You don't get the point, From the write up, you can deduce that ''Bill'' draws inspiration from that lady, though he loves his wife but the ideas, motivation and feeling of sharing your dreams with someone of ''like-minded'' can never be traded for anything.

Do they indulge in adultery? The write up didn't state that, so it's wrong to assume they did.

The wife is aware of this friendship, she is ok with it, The said lady was part of his greatness.

I hate it when people throw away years of friendship because they want to please a very insecure fellow.

For me the code is simple; respect and honor your wife and the holy matrimony but don't trade your friends for anything.
They were dating. It wasn't just a friendship.

So can you allow your wife spend just one week every year with her ex-boyfriend for inspiration for her business.

She needs him for the inspiration because you are not enough inspiration for her. Would you allow her?

If u read well, I even said in the post that I got the fishes for free so I believe everyone is aware
Madam I saw it. That's why I said the soup is not 850. That fish (stock fish and dry fish) would cost like extra 600 and palm oil like 200. That's 1,650.

Sunisonflex39:
But I got the basics for 850
The point is that the soup is not 850. It's more than that. Someone will look at your soup and expect to buy everything you used for 850.

i have the palm oil at home, the dishes were giving to me from a Neighbor That it travelling..

As for the Oha,were I went to get it, it was not on sale so I had to substitute with uziza..
Cos I have already made up my mind to cook soup..
That means the soup is not 850. Someone else that doesn't have fish, palm oil or anything at home will spend more than that to make that soup. Your post is misleading.

i used offor as you can see there..
That's oziza leaf I used not okazi..

Thank you for the compliment
It's not Oha when there's no oha leaf in it. Oha soup is usually a combination of oha leaves and oziza leaves.

Besides, the palm oil stockfish and dried fish were not included in the 850.

I think the difference between The Voice and Idol is that, The Voice contestants are more mature, more expose and most have been doing music and also the selection process is more tedious than Idol also their judges are more better than Idol but Idol are just guys starting life and most are newbies to the music world.... I love the Idol for the comic relief he gives and also for giving opportunity to those that don't think they can get to stardom through music like my superstar comfort...
The Voice contestants are more mature because the judges are more fair and objective in their picking. Both shows look for people that already sing well and not for those just getting a hang of singing. But Idol judges profile the contestants by their looks, humility, star quality, etc.

You can imagine that guy that had a birthmark on his forehead getting past auditions. In the Voice, they don't have the luxury of seeing the person behind the voice. They only judge by the singing.

When I heard Beyonce sing last Sunday and they picked her, I just concluded that the judges don't know what they are doing. Idols had better judges before. They need to change these clowns they have against the next season.
Family › Re: Pastor Folayemi Richard Beat Pregnant Wife To Coma 3 Months After Wedding by ImaIma1(f): 10:15am On May 04, 2021
RightToReject:
Experience and fact have repeatedly shown that making limiting retaliatory excuses for evil/heinous crime has done no person/country/organization any good. When people know that they do not hold the ace on how a victim of their offense can choose to react, they always sit up and embrace goodness and in the end everyone wins, and principle reigns supreme over expediency.
Excuses have not even been made here. We don't even know what wrong the wife committed. But is that enough to beat up a pregnant woman to that point? Any form of beating is unacceptable. There are other ways to settle issues especially between man and wife.

This will not sink until it happens to our close family members. Will we be asking what she did to deserve such beating so that we can weigh them to see if the beatings are justified.

RightToReject:
Provided that he isn't the instigator and the offense that made him react the way he did is a threat to his continual wellbeing, then his reaction is justifiable - even though his choice of retaliation might not have been the best. If he reacted this way to a minor issue, however, to hell with him.

One who comes into equity must come with clean hands. Until most people stop enabling nonsense directly or indirectly, savagery will not abate in society.
It's not justifiable. Only unstable people act that way. Sending her back to her parents is a better option than his method. If she had died, would anyone be asking what she did? Would it matter?

Same with me.

she is young, beautiful, with a good voice too.
Beyonce cannot sing to save her life. If the judges were real judges, she wouldn't have gone past auditions. They are looking at her beauty and not listening to her voice.

On The Voice, no one would have turned for her. The Voice is a much more better show.

I don't even hit my siblings, nor sb in my care.

I rather deploy other punitive measures.
Beating for me comes when you intentionally did something knowing it is wrong especially when I have told you not to. Or if a child is rude, disrespectful and stubborn.

Beating too much may take away their confidence and not allow them tell you problems they are going through as they grow. Besides, I was the beating type but my hubby told me not to beat her for everything. That I should remember that she's a kid and naughtiness is part of their growing up.

That reporting stuff never suits me. I'm mostly temperate with kids because I know they don't know better. But aunty, if your pikin carry do pass e sef, I go beat am walahi talahi cheesy.
I can't trust how someone else may beat. It may be out of anger and besides, some people beat anyhow and could inflict injuries on that child. Let someone not go and use iron to burn the child or koboko to peal the child's back in the name of discipline. People can overdo.

So, me I am careful with other people's children. I no dey do pass myself. Aside, the regular light spanking on the hand or scolding and correcting, I prefer to report to the mother. But if thst child lives with me and wqs kept in my care, I can discipline him/her like I do my children.

Besides, there are some things I don't beat kids for because I feel it's a learning curve for them and I want them to be able to be open to me about stuff as they grow, and not always thinking that mummy will beat me. Wooo...parenting is not easy abeg

Unless you have a different definition for the word naughty, but all the listed except 5 are naughty behaviours.
Let me beat my child myself or her father. I don't just beat children, I would rather report them to their parents. Except that child is kept in my care to look after.

Family › Re: How Do I Instill Boldness And Confidence In My Daughters? by ImaIma1(f):
Hemanwel:
Good morning dear nairalanders!

I have two daughters: one will be 3 years old later in the year and the other will be 1 next month. I noticed that my first daughter is too timid. She gets easily frightened by her peers. She is quiet. She will allow just anybody to carry her - even those whom she is older and bigger than - without any resistance.

I really don't like these attributes about her. I want her to have the boldness to resist some of these things. I want her to be aggressive. I want her to grow up having confidence in doing things her way.
I also wish to instill that in the second child. Thank you!

lalasticlala
I understand what you mean. I also have a 3yr old daughter but she's the opposite of your daughter. She enjoys playing with older children and will be the one to go introduce herself and ask for their names, even adults. She's quite bold and outspoken.

I think it has more to do with their character than what we can do. But it might help that while bringing her up, we allowed her to express herself freely without always scolding her or letting her think she was wrong.

We allowed her some kind of independence for her age, not always shielding her from doing stuff. Just overseeing and coming in where necessary.

But let your daughter be if that's who she is. Just make sure you try to make her feel free to express herself.
Family › Re: How Would You React If Somebody Hits Your Child For These Reasons? by ImaIma1(f):
It's better you report any offense to me instead of beating him.or her. Let me be the one to discipline my child. I think there will be a greater impact than an outsider doing the beating.
