officialfysh:What kind of risk are you talking about? How many kids have died since corona virus was first reported in Nigeria? Or do you believe the sham we call lockdown was effective at all in containing spread of the virus? Do you know that most of these kids and adults at home have been exposed to coronavirus and recovered? What you see NCDC reporting on daily basis are just a few cases that presented to the test centers. Even you might have been exposed without knowing it! |
Temysteve:You don't know me, so your assertion isn't valid. |
Rgade:The fact that you did runs doesn't mean everyone else did! |
This is the sad reality of events in our educational system! And the worst part is that these people with fraudulent results end up putting honest students at disadvantages. Even our higher institutions are not left out! |
Don't expect another "rapture " different from the one talking place this year via Covid19. |
I had to read through every bit of this article as it mirrored all I have been thinking concerning public education system generally in Nigeria. I'm very convinced that in no distant future, public university education in Nigeria would go the way of her primary and secondary schools counterparts and when that happens, ASUU should be held largely responsible. Well done prof! |
Please if you have the resources, ensure you don't choose a public university. Go to a private university and save yourself all the embarrassments of ASUU strikes. |
This is so true! |
Slawormir:The few ones that genuinely hate corruption are usually referred to as"jew" and are never given the opportunity to be at the helm of affairs by the corrupt majority. They are literally the laughing stock of the Nigerian society! That is how fuccked Nigeria has become! |
edoairways:ASUU was yet to develop their so called UTAS as at the time they embarked on the strike. Why not develop the system first and then push for its adoption? No! ASUU would rather go on strike instead of seeking diplomatic means of resolving issues. Regarding the cuts in their salaries, that problem is not peculiar to university lecturers. I have people working in the civil service who had their salaries reduced at the time they got enrolled into the system but all such shortages have been fully paid and they never went on strike. |
Go to the nearest psychiatric hospital and consult a psychiatrist. |
Good move. But it's also important to curb the menace of drug abuse by ensuring strict control of psychoactive drugs. Mental health issues should also be given adequate attention. Nobody in his right mental state would engage in rape. It's a psychological problem! |
Ugwuanyi is doing well too He woke up in his second term. |
It's high time Nigerian government took decisive actions against ASUU in order to save our university system from imminent total collapse. I've always maintained that ASUU strikes will put the final nail on the coffin of Nigerian public university system. Already, even average families have started sending their children to private universities. All it'll take is a little improvement in our economy and introduction of educational loans system by the banks and even the poorest students would be able to access loans and pay their ways through private universities. That would mark the end of public university education in Nigeria. Sack these old professors and promote those PhD holders they've held down for many years. Those that refused to take such promotions should be sacked alongside the professors. Stop treating ASUU with kids glove, they are heartless bunch who don't care about anyone but their selfish interests! |
Acme45:How those ASUU lecturers manage to suppress their consciences when they receive salaries they never worked for still baffles me. |
SALARIES OF LECTURERS AND TEACHERS IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS SHOULD ALSO BE STOPPED UNTIL 2021. This is to help cushion the effects of the virus on our dwindling economy. It is important that we don't experiment with our precarious economy by paying people who're not working! That is a colossal waste of resources and is capable of jeopardizing the economic fortunes of the country! Such waste of resources can lead to serious economic downturn which will negatively affect everyone of us including those other civil servants who were diligently doing their jobs while observing safety protocols in the midst of covid19 |

Gaddafiyusf:Only a bigger fo0l claims there's a god without showing us. |
Happy birthday to you sir-- Okute ndi Igbo! |
Imagine the arrogance displayed by senator Uba in this trash he called letter. If I were sen Utazi, I wouldn't even apologize to him in the first place. Nonsense! |
That's a good one from the president @MBuhari! Kudos |
It's unfortunate that some Nigerians would still fall victims of religious frauds even after this covid19 experience. I wonder what other evidence people need to know that they're being scammed by these conmen! |
jrusky:He "loves" her for being a virgin just like y'all "love" for different reasons. |
Vyzz:Who created us then If god created imperfect people who makes the world worse, that shows that god is an imperfect creator! |
Good for the Olosho publisher! He should be made to cough out that 2Billion naira or rot behind bars so that next time he'll mind his business. He's like all these loose ladies that get jittery when a man decides to use his hard earned money to marry a virgin. They're free to make their own choices of marriage partners but get angry when a man does same. As if somebody forced them to lose their virginity to premarital sex....yeye girls! |
The rationale in opening markets, interstate movements and religious gatherings while leaving schools closed is what I'm still trying to understand. |
iceboy4752:Exactly! The bills our senators propose nowadays are really people-oriented and commendable. Kudos to them. |
jesmond3945:Maurice Iwu is a pharmacist |
donbachi:LMAO |
Absolutely unnecessary.. I believe if every Nigerian is tested for Covid19 antibody today, majority of us would test positive. Corona virus has penetrated the country such that many people suffered and recovered from the virus without knowing it. Even from the number that tested negative using PCR as in this update, I'm sure many of them would test positive for the antibody... |
Marriage should be a thing of choice... However, those that wish to marry should do on time because conception is better achieved at younger age especially for women....fact! While those of us that chose to enjoy our freedom should equally be allowed to live our lives in peace! |
And you were a staunch PDP member for many years before you defected to APC. So, you are part of the problem! |
