I am going to address the Gen part only since that's what you asked advice for. I don't see anything wrong moving your Gen from the house to your business place, if you were still staying with them would your brother say you shouldn't take the Gen to the shop abi I am not understanding sef. How do people reason these days, Gen will be used to generate money. |
What's wrong with the dancing video, abi was there anything wrong with that? |
Cutehector:But it is wrong, the only reason why people are happy is because it was Bianca that slapped obiano and not the way round, if it was the way round nko. Simply because obiano is a controversial woman doesn't make the incident right. It's a case of two fighting irrespective of the caliber of those involved. |
See them celebrating one person slapping another. Slapping her is wrong jare especially at that function haba. Though the receiver get her own for body |
Ephetar:No way to change the sleep cycle, you have to endure. Sorry ehn welcome to parenthood |
Phototherapy ooo, since the doctor has said it kindly go for it. Don't they have facilities for phototherapy, if they don't they should refer you to a hospital that has, it's important. Congrats. |
Bianca should have not slapped her, she should have exercised restraint haba. It is wrong on all sides. it's a swearing in ceremony but only God knows what that woman told her, you walked about 10 steps just to tell her something that would elicit a reaction at a swearing in ceremony? Nawa ooo |
gabbytabby:Not only Muslims, my dad was a Christian at least so I believe, an Anglican, you know most of the older generation are mainly orthodox. I still can't wrap it round my head why he didn't leave a will, highly educated Accountant Canadian trained, he worked so hard in Nigeria and he did love his children even though I can't say same for the wives. Now his children might not be able to get more access to his properties, even if they feel the elder ones don't need it( who doesn't need extra legal money in Naija these days anyway) there are 2 younger ones that are still in school and they will need the funds. Anyway Na their mama siddon on top 3 flats sef. My mum had warned me about trying to ask about anything. ' you are my only child oo I have worked hard so you will not suffer whatever they do with it just look on' I always believe time will take care of everything. Make I dey my dey abeg. |
ImaIma1:Wow 1,2 million difference, do they work on the island? Proximity to work is a very major factor for a lot of people. The 2nd and 3rd bolded has always been my concern, apart from house rent, you pay more for water, school fees, markets everything other thing is expensive, a family person would think twice if you are not really that rich enough to live there. I know someone that rented a bed space for 350k at Yaba, I guess it's serviced, bedspace like hostel oo, they are 2 in the room, 2 beds she works on the island and seems the roommate is working class I can only imagine how much that will cost on the island. |
Chai Ile olorogun My father's houses they did not see the thing to share. Even the flat he allocated to me by mouth and paper (not a will) but a signed document he gave myself and my younger half sibling it's the last wife that is living in the compound of 3 flats alone. Last wife that fought with dad and locked him out of his property . Dad moved into guest house, my husband's people don't know my father's house till date. it's the guest house they came to ask for my hand oo. Na there we do trad too. . Shey it's that one I want to follow say one thing one thing. My Dad's sister seem have taken over the property in Lagos. I managed to trace the place because Dad gave me the address about 5 months before he died. Even the trace sef my collegues from were waiting for me by the entrance of the street and if I stay too long they will mobilize and come over simply because the house is on the same street as dad's sisters husband so they will always see you if you come around and anything can happen. I was sha able to enter the street undetected. Seems they left one flats for the 3 siblings abroad when they come home. The guest house in our home town, I don't even know who's controlling that one, last I heard was that during the burial, my cousins were removing gotv abi is it TV from the rooms ![]() My half elder siblings 3 of the same mother abroad, I doubt those ones will even come to Naija anymore they are too oyinbolized I think. And we are not even plenty oo just 7 only 7 children pere. And Dad too didn't help matters he didn't bring us together, he always felt one person wanted to harm the other so we all never made contact for years, if I ask for my elder siblings no he will ask what do I need it for and because the 3 of them still lived with my dad, mum and myself during my early years before they went back abroad I felt I could relate with them more. I kuku searched them out on FB, was able to get the eldest of them, we would chat maybe once a year all through my time in scholl Then I was getting married, I believe he sensed he would soon die, he used that to try to reunite us, we talked spoke and laughed it was refreshing. They even sent me a sizeable amount as wedding present. And then 11 months later Dad died, the burial was successful and after that we all went back to our normal hello hi once in a very long while. I personally do not know who is incharge of his properties, I suspect dad sisters those ones have always been a pain in the neck to all the wives and their children always feel they have rights over their Uncles (my dad's) properties. No will so it's a free for all. Dad was highly educated so I felt he should have left a will. Honestly there are levels to this madness. Polygamous home? Wouldn't wish it for my worst enemy and I am talking as someone who we all never lived together at the same point. |
Whois:Loool, eku hand inside the water. Meaning those with new babiess are always washing or bathing baby [ your hand will always be inside water. All these our Yoruba greetings expressions ehn. |
Jbleenk:Surulere is like the center of Lagos to me, every where is accessible from there. Ikorodu, badagry, Island, all the angles in Lagos. |
descartes400:It's their doctrine and they belive strongly in it. |
Omoluabi16:Solid points Very valid question |
DoingBetter:Seriously? |
descartes400:He might, he might not I have seen one who said they would rather die. I just feel there should be a law for the doctor to take a decision in cases like this in adults, the one I have seen the doctor took the decision was for a baby and the doctor was sued by the parents, the hospital won. |
It's like today is Jehovah witness matter on NL. They can be very extreme in their doctrines. |
Pecoleee345:Since the guy is a Jehovah witness then he most likely had such beliefs and I belive the wife was upholding his beleiefs. Technically she didn't do anything wrong IMO, it was also what the husband believed, but as we are Nigerians she should have told them but the husband will most likely not be okay with the Inlaws giving consent for blood transfusion. As the title of your topic husband's /wives do take medical decisions for each other. Haa lalasticlala has changed the title to another heading entirely, it's going to be an interesting ride. |
Well knowing how strong Jehovah witnesses hold their doctrine I really don't blame the wife for the decision. If her husband was not a witness like herself It's a different case entirely. She should have informed them but she knows the parents ( who most likely are not witnesses) would not agree and they would sign for him to be transfused and she and her husband even in his unconscious state wouldn't want that. She knows the stand of her husband on transfusion matter so she took the decision for him. The man might even get transfused, get better and become bitter with her, we don't know how hard they (this couple) take their doctrine I have seen one that said they would rather die than get transfused. The downside now is she gets to take the blame for everything. I heard of a case where a baby was transfused against the parents wish and the hospital won in court, maybe because the baby was a minor and couldn't decide himself, Possibly hospitals should take such decisions on adults too. I believe she followed the wishes of her husband. They can't blame her for that, their son was a witness and held such beliefs. How on earth didn't the doctors know their stand on transfusion before the surgery maybe it was emergency surgery? It's a sad matter. |
Oxford group seems to be in everything, every damn business. Agritech Oil and Gas Real estate It is well ooo |
Ishilove:Yes ooo do I sound like a male ni ![]() |
If we follow the Normal menstrual cycle, it's very likely it's your fiancee since he has sex and has been having it with you closer to your ovulation period, but then stranger things have happened. Only way to be sure is DNA test after the baby is born shikena But ehn I fear you ooo. |
Atimjessy:Hian Abeg listen to your brother ooo and focus on your books. |
You envy your friends because of Facebook and what'sapp? I was 17 in the university when my cousin caught me on extracool with my Alcatel colored screen he had tried my no to come open the gate, it was busy on his end, He just sent an SMS ' Drop that call now and come open the gate' ha mogbe He spoke to the person I was talking to, (my friend a guy) both myself and the friend laughed about it, years later he told me he still had the guys no. He later talked to me and said he just wanted to be sure who I was talking with, didn't want one thirty something year old to be deceiving me lolll. If he says no Facebook and no what'sapp obey him simple, at least he didn't stop you from having a phone. Hes being protective and I don't blame him, just obey him that's all. |
Seems he's a weed smoker. But why is a man of God smoking Igbo All the things done in the secret shall be exposed in the open. |
It's later I got to hear the baby was not put in the box but was placed at the front on the tank as at when he was nabbed. Maybe his crying drew the attention of people. People have to be careful sha. They have been to the police HQ and the matter has been settled shikena. You guys should watch the video to the end. Me sef I vexed then when I heard baby was in the box and they have said baby was not in the box. Thank God driver was not hurt. The ogun go kill bloggers part kuku off me. ![]() The issue here is the saftey, was it really safe carrying a small baby either on the tank or in the box as alleged. |
Lassun01:So the child was not in the box? The news we heard was the baby was in the box and that was what infuriated people like me. If the child was not in the box why did they harass him. Nawa oo |
3W bulbs around the house Put lights off during the day Freezer on most times Fan only when necessary We bought just 10 pieces a pack of the 3w bulb when our prepaid was installed but that bulb surprised me very bright. Ctorch, very tiny bulb oo was a bit pricey then sha. Will still use it to replace the remaining spiral bulbs in the house. The down side is these ekedc people even after our landlord sent money to pay half of the bill (which was incurred before we got there) and apply for adjustment as the BM said and that debt will be cleared, 6 months later nothing nothing only for us to load last week they gave us half. These people added the bills of the 4 months we didn't have transformer to the bill, they didn't bring the bills during the blackout they know we would have complained, immediately the transformer was repaired they brought that current bill and we saw over 80k difference between the last bill brought and the current one by this time free prepaid had come and we went to register for it. Complained to the BM and he acknowledged the marketers shouldn't have billed when our transformer was dead for months, he sha said to solve it we pay have and then apply for adjustment we paid the bulk sum and then applied for adjustment with hopes it will be resolved, we even visited the office again they said it will take like one month. we used light for about 2 - 3 weeks, Then the transformer blew again, another round of darkness, September - February, they sha managed to bring another one this February, we had 180 units remaining we bought then, oya let's recharge and we got half the value, what happened, back to their office again, long story short seemed they didn't even treat the damn thing since august last year. I should check back in a month but till then we would be getting half worth of units purchased. ![]() I feel Prepaid is still better than estimated bills especially in areas that have stable light. |
pocohantas:Yeah it's understandable, lots of people wouldn't even buy milk cup of garri or rice or beans if they could help it because it seems like shortage, they would rather buy one Derica or half. If people would buy milk cup it most likely would be stuffs like egusi, Ogbona, crayfish. |
pocohantas:The milk cup is popular. The way it is here in Lagos in descending order of size for most if not all measurables including dried pepper, egusi, crayfish, beans, even rice sef, every every. Paint bucket Half paint ( the double fat Derica of tintomato) Derica Half derica Tinned milk cup - this one is mostly referred to as cup Smallest tin tomato cup(mostly used for ogobono and crayfish measurement) You would get the paint bucket, half paint and Derica from the big retailers / wholesalers who measure to sell apart from selling in bags. Derica down to smallest tinned tomato cup is mostly found with the small retailers in themarket and the women on the street |
