monfizzy:It is very possible to earn £60,000 per year doing tech jobs. There are people that earn £1,000/day. The question is out of the multitude of job seekers in the UK and US, why would employers employ someone based in Nigeria to do a tech job based in the UK/US? There are work visa issues to sort out, how does the person pay tax? Which bank account do they receive the salary in e.t.c. Maybe they are consultants working independently and not employees. Or they could be be employed locally to work in Nigerian subsidiaries but payed in foreign currency. Or they have some very specialist skills. What kind of tech roles are they in? At the end of the day na still demsay unless you have seen the money go into their account with your own eyes. |
engrrichie92:I think you are just making it worse. What kind of techie advises an individual whose background they dont know to 'look through...pick one' . Is it gambling, miniminimanimo or kalokalo? You should be telling the person to consider what their background is. Are they technically minded? Any exposure to programming? Their people skills, knowledge of SDLC e.t.c. It is only after that that a person can make a holistic decision about what area in 'tech' they'd like to go into. |
engrrichie92:Tell us the job role and the industry and I will give you average, median and top salaries. I am in the tech industry in the UK so dont come here and bullshit people. There are a million Asians here wey get brain die and can do magic in tech with their eyes closed but they dont get this kind of pay on a regular. These guys dont need sponsorship visa o. Na you wey dey Lagos, wey dem dey suspicious of na him dem go offer job of £400/day just like that? I am not saying it is not possible but you'd have to be in a very niche area and have skills that are very hard to come by. Your after tax yarn just gave it all away... You think say you be footballer? |
kowalsky:Look at this broke fool in Okokomaiko saying £4000/month is base salary. £48,000 a year in a country where the average salary is £25,000. Have you seen an airport before? Does anyone if your family members in Europe earn even half that amount? |
EgunMogaji2:Nope... If you have the appropriate visa for Nigeria in your second country passport or the 2nd country passport was issued in Nigeria there is no requirement for you to have a Nigerian passport. |
perambulator:This is it. Be prepared to grease some palms. If the British passport was issued in Lagos then they you'd have been able to stand your ground but as it is UK issued, roja the immigration ppl and let your child go |
therajah:He said after tax i.e. taxman go collect £32,000 inside the £80K If me I see Uber job that will pay me £52k before tax, I go quit my day job. In this same London there are Nigerians earning £500/day as contractors mostly in the IT sector, Business Analysts, Test Engineers, Project Managers e.t.c. so it is possible to live well above average too |
damola1:na lie him dey lie! £52k per year? I dagger belle! |
N1.5m every month is almost £1.9K. To earn that here after tax and NI you'd need to earn about £29,000 a year which is well above the £25,000 avg annual salary Lets assume you get a job that pays that much in London these will be your basic average monthly outgoings Room: £600 (includes broadband, council tax, tv licence) Travel: £260 (z1-6) Phone: £20 Food: £240 Misc: £100 Thats a total of £1,220. You save £650 to £700 every month. If you dont have children, there will never be better time to make the move cause once children are involved na double wahala. If you have a proper plan go for it but if na just dreams and dem say, continue making your money in Nigeria for now until things settle down (22 years exprience in the game) |
Starboytwo:Ezitely. Even broke ass mofo like me dey pay €700/month (2 pikin) |
this is fake na. Are Nigerian youth so gullible? They most likely are, thats why scams like MMM thrive in the country |
look for a dead cheque book, prefearbly one stolen during an armed robbery or murder and pay a cheque of N17,834,700.00 into her account. Let her sort the rest out with her bank and NPF. |
chikason22:https://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/11/fifa-u-17-world-cup-president-buhari-speaks-with-eaglets/amp/ Buhari called the Eaglets in 2015 and they won. |
AJOBI77:It was written in plain English. Can you read and comprehend? |
pquaver:You read my mind. They known they are chatting nonsense but they just dont want to admit that they are sad their terrorist friends were killed |
So many sad children of hate on this thread. You can tell that they are sad at this victory and would have rather Nigerian Army soldiers were killed. You can tell by their dumb posts like why cant the army take it to them, why are the army always on the defensive. Daft children of hate that do not understand what real life is. The US at a point had over 100,000 soldiers in Afghanistan and they got attacked on a daily basis over 20 years. Do you think there were mu.mus like you in the US asking why the US army havent wiped out the Taliban. God bless the galant soldiers of the NA |

updatechange:Either that or pay N54.9B in compensation. (average price of a plot of land N100M). Even with a 50% discount thats still N27B. LASG don enter one chance. It will be better to negotiate with the the Adeyiga camp cah if the Supreme court order is effected and the current land owners are dispossessed of their properties, the claim by the dispossessed owners against LASG will be around double at circa N100B. (Average price of a house in Magodo is N150m) |
ssogundele:Exactly. The judgement was since 1993 o!. The only way they can compensate the landlords association appropriately is to give them the cash equivalent of 549 plots in Magodo at today's prices 549 plots x N75M which is about N42B |
BMathew:LASG is being mischievous. Judgment specifically said to allocate the landlords association, 549 plots in Magodo but LASG are offering them plots in faraway places like Badagry and Ibeju Lekki. |

TheSourcerer:This looks like an image from a Streetview car |
TheSourcerer:Some of these stories are misrepresentations or outright false. The one about the 'boy' falling out of the plane is the least believable. This dude in this pic died 21 November and this pic was taken on 15 November. How is that moments later? Which plane was blown to bits over the Pacific in 2011? |
GenerationNext:Me that I love Buhari. My issue here is with the fake news format the story was written. No sources, no leaked letters, no comment from Air Peace, just straight 'dem say' vibes. I will like to assume that at all, at all, your brain must be functioning at minimum 50% capacity. If so, you sef think am na, How can you apply for 3 slots at Sharjah and be given 7 slots at DXB. Thats like going to a fast food spot and paying for 3 meatpies but your are given 7 Jollof rice with asun and snail. |
Maxymilliano:I was wondering too o. The story even claims it is 7 slots (inferring daily) at DXB. This is probably fake news as there are no sources. Nigerian journalism is dead. |
I am not into telecoms but I just wonder where and how these telcos are going to recoup the money spent on these licenses. 5G is really just a value added service and not revolutionary (yet) as claimed or sold The telcos will still have the same subscribers and the same growth rate, maybe a little higher but nothing to justify the high fees. 5G will be a decent revenue earner for them if it can provide constant high speed internet which can replace home broadband. If the anecdotal evidence from my friends and I in the western capital city I am based in is anything to go by, then I cant see that happening anytime soon. So can anyone in the know educate me? Please dont tell me of all the nice things 5G will do in the future, tell me what it can do in the medium term (next 5yrs) |
Owing him for a couple (2) of months but you cleared 5 months. So you paid him in advance ![]() Is there a severance package that must be honoured? |
On his way out. Colon cancer is usually detected very late and I suspect It would have spread to other organs in an 81yr old. |
