@saphiere

IMO; Pregnancy should be considered as one of the most risky work on Earth. And the carrier should be placed on salary with nothing less that $5000 a week.

@me
Hahahaha.....who will pay the salary? Is the woman going to refund when she starts going for omugwo? Will she start to refund when she starts harvesting from the children?

Women, women, women huh

@ImaIma1

It's understandable that women need men. But it's also the other way round. Men also get lonely in their old age. So let's not make it gender based.

What about a woman who has stayed with a man and had a terrible experience and had to run for her life. Won't such a woman prefer to be alone and safe than to be married and in bondage?

Also, a woman who loses her husband when she's 50/60 and goes on to live alone till about 80. Will you ask her to remarry because she needs a man?

Having a man is great but I don't think it is the only way. Let's learn to respect the decisions of those that choose not to have for whatever reasons best known to them.

I have a family, doesn't mean I'll look down on those who don't. Everyone has their issues and are managing their lives.

@me
You are right in your assertion. I'm not singling out women. My comment was based on the fact that the topic focused on female.

The same is applicable to the male. All those that want baby mama now and no wife at old age they will need one.

Some ladies I know passed through terrible experiences in the hands of men. So they get scared anytime any male comes near them.

However everyone is free to live his/her life. No condemnation.

Only the Shareholders can sue them they have no responsibility towards the Public. The introductory paragraph of the Auditor's Report clearly states those who the Report belong !!

It's part of mechanism of limiting auditor's liabilities such that no every Tom, dick a Harry will be suing Auditor's up and down due to error in investment decisions as a result of reliance on the Audited Financial Statement.

@me
No sir. The auditor has fiduciary duty to any member of the public who places reliance on the auditor's report of the financial statement of an entity.

His report is to the members of the company because they engaged him but he owes duty of care to the user of the financial statement who places reliance on his opinion on the statement.

Men are more likely to commit crime against their fellow men but continue to scream that women are their own worst enemies!

Keep deceiving yourselves with the type of love men show their fellow men.

@me
Totally agree.

@JESHAL

Wrong the biggest predicator of a woman's happiness is having a family with children, statistically speaking women who are high earners, unmarried, childless report the highest rate of unhappiness in America the most liberal society in the world where women are the most free.

@me
A law lecturer once said that deep down in the mind of most policemen, they want to be lawyer.

Deep down in the mind of high flying women, they need men around them no matter how liberal the relationship. When they have none, sometimes an issue or event comes up that makes them need men around them.

At old age those of them without children feel lost no matter their achievements.

I'm not trying to hurt any female. Indeed I have some of them as friends here (@greenie77, ImaIma1 etc.).

Because of my call, I'm privileged to have some of them around me. They know that I can't do any harm (I'm a retired general anyway). Some of them because of some sad experiences avoid men.

But sometimes too they need a trusted male to talk to. If they trust you they empty themselves before you. In some of their personal transactions they need you to be part of the discussion to boost their image.

Forget about the trending on the social media. One told my wife that she should not be worried if she sees me discussing with her. That what she can never do with me is to be naked. That she's ready to share any secret with me because she trusts me.

They need men no matter how strong they are. Some of our men have greatly disappointed them and they fear any male around them.
Family › Re: My Younger Sister No Longer Want To Practice Her Faith.... by Vision101(m): 12:46am On Sep 25, 2021
She has seen the light. Leave her alone. Saul thought he was doing the best being fervent in Judaism and persecuting Christians.

Jesus showed him who he was - a blind man by blinding him. His eyes were opened by the light of the gospel. First his name changed. Secondly he got possessed by the light of the gospel. He went ahead to turn the world upsidedown.

You can never know how far your sister will go in her new faith. Leave her alone.

@KRSWon

"The beginning"?

These pastors and healers have gotten rich off of the preaching and healing Jesus provided for free, while their parishioners remain in poverty.

Was that something the prophets and early Apostles did? Were the early Apostles accused of doing such?[/quote]@me
The early apostles were well taken care of by the early Christians. Paul even said that there was nothing wrong in that. Read the book of Acts and other Pauline epistles. What is wrong is when it becomes the central focus and when it becomes manipulative.

Shallow thinking pastors. I have one question for you, If she doesn't change, can you continue with such for the next say 3, 5, 10 years. There lies your answer

@me
Yeah...if the scriptures must be followed, you are not allowed to put away. That's why one of hardest prayers a person must pray is for God to give him/her the true bone of his/her bone and the flesh of his/her flesh.

We warn that marriage must only be consummated within the bounds of true Christianity. Fleshly desires and considerations must not be the influence.

I must confess that even in the church today so many marriages didn't follow this rule and they are in trouble. Pastors are overburdened with challenges in even old marriages.
Family › Re: Smoking. ( A Sign Of Irresponsibility? by Vision101(m): 12:07am On Sep 21, 2021
Just a bad habit. Irresponsible? Yes and No.

Yes: like any other habit, some smoke anywhere, anyhow and anything. They stink.

No: there are people that smoke and you will hardly know unless you are close to them. They take care of their teeth, use perfume, don't smoke in public etc.

Health issue: their business. Habits don't think of effect.
Family › Re: Is Marriage For Me? by Vision101(m): 11:58pm On Sep 20, 2021
If the op must get married he needs:

Someone who is not exactly like him. If the person is exactly like him, they will all drive towards one direction.

If the person is too far from his nature there will be so much problem as the character traits will not align.

The person has to be middle of his nature and his opposite so that the character traits can balance.

Doesnt Nigerians have companies that can carry out independent audits? Well, the Nigerian factor would mess up everything. They fit carry style yahoo the whole bank accounts in the name of audit. ;

@me
These are world renowned firms. The figures of the banks are used all over the world. The assurance of truth is rested on the auditor's certification.

If you take a decision based on the figures and it comes out wrong as a result of manipulation, you can sue them.

It's not everything that the Nigerian factor apply.

las las, the owners of these banks being audited have their cut in those huge amounts. It's all window dressing.

@me
The auditor has fiduciary duty. So he can't trade it away for bribe. The auditors are appointed at the AGM. Due process must be followed to sack them.

Their certification is what makes the banks' figures to be accepted all over the world.

All efforts that women put in is to attract fame and men of same or higher class.

A man that is high up can go down and pick a woman BUT a woman that is high up will not go down and pick a man expect she is looking for a tool.
Career › Re: Discrimination Because Of The Kind Of University Attended. by Vision101(m): 12:07am On Sep 18, 2021
@FreeStuffsNG
@OP.
Since you want a sincere response, please don't let anyone decieve you o, the calibre of university you attend matters. It's not only considered in Nigeria, it's done all over the world. In some countries and even here in Nigeria, even the calibre of Secondary school you attend matters too.

While it is true that in reality, we can't all attend high calibre universities but for university education, in particular, do not settle for less . If you have what it takes to attend high calibre university, please go for it. Those attending and finishing from those universities do not have two heads while some folks did not make those universities because of poor preparation and some of the kind of low quality advice you are being given here.

I always advice that in Nigeria, work very hard to attend and graduate from the the first generation universities of UNILAG, UNN, OAU, ABU and UI. In Nigeria, it is these 5 universities and the others. Shikena!

Just by reminder, just look at the array of alumni UNILAG is parading in this picture in 2021. 4 out of 6 governors in the SW are from a single university; University of Lagos (UNILAG) and someone is suggesting to you that it's a fluke? 3 governors from the SS attended UI( Edo, Delta & Cross Rivers) and one governor finished from UNILAG( Akwa Ibom). And even the Governor of Anambra state is an alumnus of UNILAG!

I know organizations that hire from only those 5 and most of them are leaders in their industries. Top consultancy firms particularly get talents from these universities. Have you not wondered why the best graduating student in UNILAG this year was already in Shell?

If you can, please attend only among those 5 but if you can't for first degree, attend them for second degree. By the time you graduate from any of these 5, you will know the difference. Those who didn't attend those 5 high calibre universities can't advice you that it doesn't matter. They want you to settle for less.

@me
Very correct. Even abroad the first thing to check is rating. Don't attend schools that employers will be asking you: where is this one.

All schools are not school because some are more school than the others. Even in heaven there is rank.

Family › Re: Why Do Many Nigerians No Longer Use Bicycle As Means Of Transportation by Vision101(m): 3:26am On Sep 16, 2021
This is one of the flaws of our society. The petrodollar made us to equate ourselves with the West overnight. Everything in our lifestyle was designed to look like them. Meanwhile we were not productive.

Asians and Eastern Europe maintained their conservative lifestyle. The roads were designed to accommodate bicycles and motorcycles. Today they are richer than us but there are still provisions for their old lifestyle.

While India and China had tricycle and bicycle aplenty inspite of their advancement, it was poverty that wiped our senses that made us to remember them. Our roads had no provision for them abinitio.

We need a rethink.
