The summary is right there at the bottom of the page and you are still asking silly question.
Why not ask the doctor to help you read simple alphabets?

I don't understand how with all the certificates Nigerians have common basic reading and comprehension is such a problem.

They are better off with men who have children of their own so it is a fair deal....and even at that...
Romance › Childless Men Have No Business dating Single Mothers by 2buffagain(op):
As a bachelor with no kids, I avoid dating or getting hopes up for single mothers because I feel it's important to do things with foresight. For one, I don't date exclusively without marriage in mind. Waste of time and play otherwise.

No matter how much money she has, One of the expectations a wife has of her husband, is that he have a provider mentality. This is a complaint made time and time again by several women, no matter how well-off she is. It's how she feels loved. A provider mentality will also see him providing for her children...

But how hard can a person sacrifice themselves for children that aren't their own? Can you strip of your being and pay for college for that child? Can you go into debt for that child? How deep will that investment go? Would it be fair to expect these of you when the child doesn't even carry your name? Even if the mother allows you to adopt her children (some apparently don't), when more "legitimate" children are spawned from the union, how will things change? Won't that be competition?...competition against your actual blood?

A legacy is a hard enough thing to build these days without starting it on such unstable foundations. These things are very real and serious dynamics.

I feel like If at all this kind of union would work, it would be in a case where her kids are already out of the house...or if he already has his own children.

Romance › Re: She Wants Me To Buy Phone for her but we are not dating. What Should I Do please by 2buffagain(m): 3:35am On Jun 02, 2019
As she is just talking about her problems indirectly hoping you to offer to help Just tell her "Eeya. You'll be alright" and promptly move the conversation to something else.

If she gathers the liver to ask you directly, just say "no" or if you want to be soft "Sorry, I can't help with that".

If she says ok you should borrow her, she is pushing it. Be sure look her squarely in the eyes and say "I don't do that". This will end the matter there.

Understand that when a woman demands these things from you guys, she does not respect you.
In her mind too there is no relationship. She just wants to see how much she can get from you BEFORE you develop some self-respect. She has senses some kind of weakness in you.

Politics › Thoughts On Buhari Getting Sworn In Again... by 2buffagain(op): 5:50pm On May 30, 2019
Every day I remember Nigeria, I laugh at the fools who dwell within it who somehow thought it was a great idea voting yet again for an old sickly clueless 19th-century analog-brained primary-school dropout who can hardly speak instead of a young, educated, modern, vibrant, passionate, future-focused internationally exposed entrepreneur like that Sowore chap.

Sowore did what a lot of us out here always knew needed to happen. One of us had to go back and lead Nigeria as the blind cannot continually lead the blind.

You cannot understand the benefits of a car, if all you have ever experienced in your life is a bicycle. It would be asking too much of most human brains as there is just no context for that brain to work with. The same applies to Nigerians and infrastructural progress. This is not an insult, but basic facts.

We out here want naija to have the same infrastructures we enjoy here...it became clear a very long time ago that only a diasporean, someone who has lived outside of Nigeria long enough, can truly understand the importance of prioritizing technological advancement and infrastructure.

But alas, you fools are doggedly bent on suffering for another 4 years in retrogression and reprobation.
You cannot solve 21st century problems with 19th century thinking.
If these guys had sense, they would prioritized electricity, and gotten a security grid setup around the country by now.
But no, all your leaders know is chop life gang.

This should not have happened...
At this rate, I'm considering selling my land in naija and just calling it quits with that country given how even the majority of citizens back home reason. I don't even know where my naija passport is since I got the other one!

Romance › Re: When I Say I Will Not Marry A Poor Man I Mean It - Lady Claims by 2buffagain(m):
This works for her in Africa.

In the West, rich men of this generation marry rich women so that she doesn't take advantage of their foolish laws here that make it so that any bum female can just come and sit on your lap for some time and all of a sudden has a legal claim to 60 percent of your wealth.

Women here must have something to lose in order to marry a young rich man....some sort of skin in the game.

Gold diggers can only succeed with old rich men.

Why would you change your friends from legal upstanding Nigerians in diaspora to illegal under-table Nigerians?

MONIKERREVEALER:
as I said, congrats mr modern man. I didn't even know you were a doctor as well!!!

why not go and deliver this your lecture to the veteran actor, Michael Douglas, who contracted throat cancer from eating no less a Hollywood diva than his partner Catherine Zeta Jones!!!

I am sure you have more money than both of them put together and can afford to provide your wife with much better healthcare than these two Hollywood superstars could ever afford!!!
Hollywood is a cesspool of filth and debauchery. Every body sleeps around, married or not. Catherine Zeta Jones or both of them gave themselves HPV or whatever triggered his issues.

Either way an STD caused his problem, not the specific act of giving oral to his wife.

MouthAction does not cause oral cancer you idiot.

HPV does, which you will also get From kissing the person if they have it. ABI you won't kiss your wife? Cave cow.

The point is make sure your wife doesn't have any of all that and you'll be fine. Eat her pucci till she turns stupid each time grin

Y'all as annoying as the French Canadians in Montreal.

The only Igbo family I can marry from is the one that
1. Doesn't expect me to travel all the way to their village in the east to marry
2. Doesn't expect to suck me dry because I want to marry and from Yankee.

lilwetdick:
maybe you are right but there are countries with the same conditions like us e.g is india but they still get some stuff rights even with their poor conditions, funny enough, the people producing some of our consumer goods in Nigeria are indians living in nigeria, so why cant nigerians compete with them in the same conditions

if you like give the owners of small shops 24 hours light, they wont still grow..reason is that they dont understand the fundamentals of growing a small business.
There is some truth to this.

Nigerians are generally bad at marketting.

Can't tell you the number of naija shops/restaurants I have to stumble upon while driving in the US that don't even put themselves on google maps....which is how anyone finds anything these days.

Yet they will be there saying village people are against their business.
They are not even doing the bare minimum to help others find them.

Even if there is a revolution tomorrow, neither you nor I will benefit from it. Nigeria is growing we might not even reach stability in 20 years. The real question is what are you doing to make this a reality?
Common to vote they cannot even agree to vote for newer presidents, is it revolution that Nigerians will now do?

It's not even a matter of rigging...
The average Nigerian on the street is still supporting either PDP or APC. The mumu of Nigerians pass rigging.

I was listening to a radio program today of how funds of $10m meant to support start-up IT firms by the federal government has still not been paid.. our leaders are not thinking of the future, all they know is how to stuff their pockets with the resources of the nation.

The leaders of tomorrow to Nigeria are already here. They've grown and are ready to help put the country on the right path... But with the quality of leaders we have, and the level of corruption, they'd rather leave to a country where things work.
Then stop voting for these fools!

Go ask random people in the street and they will tell you that they either voted PDP or APC. The citizens are the problem. They have locked y'all's sense somewhere.

thebosstrevor:
so correct..to add, many tech entrepreneurs in nigeria wanna be celebrities rather than business men, so you see them attending conferences where they are speakers instead of growing their businesses, they are addicted to the fame. some of them spend their time on twitter getting verified and growing their twitter followers rather than their customer base n real life.
Growing twitter followers is good.
That's a good way to build an audence.
You WILL need an audience when you launch anything.

But I agree with the overall thread that more needs to be done...
Tech in a country where 24hr power is not even a thing is always tough.
These are the infrastructure that needs to be in place otherwise an entrepreneur's mind is wasted on lesser things e.g generator hussle.

Basically, what I'm saying is that Nigerians are fools for still voting for all these "Butiku". You guys had a chance this year and blew it for another 4 years. These guys you keep voting for don't even know what a computer is, talkless of prioritizing the infrastructure to support the needed tech culture.

Naija is largely post-apocalyptic...
