saalma: Must everything be on nairaland? Is it that if you don't start a thread, no matter how stu.pi.d u will die, abi how?Take a look at the front page. There is no criteria for topics as long as they are not indescent. Its a matter of interest. Like a library, not every book has to be read by everyone. Doesn't catch your fancy simply ignore it but it is wise to read and appreciate as much material as you can. You never know. |
When we cannot even properly attend one. |
Ekans: You cant beat a man in his own game unless?.Nice one mister Bean and is he by any chance related to Arsen Wenger? No, but he has an affinity for France and the French. |
I missed it. Totally fagged out yesterday. Hope I can watch it again. He's a class act. Left to his device he would have brought the arena down, quite literaly. |
The very reason why a corruption free society will remain a mirage for generations to come. Compromise everywhere. No one can hold exacting standards over any length of time. There is always something. |
Corruption fighting back. Nothing strange here. By these allegations they further indict themselves. |
mikolo80: GUNS GUNS WE NEED GUNS.BIG ONESYeah, yeah, enshrined in our constitution like the States and then poof goes our security challenges. Not a good idea. |
loma: If you can think outside the box, you can eat outside of a pot!Is this the Loma I know. Where have you been. |
This polarization of politics on this forum is confirmed. Its now for or against. As far as opinions are concerned credibility continues its death plunge. |
NovusHomo: Those of us who are members of the Nigerian diaspora are mostly surprised at how compliant people are at home. You do not ask for an account of how government revenues are spent; you do not demand for hospitals, roads, electricity, new school buildings (or at the least, rehabilitation of the old), no water, and the list goes on and on. Billions of $s are stolen everyday and not a sound is made by you, Its unbelievable! What kills me is that you ask us to give you money: the children are sick, you call us; school fees, you call us, some would even ask you to help their son who is getting married, regardless that he has no job. Somehow you still build houses and you ask us to help with the gate or something else, yet you don't think we need to do the same for ourselves. Its about time people stood up for their rights. I have a suggestion, why dont you give these legislator's wives a "rousing" welcome reception at Murtala Mohammed Airport. How about protesting in front of the Oyo Assemby? But then you wont so long as there is Western Union. Guess what? That is about to stop because we are so fed up with your lack of interest in calling your rulers to order only to have us refund your money that they keep stealing. For in essence that is what you make us do.Its different here. Over there the police will calmly usher you away. Back home you can just imagine what the police will do to you thoughtless of party sponsored thugs. Remember the Lekki tollgate protest. |
saxywale: I wished they were stoned. She even has the audacity to say they went for an hotel room that cost 75pounds and its public funds well spent. Rubbish. And she said those protesting were trying to pull a good thing down. Can you imagine. The attitude of the average Nigerian servant to public office is just base. |
Those with a rudimentary knowledge of physics will tell you that man cannot move that cycle. |
emmysenior: Obama once said that bokoharam insurgency is as a result of poor infrastructure and poverty plus corruption, in this case, what could possibly be the root cause of this?World class infrastructure that enables people acquire hefty firepower, too much wealth that leads to boredom and too much honesty that evades soul searching. Extremes are bad. |
miteolu: NO ALARM DURING WIDE PROFIT MARGIN WHY BROADCASTING LOSSTo take the steam out of speculation. |
playboy19: Sir, do you live in that country, Nigeria? Have you ever invested $10,000 and above in that country? If you answer yes to either of these questions, then you are a risk taker.Someone's thinking here. Government owned company, national cash cow, corrupt legacy, questionable management, political pawn, shady balance sheet, undisclosed foreign/domestic debts, platform for north/south resource struggle, unforseeble community, local and foreign pending litigations. Man, I don't know of any deal that has as many red flags as this. The NNPC as is currently structured is not a marketable. That car needs serious garage time. It may be a Rolls or Lambo but if it doesn't start and runs..... And please don't tell me, if big men are buying it must be a good deal if you don't share the same source and the same destiny. |
PDP has to go!!! No other party could posibly be worse than this party. Give me any party besides PDP and I'd be fine. At this pointI'll even vote for APGA candidate if it will result to the ouster of PDP in 2015. Some of our past leaders deserve to be lined up and dealt with in an unflattering manner.
All parties/politicians do it. Tinubu is doing his own in Lagos and beyond. You only need to move close to the RE industry to get details. |
tessyade: Your calculation is slightly wrong. The report gave 2,500 hectares not 25,000 hectares (used in your calculation) but all the same thats too much.In addition 6 plots approximately make an acre not a hectre (15 plots) so his estimate should be something closer to 37,500 residential plots of land. Anyway I don't think that will faze Baba. Probably has more than that in Ogun state already and definitely ten to twenty times more than that all over Nigeria. He's one hell of a land freak. Perhaps due to his agri passions. |
alaoeri: Comedy half hour.I tell you. Perhaps next time it will be, kneel down in the sun and close your eyes or raise one leg and touch your nose. Unorthodox people, unorthodox nation. |
dedeike: Nice one bro. PDP remains the largest and only true political party in Nigeria. ACN is a company. CPC is a mob. ANPP is a shadow of itself. Labour party is a struggle.Funny man. |
daywatcher: okay okay, she is not corrupt..but why was she chopping 'classical snails' with public fundsAsk me. Racking up stratospheric bills in luxury hotels in clear breach of regulations. Why won't her staff want the same. Please spare me the prudence stuff. She admitted herself to be in breach but like most things in this part of the world mechanics must of necessity be clad in filthy garbs so we accept. Let her get back to work and turn the Capital market around. That's all we ask. |
Billyonaire: Nasir El-Rufai @elrufaiOkay, I've seen it. Good for him. These are the kinds of people, so called future leaders that a large group continues to peddle as immune to corruption while they themselves know the agenda they have. |
PapaBrowne: The fights might not be taken personal to them, however every time they fight people die in numbers. To think Buhari is dining with Sambo(Jonathan's VP) who he claims stole his vote in 2011. It shows something, the person they hate is Jonathan not the PDP or the Government. What did he say? |
free2ryhme: 50k per playerSo how much should an MRI investigation cost. |
lagerwhenindoubt: BRF you try - arrangee performance. i take that road everyday and I still see Military and Private Cars on the BRT lane, some LASTMA big guns also take the BRT lane getting a full five-finger salute from LASTMA officersSo good leadership doesn't always translate to a cool society. Interesting. |
careytommy: I hope he got of before he got offHmm. If not it will be tough for forensics to prove the story in a court of law. |
MacLovington: You may think it's fake.Quite agree. It happens quite frequently in various colorations. Foreign studies, business investment, connections and so on. My thoughts are that if no agreement was reached at the outset and no promises made by the recepient, the offerings are nothing more than a gift and are such non taxable. So the moral of the story is: If you want to marry tomorrow, get her to sign today. However if as in this case she was a minor at the outset then the problems are compounded. That's why these types of acts don't sit well with me because they can neither be called philantrophy nor investment. More akin to slavery. |
sylve11: So much of our Aviation industry needs to learn from this.Sure. They'd be biting their fingers in regret. Damn, how did we miss this cheapo. |
Like I said... Their weapons are top grade.. RPGs dont sell for the price of coke.. Soon they will obtain Mortars and then we are in real trouble..
Naa. Iran will soon start exporting weapons grade plut. and of course another mystery container will turn up at the ports. That my pal is the koko. |
namfav: i hope you are not saying that the road which you walk is private propertyYou know what is right. Just do it. If someone's farm is a road then the Fulani cow can be treated like the equally destructive bushmeat which is trapped and eaten. As a potential leader of this country if you were placed in a position of authority will you sanction this. |
Yaya6: The Fulani people are naturally rebellious especially on matters relating to thier cows. The govt should come out with a law that will guide the movement of animals such as cows in the country cos this same thing is experience by farmers in other state but this case just happened to be publicized. Something need to be be done urgently about the cattle drovers before it turned into another menace. That's what I'm saying. Most aspects of our existence as a people of this country are not covered sufficiently by appropriate laws leading to these kinds of things. Our lawmakers should be proactive in their duties. They are the custodians of the 'state of the union' as it were. Like someone said there are Fulani in the House..Why can't they be engaged now so that we know what the issues are and how to tackle them before they avalanche into full scale confrontation aka BH. |
namfav: someone from enugu trying to make a living elsewhere is no different a herdsmen trying to make a living in enugu, stop being stoopidWhen you enter a farm that is tresspass because its private property. For the farmer that is his office. That is his workshop. When you destroy his crops, that is sabotage. Heck, even the government will pay compensation for that. Which laws give the fulani free ranging anywhere they like. National Assembly wake up now before another crises front is permanently opened. |
Of course. Why would the telecos present him the true situation of their finances if it is for purposes of establishing liabilities. Which non plc agrees he's making profit to the tax man. |

? Wonders sha never end! inflating the cost .. una no go kill people for this country .. Corruption everywhere.. Even MRI testing ...
