You are tired of topics like this but you still open it and comment on it?
Read and understand topic you refused, in your mind this thread is for gender wars.

Its very shameful. Threads like this are powering to women in troubled marriages but its their fellow woman that is coming here to say she is tired of them.
And you think you are in the best position to help them especially with this post you created?

A troubled marriage is a serious thing and the last thing a woman in that situation needs is a thread on Nairaland inciting any form of division or disunity rather than seeing a marriage/professional counselor or calling family together.

Iam so confused right now, my husband wants to send our 5 years old son to a boarding school which I refused, pls has any one here done it before and how was the experience
My colleague told me he started boarding school at nursery 2 all through till end of primary school. He said he was well taken care of but the relationship with his parents is non existent. He can stay without seeing or calling his parents for months.

He said the last time his dad tried to influence his decision, he walked out on him. There is no relationship or bond. He is closer to outsiders. He still resents them for not letting him be with them as a child and he is the first born.

5years old is too young to let him be by himself except you guys don't mind missing his formative years and risking not having a good relationship with him

Don't worry honey just take care of the house and the children and let me worry about paying all the bills.

*Today's husbands:

What are you bringing to the table? You think it is only me that will pay all these bills. Go and work and contribute.

Your wife is such a brat! no vex! So if her mom had asked her to sweep at 9month, she would hold it against her forever? No be her fault, the women who handle their chores all through pregnancies by themselves don't have more than 1 head! Iranu. You better embrace Christianity more...at least it helps reform peoples had behavior.

Whew...no vex fa.
The truth is that her own mum wouldn't have asked her to sweep it and her MIL wouldn't have asked her own daughter to sweep it. Things like this hurt women.

My close friend had a very difficult pregnancy that she was on drip for almost 7months and bedridden. She was in so much pain that her husband who is a doctor was considering taking it out. Her MIL's comment then was "are you the first person to get pregnant"? She cried ehn!

She still has it in mind though she has tried to let it go. Some MILs still don't see their DILs as their daughters.

After you don abuse the wife, you come say no vex. Continue

It is getting tiring seeing threads complaining about men and women.

ooh..nigerian women that want the prince harry and megan type of wedding..we see them daily..they dont even get the hot white men but the type of they get, you will be surprised and disappointed..even Nigerian men are better than them..funny enough even after getting these grandfathers and sugar daddys called husbands they still cheat on them with Nigerian men.

the only men that bring flabby tummy grandma are visa and green card hungry men..
Just like the ones that marry foreign women and become puppies.

pls show me..those are not young men..those are men divorced almost like 2 times...then you have aonther type of white men who have no game and men their women wont look twice at..when they have tried everything..with no success..their next hope is Nigerian women who jump at them even with just an hi.
Whatever the reason, Nigerian women marry more of the young white men than Nigerian men do the young white women.

It is even the Nigerian men that go for white women with no game...one flabby tummy grandma who doesn't even get stares from their fellow men. Those are the ones Nigerian men bring back to marry

they sample other men..you mean other Nigerian men..the reality is this, very few western men go out with our Nigerian women even though many of them want these western men badly..the truth is that western men are not attracted to our women because they think our women are muscular and not submissive, they prefer Asian women..
Hmmm...yet we keep seeing more weddings of the young white men marrying Nigerian women than young white women marrying Nigerian men(it's usually one grannie they bring home).

lol I travel a lot ,, so every thing I say to you are true,, and a career woman is different from a feminist!! White women hv 40/ 60 when we talk about equal right , so the agitation for it hv reduced,, most white women are feminist but not all fight for the remaining 10 percent!! But when serious issues regarding women come up , they all stand up n fight against it,,, every woman wants a beautiful home n family,, but no white woman will remain with a cheater or an abuser unlike Africa, yes there are more career women in Nigeria cause they feel hv a lot to prove cause the Nigerian system still suppresses women, try and comprehend it.. career women r not just the women u see on tv,, there are a lot of women working their ass off to be great n recongniced in the society, you don’t know them all neither do I!! So don’t expect me to give you names! You camparing hving a small job without a certificate, with Nigeria where you don’t get a job at all with your certificate, down there u can get two or more jobs n u would live good!! So u mean men r not home sitting with out jobs in Nigeria?

Let’s stick to the topic, and be guided with your words,, I really wonder why u all up on ur feelings
From research and findings, even in the foreign countries, Africans and Indians are the most educated. Imagine a friend of mine who did her master's in the UK. She works in the US under a white boss that doesn't have a university degree. She told me...

"Nigerians dey go school o". We are too educated"

you dey mind them..the op post came out of jealousy.they are writing like no good relationships between foreign women and Nigerian men... there are plenty of them...

last last..after our sampling and their waiting... they will still accept and welcome us with full hugging.
Like they don't sample other men too. No one is a loser in the game.

maybe those who genuinly love their wife or those ones who were married b4 they travelled out.those would naturally want to be with their wives.iyam talking of dose ones that their relation or parents arrange home based wives for them.many of them keep their home based wives back in the villages in nigeria while they live on with their foreign wives in europe or US. many of them nah so dem dey arrange their own.anyway a number of their homebased wives also have lovers back in naija so they dont feel dat lonely wen their overseas based husby is away.ehn actually its cheaper coming abroad to nigeria but costlier flying from nigeria to abroad....though it depend on d region u based sha.
You are talking of the village minded men. The ones that are still looking for a woman that would be his subject or slave. Those ones with traditional thinking and mindset.

Sooo many men take their wives. All the ones i know have their wives with them or working on the wife to join them. They are much more than the ones that are afraid of the wives coming to outshine them especially because of the way they have treated their wives.

There is a well celebrated case that happened to a Jehovah witness doctor in ikeja. A woman needed transfusion. An adult. She refused since she was a Jehovah's witness. The first doctor who is not a witness referred. The husband now took her to a Jehovah's witness doctor. Being a member of their sect, he agreed not to tranfuse and the woman died. Now the siblings of the woman(not the husband) now sued the Jehovah's witness doctor that HE DIDNT TRANSFUSE NOT BECAUSE THE WOMAN IS A WITNESS BUT BECAUSE THE DOCTOR IS A WITNESS THEREFORE USING HIS FAITH TO KILL THE WOMAN. The argument was, if the doctor had not been a witness, he wouldn't have agreed not to transfuse if so his faith rather than the faith of the patient was the determining factor. Medical council revoked the license of the doctor. He went to appeal court. It was upheld. He later went to supreme Court where it was held that since the woman had earlier rejected the transfusion with a doctor that was not a witness, she would have rejected it with a doctor of her faith too had it been the Jehovah's witness doctor offered it too. The mistake the Jehovah's witness doctor made was that...being a witness...HE DIDNT GET A WRITTEN CONSENT FROM THEM THAT HE OFFERED THEM BLOOD BUT THEY REFUSED so there was no evidence he offered them. So it was believed that despite knowing the patient needed, he refused to offer them since HE WAS A WITNESS NOT BECAUSE THE PATIENT WAS A WITNESS. Bottom line is this, a doctor must be experienced in dealing with these people. Some of them will beg you behind that doctor, once my Jehovah's family leave, give my wife blood but don't let anyone know. Just make him sign and carry on
The case was already a lost case because she herself rejected it and she is a adult. Her family going to court was a waste of time and resources.

I don't know how you can talk about a group of relatively smaller number of people and sideline where we as a whole ought to be in terms of technological advancement that can make all these a non issue.

Come on.
They have chosen their beliefs and it puts the life of an innocent child in the mix. It's good as the supreme court has taken this decision. That is what matters to me.
