Do not blame suicide victims, they are braver than you. If you're brave commit suicide let me see. I remember when I was a Muslim (for 2 months only) during the Ramadan, I used my last card about 7k to make a very powerful meal. The room was small so I couldn't cook inside, I had to bring the stove out. While the meal was almost done a goat, not the Lionel Messi kind of goat o grin grin came from nowhere and messed up with the food. I chased the goat for 45 minutes, and when I realised I couldn't catch it I became depressed and nearly died. I was like ya Allahu why did you do this to me? cry cry cry cry

How many times do you laugh watching their movies?
Lol... Maybe you only watching action genres. They too act realities and comedy.

See Adam Sandler movies.

What annoyed me most was a yoruba movie where a medical doctor advised a patient's relative to go and seek spiritual solution to a medical issue.
Relax bro... It does happen... I know medical doctors that are fetish while I know some who do pray with their patients in serious cases such as in surgery and problems that defy understanding.

The fact that we are in same professions with colleagues doesn't mean we're same in ideologies, thinking and experiences.

So, it's not every medical doctor that stubbornly sticks to science when perplexed over a medical case.

Nigeria movie?

Last I watched were: "Saworo Ide ' and " Ti Oluwa ni Ile' ( By Baba Wande) in the early 90s

I find most Nigerian movies tasteless, no content, poor audio/video, suspenseless, unoriginal, constant code-mixing, , (mixing Yoruba/Igbo with English,), repetitive, predictable, and extremely shallow acting..

Proudly Badged- Telemundo Fan!
Lol... Go and look for Ogidan parts 1 and 2 starring Hanks Anuku, Ernest Asuzu, Lanre Balogun, Lilian Bach etc.

Twas made in mid 2000 's and I love the movie.

Nigerians don't have to watch Nolywiid movies, other Africans watch them a lot and are fine with it.

Most Nigerians are spoilt for choice, hence their ridiculous tastes at times

There are good and bad movies in every movie industry. I have seen Hollywood movies where they had gaffes as well.

Anyway, I watch Nollywood movies because of the relatability. Many of the stories are the realities of a lot of Nigerians, unlike watching Hollywood, whose stories I can't relate to half the time.

You just need to sieve the chaff from the wheat. There are a lot of great Nollywood movies, once you skip Ugezu J. Ugezu and anything that has unfamiliar faces like Destiny Etiko, you will find great movies.
Lol.... Are you saying that Ugezu makes wack movies? Na veteran director o.. Mostly in igbo traditional movies though cheesy but I no dey like his movies much sha grin

And how is Destiny Etiko unfamiliar?

I never spoken to her after the incident, but she did everything she could to regain my attention. Sometimes she would come to our technical drawing class several times even though she doesn't study the course just to make me see her. I guess she was suprised at my behaviour. I didn't act like a sad dude walking head down and unhappy about his crush's rejection. I went about my daily routine with peace of mind as if nothing happen. I myself was suprised at the way I recovered my composure and confidence.
There was a time she came and sat right next me in Science Lab after lectures when I was busy copying lecture notes. She threw glances at me from time to time hoping I will strike a conversation with her but I said nothing. I acted like someone so engrossed with his notes. But I was amazed at her behaviour. Here is someone I thought will never want to see my face again coming over and sitting right next to me? What's she up to? More drama? I was afraid. I was not ready to be yell at again.
I still had feelings for her at that time but that yelling episode in class made me determined not to make any more move and disgrace myself.
So I lost interest in becoming friends with her and went about my school bussiness.
There were several incidents between us but I'll not be able to write them here. As time went by, we both went our seperate ways and never saw each other again till date.
An enjoyable read. Thanks for taking the time to complete it.

I have seen a mother ape risk her life to save her baby's life from the bullet of my uncle who is a hunter. I quietly whispered to him not to shoot her. If an ape could be so motherly not to abandon her baby, why can't a human do more?. Again look at the language you used "bloody kids" - so unwomanly.
Don't mind her. Some of them don't know what's happening to them. They're having the engines of their soul getting more corrupt day by day. Perilous time syndrome - - lovers of one's self.

''Leave me alone joor!'' It was so loud everyone turned looking to see whatsup. With seas of eyes staring at me, I manage to carry bagpack and walk out of the class.
I never knew sadness and shame until that day. I was so down that I lost the zeal to eat, even though I was seriously hungry.
That incident was the last time I ever approached a girl till date.
Every time I remember the incident, I smile to myself, what a novice I was. But that is life.
Sorry bro... Was that all, so you too never spoke since then or your paths didn't cross. I love your story, please finish it.

To cut a long story short, the girl of my "wet-dreams" came sauntering out in all her innocent beauty with some handsome tall dude. They both walked right past me into a car parked across the street.

And while walking towards the car, she uttered the sentence that would change my life forever.

She said, "give the package to my mum", and they zoomed off.

There I was standing at the gate like Charlie Chaplin feeling like an idiot, and her mum at the balcony trying unsuccessfully not to laugh out loud.

I swore to never try that nonsense again.

Till date.

End.

am from Benin and by God grace am planning a dna ancestral test in the nearest future.i would like to know the real truth between the yorubas and the Benins, since my father's family claimed to be one of the chiefs that escorted the prince to ile ife and escorted his son back to Benin if that story was true they would have definitely married yoruba women and brought them to Benin and I would like to uncover the truth through DNA test because in my father's village they speak like the yorubas and the Benins mixed together but they are recognised as binis
I saw a history on opera news which I didn't save, but meanwhile you can start from this link cos they're 99% the same. wink

May truly be the chemical used in fishing according to the write up... Not that we know about it being contagious or source clearly known...

However, the source here is tentative and speculative though. We hope it's ignorance from chemical used in fishing. And on the other hand, there should be Crack down against the use of such fishing methods.

Bad new am still struggling with this line

A corp member like her who had received quasi-military training should be able to beat up or fight dirty with the rapist. Did she just lay down under him to watch being raped or what? Maybe broken agreement between them.

Upon all the trouser, inner short and legins the ladies are wearing this days, I still wonder how they get raped.
Oga, rape isn't always by violent removal or tearing of clothes and undies. Many rapes are smooth by the use of spiking drinks with drugs which knocks the female into unconscious or very weak state ;hence, rape takes place.
