Background Story

I've been looking to settle down since the past 2 years and there has been no luck. The exposed and educated ones are a bit too difficult and proud. I love my women ambitious and educated, but the ones I keep meeting especially in Lagos don't seem interested.

As a young man in his late twenties, the temptations and causal flings aren't encouraging. I want to settle down soonest and focus on other things.

Now, there's this young girl I saw in my village the last time I traveled about 2 years ago, she should be around 20 right now. Very young and pretty but hasn't gained admission to school yet. She's the first born and her family aren't too comfortable. I was discussing about her with my mum, but my mum said she isn't in school yet. I'm thinking of funding her education, after getting married to her that is, since she's still young and very homely.

She's not my preference as I said earlier but the mature one's seem to be waiting for one Prince Charming to sweep them off their feet.

What do you guys think?

You are going to get married to that lady for the wrong reasons. You just feel she will agree because her family is poor, I even think you want her (despite the fact she's not your preference) because you think she will be swept off her feet by a guy from Lagos which might sound better to her than other village prospects.


Since you see the educated ones are difficult and proud, you will also see this young lady as proud after her education.

My mum have never liked my wife to the extend of wishing her death when she lost our first baby and I had disowned her for saying that. My stepmother have been here for us since day 1 she is in my house taking care of my wife and babies , my mum called saying that she want to come over and take care of my wife and kids and will be spending a month . Yeah but there has to be a balance, (safe) exposure to germs to build some immunity sounds okay, nobody actually wants to ( or can even) groom a child in a completely sterile environment but then age is also a factor, its might be better healthwise for a one year old to attend creche than a 3 month old.

A one year old and a 3month old being exposed to the same environment ( children with different cattarh, cold and every every) might yield different results in both children healthwise.

Actually it's not, lots of us mothers can testify that during covid lockdown which the children didn't go to school for months, there were fewer cases of catarragh and cold,fever sef most infections in little children are gotten from school or creche.

And then it was even a topic on one group on FB., many testimonies from mothers, that lockdown confirmed to me that it's mostly from school children get these common infections, my son didn't even sneeze for those 6 months. I didn't even realize till I saw that discussion on FB

Now generally the way to solve this since parents are working is a daycare, creche or a day home (whatever name it's called) just a system that has a homely and educational touch, where the kids are allowed to be kids.

Not too much of a school setting, more like a home setting but they learn too( this is also important) The children eat, sleep, play when they want to and they also do all these their coloring, scribbling, shapes etc learning. No pressure of writing or anything at all, if they fall asleep during one activity all is good.

Most times these type of creches/ homes are standalone and not attached to schools or at most they have only nursery 1 and 2. The child is playing and learning also having social interaction.

I have seen 1 year plus children going to proper schools and there's no time to nap, the students are always stressed and all that.

I think 3yrs is ideal age for kids to start school, forget about creche or whatever.....they play videos for them and eat their food

Download the videos on YouTube and play it in your house for them, pray with them always, teach them family values which no teacher can.

The problem is who will stay with them at home, the mother has to work.

Lool the hypocris though, the same set of people that hailed Bianca for slapping a woman that insulted her are the ones criticizing will Smith who slapped for the same reason.
