The bribe is usually paid to the leader of that country who then appoints the buyer as an ambassador or a diplomat. The buyer is subsequently issued with a diplomatic passport which gives him or her immunity from prosecution based on the Vienna Convention of 1961 .
According to the news agency , shortly before Diezani left office , there were already reports that she had allegedly stolen billions of dollars .
Worried that the incoming President Muhammadu Buhari ’ s administration might probe her , the former minister allegedly fled to London and obtained a diplomatic passport from the Prime Minister of Dominican Republic himself .
The report stated , “ In London , she ( Diezani ) is personally handed a Dominican diplomatic passport by Prime Minister Skerrit ; a passport which could shield her from criminal charges . We found documents showing a few days later that a shell company is formed in Delaware , an American state where laws mean the true owners of a company are kept secret .
“ Four months later , that shell company buys a New York apartment for $ 2 . 2 m with no mortgage . Property records confirm that the prime minister ’ s wife , Melissa, was a resident . Photos placed the Skerrit family there. Both Diezani and Skerrit deny any links to the company that bought the apartment .
“ Skerrit said the family resided there due to a kind gesture by an unnamed friend of his wife . He strongly denies any wrongdoing and says he didn ’ t demand or receive any money from Madueke . ”
The 53 - minute documentary also shows how countries like St . Lucia , Antigua and Grenada all in the Caribbean carry out such “ diplomatic passport for cash ” scam.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission had in March lamented the slow pace at which the United Kingdom was handling Diezani ’ s case .

Nairalanders I will like to go straight to my point in order not to waste your time. I'm married with children, my wife is the only child of her single mother, we used to have little issues since our wedding which I believe it's a natural thing in marriage and I have been managing them. My wife is not a wayward type which I've confirmed to some extent but a very stubborn one. Straight to the point now! last three weeks she traveled for an exam and I went to work that morning after 3 hours that she left,she called me to challenge me that I've not deem it fit to call her to know how she is doing and she dropped the call immediately she accused me, I picked my phone Immediately to apologise to her which decided not to pick my call till she came back. Since then she has started to behave arrogantly at home and I didn't want to report the issue to her mother. Familylanders, Please how do you deal with cousins who demand alot from you and then get angry when you can't meet up with their demands?
I have Some cousins who do this, Let's say they're not very comfortable, and they demand alot from me and I eventually give in to their demands because they're the only family I have in country, Reason I give in is because they Stop communication and get crossed at me, so I eventually do their bidding.

Note that I can't even remember when last they gave me something They're always on the recieving end.

Good morning guys, so there's an issue that has been bothering me for a week now.

it's about my younger sister's childhood friend. so, I came back from school last month after finishing my 2nd semester 300l exams.

And anytime, my friends sister visited our house, she'll sometimes sneak into my room to collect my phone which she claims shes uses for assignments (she's currently in S.S.2).

So last week, she came as usual to collect the phone. after giving her, she decided to stay back in the room while she makes research on her so-called assignments. while putting on earpiece ooo.

unknown to her, even though I was busy on my laptop, I could still hear some noise from the earpiece. I had to pause what I was doing to listen carefully and found out that this girl was actually watching porn in my holy phone oooo.

I got angry and collected my phone after which I sent her out of my room. even after that event, she still visits our house and still comes into my room but I've denied her my phone sha.

So, last week Sunday, after church service, I tried to my Buddy who was a pianist in our church to seek advice from him if I should report the girl to her parents or leave her alone.

I was quite shocked at his reply as he said I messed up that I should have taken advantage of the girl. I was like, the girl is 16 oooo. and i also told him that I don't engage in such stuffs (At 20, I've never hugged a girl before because of my low self esteem as my friends would call it) He also told Me that age is just a number that he have been strafing the junior pastor's daughter who was his girlfriend (17year old girl ooo and dude is 23) i didn't believe him at first not until he showed me the nude pictures of the girl.

I have a tenant that have not paid rent since two years and I have met with him on several occasion, the last time I met him, with an elderly man who happens to be an Chairman of agent in the area, as regards him leaving because my mum will be moving into the apartment, he said, "I do not have any plans of leaving, that I can ask other tenants". I was mad, I wanted to react because of the old man with me, I had to calm down.

I was asked to got the nearest police station to meet with human rights, I have done that and the officer I met told me, that human rights can only handle marital issue perfectly, that my own case is a civil case, I was about leaving when one of the female officers told me, what I wanted and I told her, she said, "I can dispatch some officers to you to go with you to meet him and ask him when he would be leaving, bu na small change".

The other option is to go to Agege and report him and they will invite him for talks and ask when he will leave, now, I do not have 400k to pay another rent for my Mum current apartment which expires by December, 2018.

These options will take time even in court, because he has become a statutory tenant.

Last week Saturday I was reading when I got a call from a friend that he needs my account number because his account can’t take the sum of money he wants to receive from the person that wants to transfer for him I asked him how much he said 300K I said jokingly that he should go and get a better account and stop operation student accounts. So I sent him my account details and the person sending him money credited my account 50K I told him that I revived only 50K not 300K he said yes that the person has reached his limit for the day ..

I seen him his money later in the evening via Quickteller because the server was not good and I was left with only 22K that was in my account before ok good ..

Fast forward to yesterday Evening I tried checking my account my login in and I noticed my account has been restricted I was confused on what might have happened I thought it’s something simple that I’ll walk to the bank and perfect it .. then I decided to message the costumer care I was told I need to update my Bvn informations that I should dial a particular number and follow instructions I tried it but it’s not working .

I’m suppose to visit the bank today but I was busy

Just after my Pratical in school today I was sitting when my guy called me again that is there anything wrong with my account he said I should not go to the bank because the 50K transaction that was sent earlier was fraudulent I was like wtf but he dropped the call ..

I called him again his contact was not available so after sometimes he messaged me online telling me the guy that sent it used his brothers account and he told him that it’s not from his account that his own personal account has been locked too because he later revived money directly from him and that’s how he got to know ..

What i’m after is a solution now can I go to the bank and explain my self already or what can I do to make all this not to bounce on me because I know noting about it I’ve never received any fraudulent transactions before someone said I should take him along to the bank and just hand him over when anything happens all
I need is a solution right now me mad the guy went to same primary school and secondary so I know him very well and made me trust him with my account what can I do right now
