I have been dating this guy for 8 years now. My relationship with him started since my university school days.

Ever since we graduated and started working, I have been expecting him to propose to me, which he didn't.

When I confronted him, he said he needs a tangible source of income first before he will marry me.

His current salary is 60k, yet he doesn't want us to go into marriage now.

I personal told him that we can manage what we have and plan our life together since I'm also working. But he said no, his reason is that he doesn't want us to suffer.

My problem is this:
1. Time is not on my side
2. He want to make millions before he can marry me, what if it takes more years to do that?
3. I'm ready and he is not ready.
Please I need advise. I don't know what to do.

Nigerian Police is useless.. if not, the husband should be thoroughly investigated.. he is a prime suspect.
This looks like a planned act.. The case of a man getting rid of his wife and children for whatever reasons.

Let the wife's family go underground to make findings... I won't be surprised to read "Man who lost wife and children in Jos fire incident marries late wife's best friend(with pregnancy sef)" in few months.

I was very clear about receiving gifts.

I didn't make demands and didn't accept gifts.

That was my pay 17 years ago and it was hardly enough to cater to my own needs. How does a man take care of a wife and kids on that amount? It is impossible except they grow their own food.

Some families survive on less.

I can't pay him surprise visits because I don't know exactly where he stays. I've never visited him before. He lives in Lagos and I live in Abuja. All I know is that he stays somewhere in Lekki.

He isn't responding to any of my calls and texts.

I tried telling my boss that I had an engagement on Saturday but he refused because I had already taken two days off a week before due to ill health, and the project required my specialty. No one else at the office had the skill set to handle the project like I could and there was a deadline.
