The rumors of war with Iran was merely a publicity stunt, wat was Trump's approval rating before the war stories? What is his approval rating after? Secondly the United States will never go to war with any country that is heavily nuclear active. If they could they would have toppled Kim of North Korea not to talk of Iran. |
I don't think changing service chiefs will change anything, we have been changing them since GEJ, that's over 9 years what has been the results? The insecurity in the southeast is an economic problem that was allowed to metamorphose. We can't use military tactics to solve economic problems. If we like we can spend $1billion every year the place will remain the same. Until the people of the southeast are empowered to defend themselves I'm Africa we have a long way to go. |
Livefreeordieha:Kind sir, as far as I'm concerned APC and PDP are six and half a dozen, That the election weren't transparent is no news, when have we ever held credible elections in Nigeria? Our elections have always been marred by sharp malpractices by both the opposition and ruling parties. It would be folly for us to demonize on party at the expense of another. Election malpractices are subjected to proof, our electroral law does accommodate electronic transmission of results, this has been clearly stated by the INEC chairman, hinging a victory on a server that most likely doesn't exist is a recipe for frustration. The PDP need to come up with a better argument. |
Livefreeordieha:First and foremost I suggest you learn some manners, you don't have to go out calling people names. State your view with facts, evidence is the only thing that has the potential to terminate argument. Secondly, the evidence (kindly read): https://punchng.com/2019-well-only-do-nationwide-electronic-collation-of-results-inec-boss/amp/ |
Kuntech:Interesting to know, if I may ask what network are the card readers on? Secondly if the results were transmitted online, what did we have to wait for results at collation centers? I mean it makes sense to just transmit it via the Internet, why stress people to travel to collation centers. |
tuniski:If I may ask, what is the mode of connection between the card readers and the servers when the card readers are in polling station? |
This server issue is becoming very annoying, first of all what exactly is a server? A server is a central computer that stores data imputed from several computers, the storage can be done via online, local area network or manual data inputs. That said, we do not vote electronically, are card readers are only meant to verify voters, after verification a pice of paper carrying all political parties is given to us to thumb print. The thumb printed paper is our vote. After every verified voters must have cast their votes, the votes are counted and party agents sign on the result sheet and the results are forwarded to collation centers. There is nowhere the results are imputed into the card readers along the process neither do are our card readers internet enabled so how on Earth does a server give results to the PDP? This case is dead on arrival, if the argument was that the number of accredited voters was less than the votes cast then there is a case. The only valid argument will be that INEC manually input the election result into their server, that will take some time to achieve. |
harrwix:The village people didn't do their research well even the presidents severance package is not up to 100m. |
Money hasn't changed anybody yet, money is just like a catalyst, it enhances the character equation. |
LasLas:First of all you need to understand that the principles of marriage are still the same over a century ago but the concept has changed. In today's world women are no longer dependent on men economically hence they no longer take the crap they did 20years ago. Women now exercise a more robust Sense of freedom. If you are looking for a wife that will do your every bidding, I must let you know that she doesn't not exist anymore, some may look like it in the beginning but they will eventually metamorphose. Mother's have told their daughters how unfulfilled they were in their marriages and the daughters are not willing to repeat that experience. Making a marriage work in this age will involve both parties clearly stating their requirements, both parties have needs and those needs have to be met and the modalities of how needs are to be met needs to be discussed. You can decide to show this lady the red card there is a high chance that the next one will be similar or worse, the once you should be careful of are the once that will pretend their way to marriage then they switch. The paradigm shift has occurred you just didn't get the memo. |
Racoon:And it is this new one that is legit abi? |
daroz:Africans are not cursed, we just have a mentality that the supernatural has to always do what we ought to do for ourselves. The civilised world was not built on supernatural foundation, men were inspired and thought through their inspiration to create the world they desired. |
tyup:The impact probably made them unconscious, unconscious people can't run. |
millhouse:The affairs of a state are run through ministries these ministries are overseen by permanent secretaries. Mr governor should tell all perm secs, internal revenue chairman, auditor general etc. to submit a report within 24hrs and he will get all the information he needs. we need leaders who can think through problems and not those that complain about everything, I suspect the Ogun & zamfara state governors are probably going through the same issues. |
Mr govonor needs to be wary of hasty decisions. |
Nollywood can't eat it's cake and have it, the problem is more of a structure problem than an exclusive piracy problem. We need movie companies like twenty century fox n mgm. Give the alaba guys the opportunity to finance movies, right now what we have is individuals being actors, director, producer, and distributor. On person trying to make all the money, |
Changing service chiefs might be a breath of fresh air as the north is gradually becoming a failed state as a result of banditry, killer herdsmen, and terrorist. I believe Pastor Adeboye's view may be a conflict in perception, solving the problem in the north will fall into 3 categories, the short, mid n long term solutions. We have been fighting this war with a short-term perspective changing service chiefs won't change anything if we are stuck in this perspective. The government needs to create prosperity for the people of the north, prosperity flushes out and weakens insecurity. |

obailala:Every state has its own distribution grid, the national grid feeds these distribution grid. Imagine every state generating its own electricity or a Geopolitical zone generating and transmiting her own electricity, we would have eliminated multiple points of failure which seems to be one of the bottle necks in the national grid. Many industries and churches are already doing it in Lagos , they have their own gas turbine, they generate and even sell to neighboring community. |
The simple solution to the power problem is decentralize it. Lagos can't be dependent on Benin transmission company even though it has a power station. Scrap national grid it's not working. |
DonGtoG1:I disagree with your assertion of intervention, it takes non tolerance and consequences for actions to turn things around. Who was responsible for getting oxygen? The person needs to be charged for involuntary manslaughter period. It's not intervention that makes health care in other parts of the world, it is discipline. |
manontree:My unit measure was from the stand piont of revenue. What was the revenue from our ports as of 2010? What is the revenue from our ports as we speak? The congestion in the ports is more of a political problem that can only be through a combined effort of state and federal government the water ways to the ports in other parts of the country need serious dredging, ships have gotten stuck on these route. Any state with a port other than Lagos has to evaluate the economic value of a port to it and partner with the FG to make it work. Until then no minister, ministry, chairman or party can do nothing. Apapa will always be congested until our ports are decentralized. That's not something a minister or MD can do. |
The woman is doing well at NPA, abeg leave her there. |
Some people and their funny analysis, just because Dangote decided to sell a business unit he is not a good business man. Do you know how many business units companies like GE has sold? Or because this sold chivita to Coca-ColaDoes that make them terrible business? Businesses evolve, smart entrepreneur know when to cut their losses and move on. |
incogni2o:Nawa ooo!!! If TY didn't bring her out we will say she is wicked, if TY is monitoring her we will say she is being manipulative. Long and short this lady needed a leap and she got it, those who that helped her wouldn't leave their businesses to babysit her. Money & fame are accelerator of character, what we see now is who she has always been, one wonders why God does bless many, that answer is it will destroy them. The lady in question is an adult and as adults we should respect their decision. |
The Nigeria system hasn't been fair on the creative arts. I feel sorry for most of our actors and actresses. In a sane clime they should be swimming in millions. |
I don't understand some people's submission, Ambode created a number of new infrastructure, and left the existing infrastructure to rot. It is said as of today there is no major road in Lagos that is good let's not even go into waste disposal. We don't need super highways or busstop we need good onces. |
You are right we can't stop a northerner from contesting in 2023 but we sure can stop them from winning. |
for me the most important things that will make us become a great nation. 1) Decentralisation: we need to restructure how everything works in the country, it doesn't make sense for Abuja to be responsible for the road on my street, it doesn't make sense for Rivers to generate electricity and send it to Kano, it doesn't make sense for Abuja to control the security in my local community. We need several forms of autonomy. 2) strengthing the criminal justice system: we need to ensure that there are consequences for action and adherence to rules and regulations, if this cant be achieved then we are not ready. 3) strengthing institutions: we need to ensure that our ministries departments and agencies have a clear vision and outlined goals of what we intend to achieve on the short, mid, and long term. we need to ensure that multinationals do not take our brightest and best to work for them, and we need to ensure that the MDA's attract talent. 4)selecting true leaders at the political party levels: In Nigeria, the elections are already rigged before we go to the pools, the political parties produce terrible candidates that we have to accept. we will require parties with clear cut ideology. I believe solving these 4 problems will open the doors to solving problems like education, economy, infrastructure, employment etc. . |
buhariski:This has everything to do with what you have feed your mind with over a long period of time. To flush it out you need to feed your mind with something else, it's not going to be a month fix, it could be for years but as time goes your condition becomes better. Secondly you need to learn how to substitute thoughts, replace any thought of masturbating with another thought of your choice, it may be soccer, or a skill or what ever, immediately you notice that you are thinking of sex purposely change the thought with a positive one. I wish u all the best |
I believe as a people we need to develop a unit measurement of success, it would be unfair to say a governor or president didn't do anything during his tenure in office, in plain terms what we really mean is that the president or governor didn't do enough to meet our expectation. But how do we measure enough? it starts with the peoples agender measured with short-term, midterm, and long-term goals. imagine if we have a peoples mandate that states that the present government resurfaces all major roads of a state in 2 years. As for the niger-delta what is required there is visionary leadership, I don't see any reason why we don't have an inter south-south rail network to foster trade in the region. |
Fake news. It is a dismissed objection of the APC, for the PDP candidate to contest the results of the elections. https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/321626-breaking-osun-tribunal-dismisses-apc-oyetolas-objection.html Read the story and not just the headlines |
