PoliticsRe: What Atiku Told Reno Omokri About Jobs by gabicon: 1:53pm On Oct 30, 2018
which candidate on the campaign trail won't say all these things? The bigger question is how do you intend to do it? APC and PDP are one party two platforms, they substitute each other let's look for alternatives else by 2022 we will come back to this same spot.

Then that negates everything, what is worth doing is worth doing fine, no more no less.

Everybody is tired of Buhari, pick your VP from SE and you have 99% SE & SS and 50% SW with you, get 50% North and you are good to go
SW should go for SP, they can push their agenda from there.
Whatever the case is SS & SE will always vote PDP SW&NC are swing zones that need landslide victory to win the election. NC candidate would have been the perfect VP candidate but a sole N ticket won't fly the next best thing is to get a SW VP that can swing atleast 60% votes and hope that NC will give similar result.

Your assumption that PDP can get 50% votes from SW might be a little bogus, all SW states are controlled by APC an addition of federal and state might plus lots of cash the chances are slim.
PoliticsRe: Atiku Considers Soludo, Adesina, Chike Obi, Peter Obi,Ekweremadu As Running Mate by gabicon: 11:59am On Oct 09, 2018
Getting a vp from the SE doesn't look politically sound, the SE always overwhelmingly vote for PDP so does the SS, the SW is a swing zone if I were Atiku I would get a VP that can swing the SW to PDP. Ordinaryly the best zone to pick a VP would have been NC but it's regarded as the north.

bross I know all there is to know in the Uk, I have lived here 18 years, I have worked in the private sector and public sector, SO when I am talking Im talking from vast knowledge and expirience. The watch word is Plan well, have an Entry strategy and exit strategy, dont get carried away by shiny things then u r good to go.\\this society works, and with every working society people thrive and progresss if U r ready to get down and dirty!
Sometimes most of you just come on here and talk about what u know next to nothing about,
for example
Insurance. What has that got to do with a person who just migrated to the Uk? what is he Insuring?
Utility Bills £200? where did U get that figure from plz? there are rooms going in SE London for £450 all bills inclussive even Internet.
Transport, £110 will get you amonthly pass from zone 1 to 3 for those taking the underground, but the Buses are way cheaper, now people ride bike to work or simply live near work .
when we say earn 2k it was after tax not B4 tax hence I said a person earning 2K means 30£k plus per year
Still on tax, It is a personal matter, we all have tax code, your circumstances determins your tax code, so its not a blanket %
You are talking about Council Tax, let me Educate you.You only Pay council tax when you rent a whole House or Flat, When you rent a Room you do not pay council Tax in lump sum, it is inclussive in ur rent.as we speak there are self contains going for £600 in SE18 and SE28 all Bils inclussive ,water, gas, electric,Council tax,TV licence and Internet.

Erme can I ask U a question ?
Do you know earning 2k in the UK means earning 30k plus per year ?
Do you know the Police and the Army earn less than that at entry point ?
Do U also know that a 2k job means you are middle class ?
Do you know that house rent in UK is £500-750 monthly? (A months rent in London is a year's rent in Nigeria)

Do you know that council taxes is £200-300?

Do you know that the tax on £2k is about 15%?

Utility bills £200

Insurance?

Transport?

Food?

Foreign countries are expensive to live in, my £2k analysis is best case senerio probably a bank job or ppi.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Is Going To London To Hustle Better Than An 80k Job In Nigeria? by gabicon: 8:10am On Sep 29, 2018
You need to be logical in making this decision, if you earn 80k in Nigeria I presume that the skills you have are rudimentary, we Nigeria is like every other country in the world low skill low pay. Lets look at it this way if you warn £2k in London, you probably won't be able to maintain a saving cos the cost of living is high, I have a number of folks trying to exist the system in UK but for how things are in Nigeria. Secondly consider the whole Brexit wahala, should the deal fall through all illegal and unproductive emigrats will face deportation. My advise is if you desire to relocate develop your skills here in Nigeria be accredited with international bodies then it will be the UK looking for you but I pretty much guess when you do that you won't want to leave Nigeria again.
PoliticsRe: Saraki: Why I Want To Be President - Rule Of Law, Fairness & Justice by gabicon: 3:10pm On Sep 10, 2018
Saraki a northern minority against pmb a core northern I smell defeat in the camp of PDP. Tambuwal or Atiku stand a better chance to challenge PMB.

PoliticsRe: Why Is It Always Difficult For Many State Governors To Pay Worker Salaries??? by gabicon: 11:36am On Sep 08, 2018
the number 1 priority of any government is to create prosperity for her citizens. The main reason the government can't meet up with its recurrent expenditure is the size of its budget. 9 trillion naira for almost 200 million people is a huge joke, that is 45k per person in a year lets ask ourselves what can 45 k do for a citizen in a year? I'm not exonerating financial irresponsibility on the part of the government but lets face it we wont go very far on a lean budget irrespective of how judicious it is spent.

Car TalkRe: Nigeria Signs MOU With Volkswagen For Manufacturing Of Vehicles In The Country by gabicon: 1:12pm On Sep 01, 2018
DWJOBScom:
I doubt too
I wish they succeeded and moved from assembling to actual manufacturing as it would've reduced the cost of cars in Nigeria. I was excited when it came as i wish for (fantasized) cost of brand new cars coming down and the cost of fixing their brands too reducing as stallion as dwelt with us with both sale and repairs
Any country without a steel industry will struggle with manufacturing, companies like Nissan have to import all parts of the cars they assemble, when we combine the cost of parts cost of shipping and cos of clearing, the overhead is already huge thereby making the price of the vehicle expensive.
Car TalkRe: Nigeria Signs MOU With Volkswagen For Manufacturing Of Vehicles In The Country by gabicon: 1:06pm On Sep 01, 2018
Well, mou's are good its the implementation that is the important thing. Truth be told Nigeria is not a market, how many people can afford to buy a new car in Nigeria? So if these companies begin operation who will buy the finished product? Government buying vehicles can't be considered as a serious market these companies need volume sales to break even.

The likes of IVM, coscharis, Peugeot, and Nissan are feeling the pressure of a weak market already, many of them depend on government agencies for survival.

Solution to this problem is increasing purchasing power of citizens.
Foreign AffairsRe: Califonia Hits $2.7T GDP And Overtakes Britain As Fifth Largest Economy by gabicon: 1:48pm On Aug 28, 2018
Enough of the compare my solution to agriculture challenge is to set up a company with the local government having 50% control the state 30% and federal 20%. Let $2billion be withdrawn from our savings and shared equally amon all the local governments of the federation but the local government won't be given the liquid cash, the cash should be used to purchase Morden farming equipments and shared to all local government offices of the company.

The purchase process will involve sending people from all local government for training on how to maintain the new equipments and the manufacturer setting up assembly plants in all geopolitical zones.

The company is tasked with the responsibility of leasing equipments to farmers at a cost and maintaining these equipments. If a state doesn't want to farm they can partner with other states by leasing their equipment and deciding on a payment deal.

This idea is to accommodate food multiplication only.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria’s Poverty Rate Calls For Worry by gabicon: 2:13pm On Aug 27, 2018
I wonder why some folks are pointing at PMB as a result of the present poverty, the man simply made a terrible situation worse. The situation has been terrible for a very long time. According to OPEC annual report,

from 1990 - 1998 we earned $119.8b from oil sale (13%)
from 1999 - 2009 we earned $401.4b from oil sale (40%)
from 2010 - 2014 we earned $381.9b from oil sale (38%)
from 2015 - till date we have earned $93.5b from oil sale (9%)

what have we done with all these monies? if you ask me the worst government we have ever had is the GEJ government, the reasons being that the government earned so much and has little to show for it.

According to the world bank as at 2003 we had 63.9 million people living below the poverty line, the number increased to 71 million in 2009, as of today we are in 87 million. poverty trajectory is steadily increasing year in year out from 1960 till date, one of the reasons is population growth if we haven't fixed the poverty issues of 100 people the problem becomes a lot harder to fix when we have 250 people.

a population is only a blessing when a majority of the population are productive, it becomes a curse when they are not. some say we should all go back to farming, but they seem to forget that the wealth of farming lies in using supporting technology (mechanization).

Solution to our problems are simple, restructure in the lines of economy, trade, security and infrastructure. we will be surprised that there is more wealth in the north than in the south.
PoliticsRe: Ayade To Turn Tinapa Into University by gabicon: 10:01pm On Aug 26, 2018
What has the purchasing power of indigenes have to do with tourism? The indigenes provide a service outsiders require and the outsiders pay for this service, that's the abc of tourism.

The idea of tinapa was to create a serene business environment combined with leasure, doing this only takes creative thinking.
PoliticsRe: Doyin Okupe: 'If Atiku Rules For A Day, Nigeria Won’t Recover For 10 Years' by gabicon: 9:26am On Aug 21, 2018
Lol, Saraki should rule Nigeria the same way he ruled Kwara state abi. Secondly we need leader's not ruler's, there is a distinct difference.
SportsRe: FIFA Doesn't Scare Us – Dalung by gabicon: 10:07am On Aug 20, 2018
Fifa is the world governing body of soccer, for any country to participate in the sport they have to sign up with FIFA and signing up with them means you are going to abide by their rules and regulations. This means that documents signed supercedes any other rule simply put with regards to soccer fifa laws supercedes the constitution of Nigeria.

I don't blame the minister, in a country where we don't honour contracts, statements like this is what we get, we assume that every rule is bendable.

If the government so wants Chris Giwa to become the NFF president, it should wait till the next election, the bigger fish to fry is that Fifa president considers Pinick to be a valuable ally so how do you go against the powers that be?

Government control of sports is one of the reasons we record very low growth in sports.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: 5 Reasons Why You Should Work For A Start-up by gabicon: 7:57am On Jul 28, 2018
Please evaluate the vision of the startup and the character of its leader befor joining one. Many startups don't have a well thought out plan, yes things on paper may look different in reality, the vision needs to accommodate these realities. Secondly if the leader is egocentric and not a people person that's a big problem cos a leader of a startup needs to ensure that members of the team love what they are doing and he provides enough inspiration for them to perform. Thirdly mutual respect some people carry the CEO title like they are gods showing little or no respect to employees, well the time will come when the leader will require sacrifice of his employees, its that time you reap what you have sown. If you have done well expect positve if you have done poorly expect the latter.

One skill everyone looking for a job needs to develop is the ability to read people.

You're free to call them Fayose's sponsored protesters but if you are at Ado, you will know that people are not happy at all.

Fayemi is greedy and desperate and I hate him for that reason.

Next year to me decides his fate and I'm sure he will only be there for months.
You call not sharing free money greedy? Or not sharing food stuffs greedy? The same Fayemi increased the states IGR to 1 billion naira monthly then Fayose comes and records no IGR.

If we are talking of greed Fayose should be the SI unit owing 5 months salary of civil servants, local government workers 6 months, pensioners 8 months, no gratuities since 2015. Ekiti deserves far better than Fayemi but as it is Fayemi is a better option than Eleka.

The likes of Saraki are working on thin ice, how do I mean if his alliance with the opposition works his profit will be huge, but if he leaves the APC and PMB wins that will be a political suicide. Trust Saraki he doesnt make a move until he is sure of his opponent's hand.
PoliticsRe: #EkitiDecides 2018: APC Wins Fayose’s Local Government by gabicon: 7:48am On Jul 15, 2018
Ekiti was in the bag for PDP if only they had a credible primary election, and uncle Ayo just paid workers. I guess uncle Ayo was just trying to cover up his tracks of colossal fund mismanagement, but he should have known that godfather Politics in Nigeria is dead ando buried.

This election has taught me that bread is stronger than idealogy. But sides of the divide behaved shamefully but come to think of it they both understood what the challenges were and capitalised on the wide spread poverty prevalence in the state.

Well uncle Ayo this is how it feels to use federal might to win an election landslide at least let's applaud the APC for not going that far. Let the blame games begin.

nathanjohn2808:
The past few weeks have been very busy for me, I have gotten invitations all over for various recruitment tests and Interviews. I scaled all down to the last stage but the final interview always doesn't favour me. There was this one I had even done medicals for and still got a reject after the final interview.
These are things I know about my job application.
My CV is definitely top notch because I get many invites.
I'm intelligent because I pass almost all recruitment test.
I sell myself also because I pass the HR almost always.
Just the final interviews hold me back.
Please what could be the problem?
Your challenge is networking and relationship building AKA connection. I remember speaking to 2 top hr directors in the UK and both of them told me that they got their jobs through recommendations.

it's evident that you are smart, I recommend that you attend Job fairs or even volunteer to work for free (short term) that way you will meet people that can recommend you when they see an opening.

The job market in Nigeria is very saturated every slightly advantage needs to be capitalised on.
