Not only antiretroviral drugs! Nigeria may soon go into serious drugs crisis due to irrational use of drugs even when not necessary. Even after countries have opened their borders for international business, critical items like drugs might not become readily available for export. Sane countries would hoard their drugs to ensure their citizens have adequate supply. |
The truth is that ASUU strikes contribute to the reason many Nigerians look elsewhere for university education. |
joyandfaith:My brother, that pharmacy was not owned by a pharmacist. Many fake people parade themselves as pharmacists today. If you are sure the person you met was actually a pharmacist, you could report to PCN for disciplinary actions to be taken against him/her... |
joyandfaith:Most of those people you see are not pharmacists my brother! |
Whoever advises this government about covid19 is doing a very bad job. |
Date-rape drugs are still sold freely in open drug markets, so why are we surprised about increasing rape cases ![]() |
FOOLS This move will be highly regretted when our poorly informed healthcare authorities get to know the whole truth about this virus. All these lockdown and school closures are not necessary anymore in Nigeria because coronavirus has spread to every nook and crannies of the country. If the Nigerian government wanted to lockdown, they should have done it like China and other developed nations did. |
Kudos to governor Gburugburu |
Gforce2015:And you're what? APC "assliker'' I guess? |
This clown thinks he's dealing with kids We all understand the strategy of mouthing off to instill fears in your opponents, but Ganduje should be prepared to meet his waterloo in Edo state. Obaseki's victory is sure! |
BackllGodNaija:THIS IS HOW RELIGIOUS PEOPLE ARGUE Cut and join argument! |
That's a state where the governor thinks smart! |
Let's take stats of the number of deaths in Cross river state hospitals now and compare it to the numbers we had prior to covid19. I believe that if covid19 is still as contagious as it is believed to be and as deadly as what we all saw in Europe and the USA, Crossriver in particular and Nigeria as a whole would have been in serious health crisis by now. Let's learn to approach issues with all sincerity and open mindedness. |
Good development. We can't continue to have selfish politicians like Oshiomole sacrifice some of hour good leaders on the alter of political godfatherism. Ambode was sacrificed but Obaseki no gree. Obaseki is the man! |
Lockdown is not necessary in Nigeria since it yields no results. I think we should just learn to live with the virus because from the look of things, the virus seems to be losing potency already, or people have learnt to manage the disease. There's a recent increase in "malaria" attacks in Enugu. Almost everybody I know suffered "malaria". Most of these people recovered without being admitted to hospitals. In fact, many did not even experience respiratory symptoms like sore throat, cough nor catarrh. Just normal fever and weakness of the body. I made some hypothesis from the above incidence and concluded that perhaps, humanity is winning the war against this disease. Though we still need to be careful, but life should go on without this fake Nigerian kind of lockdown. The government should just revamp our healthcare institutions, invest money in research and pharmaceutical industry and be prepared for the future, because more viruses are still mutating and getting ready to attack humans. A word is enough for the wise! |
Any WISE politician in APC should be seriously worried about such defection! I know it's not true sha |
Righteousness89:This has nothing to do with spirituality or whatever. The man is just mentally sick, but unfortunately in Nigeria, mental health issues are not given adequate attention. People are still ignorant of the fact that one may appear normal whilst still mentally sick. Religion has continued to divert attention from the core problems we have in this country. |
SmartPolician:The voice and outward appearance na format sometimes. I believe deep down, Wike knows what he's doing. You know when you're fighting against radicals, you need to toughen up a bit. There are very few gentlemen in Rivers state, especially in the political cycle. |
I hope this pandemic would teach our politicians some lessons! Develop our pharmaceutical and health sector generally, they refused! Invest in research, they say a big No. A more coordinated drug industry would have made it possible to source for the active ingredients of this antiviral drug and even manufacture it here. But they kept using charlatans to bastardize our pharmaceutical sector, forgetting that pharmaceutical business is not only about profiteering but takes the general public health into cognizance! Let them continue being stup1d! More diseases like covid-19 are on their way! |
Great news! That's a man there... His victory at the polls will be landslide |
J111333:Amaechi is an Igboman Let's keep politics aside and state the fact. |
Eboski:Exactly! You just said it all. Oshiomole is not wise. He shouldn't have started this war with Obaseki in the first place. He should have learnt from other past governors and allowed Obaseki run his government. Even as the battle with Obaseki was raging, many people intervened, including Buhari himself but Oshiomole refused to listen! In politics and in life generally, there are times when one needs to stoop to conquer. Politics is not always by mouth, intelligence is very important! |
Rollins777:The same Oshiomole that was loved by most Nigerians during his reign as NLC chairman? He joined partisan politics and transformed to another Idi Amin of Uganda! Too much highhandedness! No decorum! Always acting like a military dictator. I think many people hate his style of politicking, not his person. |
Jesusloveyou:Of course, Obaseki refused to be a stooge to Oshiomole and every reasonable observer of events in Nigerian politics should support him. APC has looted more funds in just 5years compared to 16years of PDP. APC is the real " share the money" my brother! |
That's a good development. Anything to stop godfatherism in Nigerian politics is welcome by me. Do your 8years, hand over and hands off! Let the new sheriff run his government in peace. That's not too much to ask for! |
Nairobi33:That is for matters outside the state, not for those that happened within the territories of the state. |
Kyase:Both have the same jurisdiction! |
Kennyprince:Bro, Obaseki is doing well for Edo state. That is why I support him. BTW, I live in Benin city not Lagos! |
techmo:They can reach an agreement with Obaseki to have their monies refunded and even lobby for some other benefits in his government. That's politics for you |
tesppidd:Obaseki is not that kind of politician who'll care about being a godfather. His interest is in winning his second tenure and putting Oshiomole in his place. |
