I was minding my business in my office trying to get out of tedious drawing I was doing, suddenly my phone rang. I checked, it was an unknown number so I ignored the call and continued with my work. The phone rang again I still did not pick. About 15 minutes later a text came from the same number that she is Mr X (my friend) wife that if I'm free I should call her back.

Immediately I had to call back.
She picked and start by apologising for calling but she couldn't just help it. That they are very broke at the moment even their little baby food is finished and no money to buy it that she had asked her husband to call me but he said he doesn't want bother me. She just had to take my number from his phone to secretly call me. She said I should send them any amount I can and I should please not let her husband know she called me that I can also send the money to his account.

I was not having much at that time so I sent 20k to his account only for my friend to call me later to thank me and also indirectly warn me not ever listen to such call from his wife.

My concern here is, why is that the same person that asked me not to tell her husband be the same person to tell her husband or is she trying to cause problem between us?

Yeah, she is very right. Most Nigerians, especially those who have been abroad for years want new comers to go through the same process of hardship they went through before making it. But among these wicked people, you meet very good ones.

Imagine a man who sacrifices everything for his children and is left in penury at old age with a mental breakdown.
We must learn to balance the two, as we raise our kids let's also remember to guard jealously our retirement plans. It is no guarantee that your children will be wholly there for you when you get old.

Yep. Go to elderly health care home or hire maids and caretakers. At a very old age, you wouldn't be able to do much and that is okay. Old age is when you should relax, reflect on your life, and prepare for death (everyone's final bus stop). Do all you want to do and chase fun and your happiness when you have the strength.

If you get divorce raped or stay in a marriage where the woman wears the pants (thanks to the family laws), becomes a thorn in your flesh (thanks to the family/domestic violence laws) and you become miserable and can't leave due to the cost of divorce, you will wish you took my advice. You might argue that it doesn't happen everyone, but it only takes one encounter and the probability of what I wrote happening is large.

Your peace of mind, serenity in your abode, and utter freedom are priceless and not worth risking by getting married in a western society. Never! Later in life, you will realise this.

Finally, try your best to avoid entering the child support plantation because that is another slavery and oppression on its own. Avoid having kids with a wife, babymama or any woman.

Go and enjoy your life. Hustle hard, make that paper and go have fun. There are a lot of sweet hobbies and entertaining and fulfilling things to do with your one and only life before you die.

Most times 200(tfare to and fro work), sometimes nothing at all, few times like 1k(fruits for the week) then, once in a month 62k for cooking. I cook once a month and on few occasions I spend anything depending on what I'm buying.

But I'm not sure of how much goes for feeding but expenses on daily bases I can't tell, like today I took my kids to the park about 7k I branched spar and spend about 11k, I fixed something in my car 4k, I send 5k to one person like that I also pay another guy 12k I teast 0ne bottle of beer and bullet 1.6k the once I can remember

My kids will not tell me what they want to eat.Make up your minds and tell me one thing and that is for days I can't seem to remember what to cook.There's a time table.
