I laugh in Swahili for all these men here ranting and condemning early marriage. Ladies come and see them and laugh. They have turned the story. Will these men here stop bleeping until they get married? Continue to be a bachelor for life believing that you can get married at 70 and start having children. Congrats baba 70. Is either you marry early and struggle while your bones are strong to train your children so that before your late 60s you are not training any child or you marry late but you must have made so much wealth so that while you are weak you have strong stock of wealth. Certainly your productivity will not be high as you advance towards 70. You will know what you have missed when you start paying primary school fees at late 60s with average income. The only advice is that if you marry early with low income don't have many children. One or two will be ok. For those that want to be baba 70 with primary school bills I will say congrats. I responded to a posting earlier this month. Check my choice. Check what I'm enjoying now. @Saintmary come and educate them. |
@BlackPantherxXx When Coronavirus pandemic was coming... none of you Pastors predicted it. Some even foolishly predicted the end of the pandemic as within a few months. We all know Nigeria might not last beyond 2023. @me Check Pastor adeboye's prophecy for the year 2020. It was released January 2020. |
Some drugs have not been taken. |
You must do the introduction depending on where you are marrying from. Explain to your fiancée's family that you want every process to be low-key. Explain to your mum on the reason you want it so. Threaten her that she either supports your plan or you remain a bachelor. Plead with your fiancée's family that you want all the customary processes to be done the same day so let them give you the list. Hence you said that she is a good Christian, get her pastor involved. |
@Saintmary Counseling only one party in a marriage does little good. @me Perfect. You scored 150℅ |
Correct woman. I fully support her. The man must seal back what he opened and stand up what he fell. Alternatively let him pay for damages. Let her demand millions. You can't damage one of Eve's daughters and you want to abandon her and go and damage another one. Daughters of Eve come and support me. |
@ImaIma1 Bottom line...marry a good woman. Two wives with issues will quicken his death. My father's very close friend and colleague for donkey years confided in my dad that the greatest mistake he ever made was marrying two wives. They all lived in the same house peacefully, but he still regretted it for whatever reason. @me Big gbam.... Where have you been? I have not read your comments for awhile. I have no way to ask after your well being. I thought maybe oga has done the good work again. Welcome |
What is in sex? I can't understand. |
If you ask me whom will I ask? |
When people are thinking marriage, careful and observant courtship is important. Avoid sex and emotions so that your eyes will not be covered by them. Watch out for red flags, compatibility traits etc. While no human is perfect, watch out for things that you can't coupe with. You are in it, you are in it. Report her attitude to a trusted and respected friend, relation or spiritual leader. |
Everyone here has given this guy enough. I can't add more. |
Some men get heart though. Thank God for me. |
I have no expertise in this. Sorry |
Baby and father marriage |
I have my issues with the moral standard of this lady. Regarding her choice....guy A and B scored F. Let her start afresh but must be more circumspect. |
It's sweet to read the Igbo language conversation of Mercychen and mariangeles. Umu nwanyi.... I hope I got it right |
Don't attempt to borrow for a wedding. Discuss with your fiancée and in-laws. Scale down the budget to what is affordable and not what is required. Nigerians and their unnecessary show-off. I once had a colleague who was a general manager. The wife is an accountant that worked in Citibank. They fixed their wedding on a weekday. No invite card. Just called some friends. They lived at ilupeju in a duplex. We closed from work, drove down to their house. The wife and her friends served us. The husband brought out his home theatre to the lawn in the compound. We ate, drank, danced and went back home. The next day, they were at work. Life is simple. |
@Iyaebe Exactly, men should learn and perfect the act of licking plate thoroughly like their life depends on it to avoid this kind of situation. @me Most times I laugh at your comments....too realistic. |
airports in Enugu, Anambra and now ebonyi ... Let some of these airports not become unviable. It's not about competition but economic viability otherwise some of them may become abandoned after commissioning. |
Dreams are very difficult to give a true interpretation. This is because dreams take place in the second heaven. Satan still operate there. It could be a deceit. The faces and characters may not be the real persons. It could be as a result of your activities and thoughts during the day. It could be clear revelations from God. When confused, just observe serious prayers, move on but be watchful. |
It's poverty and sometimes lack of sense of responsibility on the part of the parents. It pushes children to crime and indecent life. In the language of the boys....this life no balance at all. |
@Ulunne777 The children of the poor are not left out either.Go to the slums,if the kids are 100,less than 10percent turn out well. The rest turn to crime or where do the Agberos come from.Rich mans kids? Hell No! @me This is another argument. When you are born in a poor home you start life from a position of disadvantage. When you are born in a rich home you start life from a position of advantage. For the former to breakthrough he must do fifty times the effort of the latter. The latter can do much less and he will still be successful. The number of the poor that can muster the courage, pains and doggedness to breakthrough will always be few. That's why you still see agbaros, face-me-I-fight-you tenants etc. |
Does she have any decent choice? Of course none. Marrying someone with gambling habit is serious red flag. In the marriage she must be very careful with money issues. Hide income and savings from him. When he makes money follow him up bumper to bumper. The woman must be strong. |
I laugh at people that say curses don't have any effect. What happened to Ruben? Some said that Jesus nailed all curses to the cross. I will say yes and no. The fundamental is that there is what is called spiritual legality. God works with a set of rules and laws. Sometimes mercy suspends these laws for us. For a curse to be effective or not to be effective within the bounds of Christianity there must be inherent rights that the person cursing must have. There must be duties that the person cursed failed to perform. The effect of some curses might be immediate while others might take years to manifest. For example majority of children of Nigerian policemen don't do well. Majority of their wealth are wasted. I don't have space I would have told you some personal experiences. I so much refrain from cursing no matter the provocation because I know the effect once I'm standing on the right spiritual right. As a Christian you must have sanctified mouth for what you say to have power. Not a mouth that you have destroyed with mouth action. |
@mariahAngel In your 50s? Wow! How humbling. @me Thanks....Na God win |
@Klass99 @ Vision101, I'm impressed and your narrative made me smile. If I may ask was your reality of one child a conscious decision by you and your wife or an act of God? You don't have to answer, but I will appreciate it if you do. @me Yeah. After him my wife had miscarriage and I decided that one was ok. She didn't like it initially. After some years she asked for a girl either through her or adoption but I said no. We trained the boy do what a boy and a girl can do. Washes, clean the house, cook etc. Mummy and son are enjoying it now. We pray to God at the appointed time to give him a wonderful wife that we will call our daughter. Definitely the lady will enjoy it because it's a closely knitted Christian family. |
I am in my 50s. Economically active. I have only a son. I'm okay. He is a mining engineer. The car he's using now is his second. He buys things for me and the mum even when he knows that I can afford them. When the three of us go out we move like friends. How about this? |
@greenie77 Well captured. @me My dearest friend..... how you dey? I will find time to communicate with you once in awhile. |
@greenie77 Well captured. @me My dearest friend.... how you dey? I will find a way to communicate with you once in awhile. You reminded me of who I am. Regards |
@ObaKlaz I just focus 100% in church then take in the sermons and allow the spirit of God to give me deeper insights beyond the sermons. The messages stay longer with me this way. Works for me always. Taking notes in church is just a show of 'activity' for a lot of church goers as the notes will not be revisited until the next Sunday. @me A serious Christian should actually study the scriptures in the course of the week. The pastor's message offers a handy tool. It offers opportunity to digest and meditate on the message. One of the reasons for going to church on Sunday is to feed your spirit man. That's why pastors must endeavour to deliver sound messages. The Bible is not ordinary book. It's a revelational book. It requires revelations to understand it. The comments I have read here suggest that shorter and precise sermons are more effective. |
