East has refused to rise up to the challenge, come together as a people (both rich and poor) and make slow, silent and steady progress that will stun the FG, the Northerners and the South Westerners. I was in Abia state for sometime and within the short time I spent there I could see a lot of resources lying unused and untapped. From large expanse of arable land to sparse population densities which makes the East the perfect location for an agricultural and processing hub capable of ousting the middle belt in food production. Bulk of our rain forests are in the South East, just imagine the potential for ranching. Instead of having the dreaded Fulani bringing their cows to the East and causing mayhem the East could have its own designated locations for ranching and hence supplying meat to the relatively more populated South West. What about the ignored natural resources? Coal erupts from the ground by itself in Enugu. It has been ignored by the FG but it can be exploited as a means of power generation on a large scale, afterall bulk of South Africa's electricity generation is from coal. Dude I can go on and on about how I am baffled that all that IPOB does is shout, rant and make a lot of noise when as an institution it can strategize and plan a secret take over of the East. You spoke of UN using force, which force, whose force...mehn I taya for you ohhh! Na OBJ just relinquish that location but in fairness it was based on a deal reached between Nigeria and Cameroon and the deal had to be respected but as for UN, they cannot do more than a dead rat! UN can never help the East break out of Nigeria, I repeat, never! The FG will never let the East go until the East comes to the negotiating table with power and how will the East amass this power, it is by galvanizing the different ranks of the Ndigbos into a single formation, pursuing community development by the community and investing in human capital formation. Will the FG arrest a full community for coming out to repair their roads by themselves? Will the FG arrest a full community for building special schools where Ndigbos only can obtain cutting edge education in STEM disciplines? Will FG arrest the full Igboland if they were to engage in peaceful development of their land...Or more accurately: Can the FG do all these? The East is a beautiful land filled with typical Nigerians, who do not care about their neighbors but themselves...all those shouting IPOB will keep quiet if FG fills up their bank accounts with dollars! And this is why the Biafra dream of the great Ojukwu cannot be accomplished! |
Mrfeel: ...seems to me that you are the mad man...now it is FG, northerners and south westerners suppressing your region! Are the FG, northerners and south westerners also responsible for selecting your governors? Are they also responsible for the influx of wealthy easterners into the north and south west? Are they also responsible for drug wars happening in igboland and elsewhere fueled by ndigbos themselves? You just took insanity to a whole new level dude...The last time I checked, the US was developed by Americans, the UK was developed by the Brits but you want the Fulani dominated government as well as the South Westerners to come to your land make it a paradise. Just imagine! You sound like the head of a house, asking for another man to feed his household and you have forgotten that with responsibility comes power and whoever feeds the home has the power of a household head over that home...Look at you all bringing in UN into your matter. Like the UN can do anything to help you all at all. No be the same UN declare say weapons of mass destruction no dey Iraq yet Bush launched a war against Iraq contrary to the dictates of the UN...na the same UN una dey wait for. Just imagine how inept you and your Nnamdi Kanu is. Ojukwu's dream of Biafra has perished with him because the people he fought for are busy raking in billions either as politicians or as developers of other regions! |
Mrfeel:Shipping radio transmitters? To turn the full East into a radio station or what! Fools will always give excuse for their foolishness and that is why they remain in foolishness till they die! So to mobilize people to carry red earth from locations where it is excess to fill up pot holes requires FG intervention right? See your Aba market, many millionaires even billionaires make money from there but for them to combine their resources to ensure the roads are fixed is a problem yet they can sing "Biafra" all day like a canary! See as you just exposed your foolishness for the world to see. If you had remained silent the world would have thought you smart...You all keep shouting Biafra Biafra Biafra but you don't want to do anything meaningful with the resources right there on your land. Resources are starring at you all in the face and you waiting for FG who doesn't live or inhabit your region to come and be a good Samaritan. See your governors, are they not people selected from the same society as you? What have they done to move the East forward in the spirit of what Ojukwu fought for? What? Ask all them they will extol the virtues of Ojukwu but none of them are working together to ensure that the East is liberated from Nigeria and instead of directing your grievances at the fellow Ndigbo leaders who are receiving statutory allocation every month from the FG you are howling and whining at the FG like a starving stray dog...keep howling you hear, it is likely your children will continue the howling from where you stopped...because the legacy you all are leaving behind for your children is the legacy of howling and shouting and ranting for nothing! |
Mrfeel:You and your Nnamdi Kanu cannot do more than a dead rat! Why do I say this. Because, even right now that there are resources in the land that can be pooled to bring about development yet these resources are not mobilized. Nnamdi Kanu has a good following in the East and If he charges Easterners who believes in the Biafra cause to start donating at least #1000 per month to the cause of Biafra by the end of 5 years the Biafra fund would have been to the tune of millions if not billions of naira. If Nnamdi Kanu takes the bull by the horn and starts effecting developments that governors and FG have failed to carry out with the Biafra fund I tell you the FG and governors will sit up and if Nnamdi Kanu is able to set out and actualize a plan to install infrastructure in the East with the instrumentality of those loyal to Biafra by now the FG and governors would have invited him for dialog...but what he knows how to do is rant, rant and rant and organize the attack of Nigerian public servants abroad! Biafra can never be achieved because those who regard themselves are Biafrans do not care about Biafra at all they only care about themselves! |
Mrfeel:It is easy to dump blames on Federal Government but you fail to see the role that the eastern leaders play. You have had governors since 1999, what have they done? Look at the east appearing like they got independence in the 2000s. If your governors have done what is right and the Easterners had placed effectiveness above sentiment the laudable strides of the governors would have drawn the attention of the FG to bring more infrastructure to the east...but when what the East does often is rant, rant, rant and rant why will any non-eastern dominated FG direct resources to the East? The day the Easterners start thinking as one, they focus their resources in developing their land and people and they make the East a force to reckon with that is the day that East will be recognized by a non-eastern FG! |
mamaafrik:As far as I am concerned your comment is highly sensible...but senseless morons will not listen to you instead they will keep ranting about how Fulanis are their problem but they will never see how they themselves are the source of their own problems! They refer to Nigeria as a zoo but they are basest of animals. They scream Biafra from the rooftops but none of them is doing anything to actualize the dream of Biafra which was, is and will always be a pipe dream! |
Aba will keep sleeping because its people never want it awoken...imagine a people waiting on others to come to their rescue when they have the resources to help themselves. Biafrans have always been the worst enemy of Biafra. |
Lol! Never has stupidity been so enormous...so a person's IQ is now in his beard! ...I used to think this country still has hope but when I read posts like this I realize that our cases is beyond critical. When people are cracking mind blowing crypts, pushing the boundaries of nanophysics, unearthing new applications of deep learning, designing systems several generations ahead of time...we are here contemplating the relevance of beards... ! |
...but individuals who attend your church and have private jets will make heaven, right? Like you are the gateman at heaven, ba? Are you even sure you will make that heaven? Instead of praying for your partners in the vineyard that they should not fall you come out to spout trash! Where did Joseph of Arimathea see the money to buy expensive perfumes for the preservation of Christ's body as well as the acquisition of a new tomb? So the GOD that blessed Solomon is insane wealth must be satan, right? Your likes would have echoed Judas when he said the bottle of spikenard that a lady wasted on Jesus could have been given to the poor yet he cares less about the poor...Let the owner of heaven decide who goes in and who does not, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling and if you care at all about your fellows, pray for them...use your mouth more profitably! |
GoTV:Dude your madness cannot be cured anywhere on the face of this earth...the specialists you need are probably in planet pluto...Those who traffic drugs to Saudi Arabia and get caught are all Christians right? Arabs that are slaughtered by the day in Saudi Arabia in the name of Sharia are Christians ba? So all the persons that are victims of the attacks in Nigeria are all drug peddlers and criminals, right? So the shops and businesses that were burnt were shops and businesses where illegal drugs were stashed, right? So it is okay to kill a criminal rather than reporting them to the authorities and having them deported, right? So it is okay to make revenue from VISA processing for foreigners and yet kill them for committing crime extra-judicially, right? Can you answer these questions? Oh, sorry I forgot, you are insane and need help but unfortunately you cannot get help anywhere on earth as I type! Sorry ehn, sorry! |
...now some will attribute this to poverty but they will forget that there are people who are out there eking out a living from whatever honest hard work they lay their hands on...but here we see people who just want to be rich without working! |
Kenturkey048:Oh! You are now a saint who didn't spell out points with insults...Buhari is clearly not a success and no one can easily deny that but telling me GEJ would have been better is an insult that I cannot bear. Nigeria has never had leadership as far as I am concerned and let no one tell me GEJ is anything close to a leader! |
Kenturkey048:More accurately I said a lot of things but you were too daft to make any sense of it...We are talking of a president who was of course "lucky" to have oil prices as high as an average of $100 per barrel throughout his stay in office but succeeded in handing over a dying Nigeria to next president. Nigerians like you are a curse to Nigeria because you are so blinded by dumb sentiments that you will never see what is right there in front you...Ask your disingenuous self this question, "if GEJ was an outstanding president who accomplished a great deal for the country, how on earth did he not get a landslide victory over Buhari in the 2015 elections as he did in the 2011 elections...huunnn?" But your mumuism is so great you will not be able to answer that question...GEJ was so much a failure that Nigerians did not mind lending the APC a helping hand in rigging the ineffectual buffoon out of power! Your likes call Buhari a lifeless dullard from Daura yet Nigerians favored this lifeless dullard over your outstanding GEJ. Now tell me, what does this say about GEJ...He is far worse than an ineffectual buffoon. His tomfoolery ought to be recorded in the annals of history just so we have a reference point anytime there is the need to gauge levels of mind boggling stupidity...and from the looks of things it appears you are measuring up to GEJ's standard! |
blacknp:The yardstick I use in labeling Muhammadu Buhari a failure is the condition of the lower class, the poor and the extreme poor. Buhari excels above GEJ in one important feature which is that he is not a stooge who will sit somewhere drinking ogogoro whilst looters loot the country expressly...but my grouse with Buhari is he is not proactive, nationalistic and aggressive with transforming this country. In the first year of office, he should have seriously purged the armed forces. He should ensured sweeping reforms in the security infrastructure of the country. He should have ensured that the police, army and all other armed forces embark on re-educational programs, raised their salaries, improved their access to better equipment and built a national database for all Nigerians with tracking details (social, economic and political status) embedded in new national ID cards which will be released to the public. In just one year, Buhari could have achieved this and I tell you this would have made Nigeria a relatively safer place for business, tourism, agriculture etc. But look at the Nigeria we have today. If you escape Kidnappers, you will also pray to escape robbers, you will also pray to escape ritualists, you will also pray to escape SARS, you will also pray not to fall into the hands of disgruntled soldiers...just imagine soldiers opening fire on members of the police force on a covert mission and claiming that it was an error. Even if for the sake of argument I accept this nonsense report as true it shows the lack of coordination and communication between the armed forces in Nigeria. Now tell me which investor will hear this on the news and still gladly come to Nigeria to invest? Buhari should also have realized that the main reason for unemployment in Nigeria is not necessarily the lack of jobs or the lack of investors but the poor levels of human capital in Nigeria. There are lots of graduates leaving universities yearly who are basically low skilled manpower. They are no where close to being classified as skilled or highly skilled labour yet according to manpower economics tertiary institutions are meant to breed high level manpower or highly skilled manpower. A lot of MSc graduates are just as useless as the certificate they carry about and this is because our tertiary institutions are such a monumental failure at breeding highly skilled graduates. If Buhari really wanted to provided a long term solution to the growth and development crisis of Nigeria he would have pursued very stringent reforms in the tertiary education sector. He would have pumped significant funding into education at the tertiary level whilst pursuing anti-corruption measures in those institutions as well. Tertiary institutions would have been given targets to meet in terms of manpower capacity generation and tertiary institutions that fall short would have been severely penalized. But what has Buhari done in the education sector? Next to nothing, if not nothing. Buhari recognizes that agriculture and transportation of agricultural items are the lifeblood of the country and that it is the source of our food security, a vital tool for poverty alleviation and a means of raising the standard of living of Nigerians. But Buhari is not taking this sector seriously. In 3 years the government could have funded and pursued research and development as well as investment in this sector. If food security is guaranteed poverty becomes a thing of the past but we are still lagging behind in this regard. Arable land is lying fallow in the North, South South, South East and South West and yet we are making billions of dollars from crude oil...what is Buhari really doing? If Buhari can come up with solutions to insecurity, human capital deficit and agriculture on an industrial scale, I tell you Nigeria would have been set on a trajectory of accelerated growth and development...but we are yet to see this happen. Buhari at one point seemed to be a better replacement for GEJ but by my evaluation today he has not lived up to my expectations at all. |
As far as I am concerned Nigeria has never had leadership. It has only had people pursuing sectional interests and not national interests...From Aguiyi Ironsi down to Muhammadu Buhari with the exception of Gen Murtala Muhammed, all were just pursuing narrow interests. When a leader comes on board the country will realize it within 6 months of power...anyone comparing GEJ with PMB are just fools with destructive sentiments! Both GEJ and PMB are failures and the evidence we have for this is the condition of the lower class under these two! |
...story...asking the government to implement all this is like asking a thief to setup a system for nabbing thieves...sheer foolishness! Keep up with the "revolution now" and be canon fodder for the Nigerian armed forces ![]() |
LLMG:You are not addressing the question! The question is why is this so called Revolution coming now and not anytime in the past when it was highly needed? |
Antoeni:Guy you are blessed...a lot are just shouting revolution like the rants and noise making their making can do anything tangible...when the ugliness in the country was favorable to them they will go silent and claim that Nigeria will eventually get better but when the ugliness no longer favors them they will rally together all manner mindless idiotic sacrificial lambs in the name of revolution...Sowore will live to see tomorrow but many of these ranting revolution will be wasted for nothing! |
obajiluke:Lol! Dude, you are talking of what the government is doing with your taxes? Are you not aware that governments tend to use resources for interests that are often not national interests? If you were an Economists I will refer you to the flypaper effect theory which proves this point and guess what, this effect was not discovered in developing countries but in advanced economies... We have had governments since 1960 tell me what they have achieved? Countries are built by people. The government is made up of people and so are other institutions. If a group of people who make up the government decide not to do something meaningful towards addressing the ills of the society shouldn't you and I and other concerned citizens band together, combine ideas and find a way out? Isn't this the best form of revolution? Doesn't this render us completely independent of the government? Doesn't this reduce the draconian powers of the government granted to them as a result of our over-dependence on the government? Dude you can protest all you want. The president has given charge to all armed forces and I am sure you know that the armed forces are not armed with sticks, stones and rants. I hope you know they are armed with rifles, bullets, bombs, tanks, jets, warships and other terrible names that don't sound nice and you are also aware of how agile the armed forces are when it comes to flexing their muscles against civilians who cannot match them fire for fire...Only a fool will realize all this and still claim that the best form of revolution will be to jump into the streets and start shouting revolution! In the battle between the waves and the rocks, the waves will always win... We can undermine the government without losing a single life. We can bring the government to its knees without allowing the armed forces fire a single shot. We can make the government realize the power of a people united in a common cause...people committed to building the nation with their very own hands If as a people we kill this every man for himself ideal, if as a people we destroy our individualism and embrace our age old communal way of living, If as a people, both the rich and poor, begin to play our role towards building our communities as our forefathers did before the colonialist divide us to rule us...we can build the country, without the help of a government! Any alternative to this will result in unnecessary bloodletting...remember Libya, Egypt, Sudan etc these countries are no longer on the relatively peaceful trajectory there were once on. We need to be careful that our so called revolution does not revolve about perpetual anarchy! |
Organized revolutions do not start like this...this form of revolution will only result in violence, loss of life and in the end the same forces responsible for the terrible state of the country before the revolution will remain untouched...Anyone who really wants to start a revolution must find a way of unifying Nigerians. As it stands, I can guess that more than 80% of Nigerians, who make up the lower and some of the middle class, are divided along ethnic and religious lines and this division can and will always be a tool that the elite will use to break any revolution. The revolution must start with a re-orientation of the minds of Nigerians. Individualism must be replaced with nationalistic communalism and Nigerians must govern themselves by playing an active role in addressing the issues in the country without the help of the government. A good example is the case of power supply! If a community bands together, contributes a sum of money every month for the next five years, recruit sound Nigerian trained engineers who are more interested in solving a problem that becoming an instant billionaire, the community can supply itself with power without the help of the government. This singular act will make the government realize their increasing uselessness and their impending doom. Not all revolutions should lead to the loss of the lives of the innocent...and revolutions are as successful as the minds that started them! |
These goats that call themselves lecturers will be the first to complain that they are underpaid and they will be the same to make your stay in the university hellish. |
asuustrike1:No! I was invited for a tea party!!! ![]() |
elijahkayode:Bro it is this same Obasanjo that set Nigeria on this path of doom. It is this same Obasanjo that insitutionalized corruption as we see it today. This same Obasanjo introduced "Do or die" politics. This same Obasanjo set the foundation for rigging...A YORUBAXIT with Obasanjo involved is an exercise in futility. Bro these YORUBA elders dont give a damn about the poor YORUBAS. If you do not know, know now, that your problem is not Fulani herdsmen, it is the elite, some of whom are Yorubas, who are part of the sponsors of these same herdsmen...I tell you even if YORUBAs pullout of Nigeria the teeming poor among the YORUBAs will still remain poor whilst the YORUBA elite share the commonwealth of YORUBA land among themselves...You had better not let anyone put the blindfold of ethnicity or religion before your eyes! This is not an ethnic war and neither is it a religious war...it is a war of ECONOMIC AND POLITICAL INTERESTS... |
elijahkayode:Great! I love your response. You did not just start ranting about me being a skeptic but you actually put forward an idea. Now let's look at this YORUBAXIT thing. We still remember the old western riots, or at least some of us read about it. The Ife-Modakeke crisis should still be fresh in our memory. The discovery of torture and ritual camps in Ibadan and Ikorodu are also very fresh in our minds. The tyranny of overlords like Bola Tinubu etc is apparent before our very eyes. The complicity of Western Universities who have considered education to be a means of making money and not a machinery for breeding minds that will transform Yoruba land for the common good of the Yorubas...Now I am not just reeling our challenges, I am informing you, albeit, indirectly that a vast section of Yorubas do not really believe in your so called YORUBAXIT. Now this is my argument. The Yorubas like any other ethnic group is split into three broad groups: the elite, the middle class and the inconsequential. The elite became the elite with the current socio-economic and political structure and so they would not be in support of a revolution that could tip the scales unfavorably. They remember the Biafra war and how it completely changed the equations of economic power and they would be very wary of anything to bring about a repeat. And oh guess what, they have to power to start or end practically anything in Nigeria - including this so called revolution. The middle class hold the hope for a revolution but as many as the middle class is, how many of them will be in on this YORUBAXIT? The middle class is also scared of anything that would disrupt the current order in a manner that is unfavorable to them. If YORUBAXIT will grant full support to labour and possibly ensure the entronement of a labour party then the middle class can join in the revolution, else some of us prefer driving around our fairly used Toyota Camry than enter a revolution that could result in job losses, no more flexing and no more prospects of a suitable standard of living. The middle class has their welfare to lose and unless YORUBAXIT guarantees their welfare in the aftermath of a revolution forget the cooperation of the middle class. The inconsequentials on the other hand have nothing to lose because their very life is characterized with loss on a daily basis. Most of them have lost their humanity, lost hope for a brighter future and will clutch to anything to survive. These are the real resources for a revolution. Unfortunately these folks have a price. They can be bought. The elite and the middle class know this and exploit it. This is evident in work places where people slave away in the name of work and get paid just enough to meet their subsistence and not enough to save and invest thereby rendering them completely dependent, perpetually, on the so called job. Anyone who rallies the inconsequential for a revolution must have seriously tinkered with their mind to ensure they are never bought and that their minds are set on dying for the sake of the revolution. In the end, we are in a vicious cycle sustained by the elite and the middle class who would rather sustain their standard of living than face the risk of losing everything in the name of a revolution. The Biafra war war has taught us all a bitter lesson. Nevertheless there is hope for a silent and stealthy revolution...This revolution can only started by committed people in the middle class or elite and it is anchored on the following: 1. Restoration of communal systems whilst destroying individualism (which is so rampant in Nigeria - every man for himself culture) 2. Establishing and funding educational systems that develop ethnic consciousness in the case of a YORUBAXIT or national consciousness in the case of a nation-wide revolution 3. The silent and gradual establishment of a rival government that anchors its legitimacy on the needs and particpation of the target citizens. The revolution we seek is the type that will secretly and gradually undermine the powers of the elite who are bent on perpetuating the current socio-economic and political order for their own sadistic and malevolent objectives. Anything short of this idea will always meet a brick wall. ...and this idea is my main pursuit... |
I don't see how this will start any revolution. An idea that cannot be bought supported by a large proportion of the people is a revolution...What idea is Sowore propagating and how does it appeal to the collective sensibilities of the teeming poor in Nigeria? If Sowore does have an idea, what is the price of this idea? If Sowore's idea does have a price how affordable is it? These are the questions that need to be answered before he and his crew can conclude that they have commenced a revolution. Painting walls never starts a revolution just as pasting posters does not imply that you will win an election... |
Revolution! ...No na Television... Those leading the so called Revolution will bow when they see dollars! How many of these so called Revolutionary goons will not do "an about turn" at the sight of $1,000,000! As long we have citizens who are continuously being taught that it is better to get rich via any means necessary than to be a good person, Nigeria can never rise... |

This is why i love Islam even though I'm a born again Christian. Muslims are respected worldwide while we Christians are subjected to xenophobic attacks due to our preference for crimes and drug trafficking. We really need to change our ways as Christians if we want the world to take us serious like our Muslim counterparts
