Nigeria cannot develop with this kind of mindset.
In other climes, infrastructure like airports, seaports, electricity, super highways and industries which generate the bone of contention called marginalization are built and operated by the private sector.
In the UK, some of the hitherto state run infrastructure have been privatized .
Adebayo Ogunlesi's GIP brought London city airport in 2006, acquired majority stake in Gatwick airports, London in 2009 and bought Edinburgh airport, Scotland, UK in 2012.

Thank you and God bless you sir.
Language is not static but changes over time, so also is culture and even ethnic grouping!
If you see a version of the Lord's prayer written in 15th century English or original Shakespeare play works ,many of us and even many English people of 2017 can't read them without footnotes or glossaries explaining it in modern tongues.
Many present day Yoruba people don't understand ancient Yoruba languages and many Yoruba youths can't read the Yoruba Bible written less than 200years ago.
If you ask many modern day Yoruba, what are the Yoruba names for prayer and amen respectively, they will say Adura and amin, both of which are wrong but have been adopted from Arabic Language due to long term interaction of the old Oyo empire with muslims from other contemporary West African empires.

alablec:
@Kingzizzy, the problem is that we don't do research again; I have a great background in linguistics and researches in African history, we need to accept reality. Languages do evolve and change overtime, these people were not originally Igbos but if they now accept to be Igbo, fine. The people called Igbo now had different origins but they've accepted to be one just like any other tribe. The British colonial government supported the missionary to imposed Igbo language on these people because the Bible has been translated to Igbo and the Education system then, overtime they assimilated it. In my research among these people, I found out that all the Church officials that are not Britons are mainly Igbo who supported the imposition then.
The Urobos and many groups- Oguta, Onitsha and all those op mentioned traced their origins to Bini, these are not mistake. Yoruba will never claim or reject if they so wished the Apoi, Ogori, Egun and several Borgu, Nupe, etc that use the language or have assimilated nor Hausas claiming the minorities who now bear Hausa names and use no other language but Hausa. Average Ika man would not accept to be Igbo and you must also know that there are pockets of Yoruba and Igala communities in Delta North that have assimilated to their environment, you can't force them but they can accept to be Igbo just the way Apoi has assimilated but their brothers Arogbo understand Yoruba but have not assimilated.

In as much as I want good development in the South east and indeed, all other parts of Nigeria, i don't think South east development commission will bring such development.
As a matter of fact Nigeria should do away with the policy of appeasement, otherwise we will be declaring that agitation, militancy, criminality, terrorism, treason, pirate broadcasting ladden with sedition/ hate speeches ,political black mail and boko haramism are acceptable means to get Federal Government attention in in a particular region.
This will be sending a dangerous signal to other regions for urgent development or upgrading of their own future militants, Boko Haramists and IPOBians

I also think the referendum should be conducted for the Hausa's, Fulanis ,Nupes, Kanuris, Tiv, Idomas and Igalas since some don't want Nigeria.

Politics › Re: Rumours Of Military Coup Spread In Nigeria, Buratai Warns Soldiers by oyatz(m): 2:55am On May 18, 2017
Military coup at this time is a very dangerous and unwise decision.
1) The incumbent administration, no matter its shortcomings, derives its mandate from the people, thus it has legitimacy but inspite of that its still finding it difficult to keep Nigeria one happy united country.
2) Military governments have legitimacy problems but sustain themselves in power through the monopoly of instruments of violence (weapons) and control of flow of information. Anyone who has lived in Nigeria for the past 40 years will know that these are no longer possible in 2017 Nigeria.
3)The period from 1999-2017 represent the longest period of Democratic rule in Nigeria, producing many Nigerians who have tasted POWER as Presidents, Senators, Governors, Legislators,Ambassors and various kinds of political office holders, thus a new crop of ambitious Nigerians have been raised who will not want to leave power for the military boys easily.
Although, these people may not face the military directly but they have amassed stupendous wealth, which if in the hands of disgruntled, embittered and ambitious political class can bring down any government by sponsoring insurgencies in their tribal enclaves.
4) The Arab spring which led to collapses of many authoritarian regimes especially that of Ghadaffi led to the proliferation of dangerous arms which soon found their ways into the hands of uncoordinated non-state combatants. This led to the rise of very dangerous violent groups like ISIS, AQIM, Book Haram that threaten the security of whole nations .This also ensured the supply of weapons to political groups like MEND, Niger delta avengers etc.
5) The Military may seize power but Nigeria will descend into Syrian-styled conflagration with many foreign powers that will want to profit from the ensuring anarchy

You must be a doctor or a clinical personnel. However you ought to know the difference between CORONER inquest( like the one being conducted by the State goverment) and autopsy report.

nelszx:
My brother that's Nigeria for you, the autopsy report wasn't stated but conclusion has been made based on injection combinations and empty vials. That's even if there's any autopsy report in the first place cos if there is, the report doesn't need the presence of the CMD before the judge knows what's there.
What was contained in the autopsy result
Did he die of MI, enlarged organs as a result of the overdose or abuse of the drugs? or was it brain ischaemia?
The CMD sef, I thought the person was arrested they should ask the person what he is since he's neither a doctor nor a nurse so they can know how prosecution will be like

Your post is laced with dangerous ignorance packaged with a false sense of entitlement.
1) Indigenes and States governments of oil producing states in partnership with interested investors have oil prospecting companies which have gotten licences from government and are prospecting for and extracting oil in the Niger delta.
2) oil exploration is a highly technical and capital intensive BUSINESS, mere having oil in your village does not mean the villagers automatically have the wherewithal to go into oil prospecting, exploring and exporting business but they they can partner with those who have the wherewithal ,apply for license and start business.
3) Oil bunkering involve bombing already laid oil pipelines and tapping from the already extracted crude oil. The is tanmout to stealing from the oil companies who have invested heavily to extract the oil (sometimes from depths of the ocean). To make matters worse, the oil bunkers conduct their business in ways that are very risky and pose serious health and hazards to themselves and those living around their sites.
4) Government can help the indigenes of oil producing States by SPECIALLY bringing them into the oil business.
5) Owners and operators of illegal refineries should be identified, registered and sent to India to learn how Modular Refineries operate. On arrival, they can be given loans to build their refineries according to environmental standards and occupational safety.
Crude oil can be allocated to them on credit while they pay back after refining and selling their products with tax exemption for the first 36 months of operation... Gradually militancy and fuel scarcity will fizzle out and our demand for forex will reduce, Naira will appreciate against the dollar with youths being employed.

All this your form and prepare is utter nonsense

[b]
Abrogation (Arabic Naskh) is a topic that is dealt with in the Sciences of the Qur’an. Abrogation is defined as the lifting of a shari`ah ruling because of the evidence of a later shari`ah ruling. Abrogation plays an essential role in the history of religion in the sense that the shari`ah brought by our Prophet Muhammad (Allah bless him and grant him peace) abrogated all previous shari`ahs. But there is also abrogation within Islam as well, when previous rulings are nullified by rulings that come later. A noteworthy example of this is the gradual prohibition of wine. It was first revealed in the Qur’an the prohibition of preforming the prayer while intoxicated: “O you who have believed! Do not approach the prayer while you are intoxicated…” (al-Nisa’, 43). Later, the ruling of this verse was abrogated by a complete prohibition of wine altogether: “O you who have believed! Wine and gambling . . . are of Satan’s handwork, so shun them so that you may be successful. Satan wants but to place between you enmity and hatred with wine and gambling and hinder you from the remembrance of Allah and from the prayer. Will you not then abstain?” (al-Ma’ida, 90-91)

Among the wisdoms of abrogation was bringing ease by introducing rulings that were appropriate for the different states of the Muslims during the times of revelation. When the Prophet (Allah bless him and grant him peace) first brought the religion, it was not easy for people to leave their previous beliefs and traditions. Allah sent the guidance and the rulings step-by-step, with His divine care and concern, gradually purifying and raising the ummah until the religion was complete

If you are arguing like this as a professional, you will hardly win any case.
1) The topic for debate is about NASKH, an Islamic concept of 'Allah revealing a verse of the Quran which abrogate an earlier verse of the same holy Quran'
2) The NASKH has nothing to do with the Bible or Christianity.
3)Argue your case, solely on the evidence provided, not based on extraneous topic/ issue.
4) It is wrong to assume that any critique of the Qur'an must be a 'Christianity vs Islam' comparison/ contest

Juvenile Politicians wrongly assume that tribal loyalty and regional affiliation are the only factors to be considered when voting in a presidential election and the worse is that they want every one to reason and act like that!
Democracy is a journey, not a destination. Different peoples with varing interests/ideas vote for their candidates.
In my family, we have APC and PDP chieftains. Two of my brothers contested on the platforms of both patties(PDP in Osun and APC in Lagos) and we benefit from both.
Its a free world,so live and let us live.

LordAdam16:
Oga, a Yoruba man was Buhari's VP candidate in 2011. Even Ribadu's VP candidate in 2011 was a Yoruba. Who won that election?

You clearly did not read my text. I'll summarize it for you.

Yorubas have two dominant blocks voting for the two dominant parties. Then a minority block that swings the vote to the more popular candidate.

That is why you guys are always on the winning side and your elite are as fluid as water when picking sides. So if you say Yorubas don't hate GEJ, and I say Yorubas hate GEJ, both of us are right. 3 out of 5 Yoruba people hate GEJ but it is a democracy. Majority carry the day.

2015 was the chance for Yoruba to side overwhelmingly with the other two Southern regions to deliver the dieing blow to the Northern hegemony and prove to them that we are all equal in Nigeria. But you guys scuttled it for a mere VP position. The same position the North gave you guys twice in 2011 and refused.

Now look at how many Southerners and Northern Christians have died for your mistakes since 2015. Agatu, Plateau, Nasarawa, Nimbo, Southern Kaduna. Even two preachers from the same church as the VP were butchered, one in the same capital city as him and in broad day light, with their killers roaming the streets as we speak. In the last 3 weeks, Fulani herdsmen have killed 5 policemen in my home state in the same locality that made it to the news. Tens of innocent farmers have been butchered. There are communities in my state where Fulani herdsmen tax farmers before they can farm on their farmland. Helicopters bring in supplies for the urchins. All of this with zero replies, no condemnation from the bigot and the so-called spineless Pastor VP because they are his people. A crisis happened in Ife and only Ife people were moved to ABJ, they are still there as we speak.

Would this foolish grazing land-grabbing bill had reared its head under GEJ and a united south calling the shots?

What exactly made 2015 the most important year in Nigerian history to go for a VP position, when all permutations already looked set for a NW/SW joint ticket in 2019 if Jonathan had his way? You guys already had your 8 uninterrupted years, so why the sudden eagerness to return to the top?

The obvious southern disunity in 2015 was a joy for the North because 2011 scared them shitl*ss. If 2015 had been a repeat of 2011, all this rubbish by Northern cabal would have been canned going forward. Now we are back where we started, and all of a sudden you want us to get together, barely two years after and with the consequences of your actions staring us right in the face, as one big happy family after telling us to our face to f*ck off. The audacity you guys have is insulting.

We are not interested. Whether you guys love or hate GEJ is irrelevant. Actions speak louder than words and we really don't care. Nothing will happen to GEJ in Nigeria and the SS will continue to hold the country to ransom without resistance. Southern Unity died in 2015, and the SW did the burial.

There are over 200 tribes in Nigeria, why do you think anyone that doesnt support Biafra must be a Yoruba man? This is a very common misconception on Nairaland.

Most Yoruba youth don't even know what Biafra is, few that know about it equate Biafra to the civil war (commonly called Ogun Ojukwu), some have superficial idea of Biafra, thinking Biafra is an Igbo cultural organization.
Only Yorubas above 40 years know about Biafra
