ume1000: tell me in the picture below of what good is a queen if u wish to checkmate either kings with just a single piece in positional analysis of a game, a pawn may be more useful than a queen at a point in time. Your question belies the point. Critical reasoning is one of the advantages of playing chess. I expect you to understand that if you truly play chess. |

This is someone who understands political mathematics and chemistry.
The election is beyond social media delusion.
Tinubu is a perfect blend of a politician and an intellectual. It is rare to find Nigerian politicians with the other.
The immediate hurdle is the primaries. Real Politicking will start to unfold soon after. |

KingsJohnson: And what is structure if I may ask you?
Dollar right?
Well meaning Nigerians will shock you come 2023 yes money is one, but it is more with no party structure across states. Elections will be conducted in over 150,000 polling booth, the campaign on social media is overrated, grassroot determines the victory. No single elected official is in Labour party if i am not mistaken. This is truth and emotions must not becloud reason. I can bet if he is on ballot on election day, he wont surpass 5,000,000 votes.... I somewhat feel i am overrating his worth, but i will leave it at that. |

The last time a 3rd force in a Nigerian presidential election had sizable number of votes was ACN in 2011 and it was 2 million votes. They had a fairly ok structure in SW and SS , with about 5 governors. In the 2019 election, the candidate with the 3rd position had 100,000+ votes because it had a party name similar with one of APC or PDP. Labour party has no political structure, not even a councillor. I call any presidential candidate outside apc or pdp a clown. |

iCauseTrouble: I want a northerner to get the APC ticket. It will make it easier for Peter Obi.
My analysis Atiku is from North Kwankwaso is from North If APC fields a northern candidate, the Northern votes will be divided...... Its going to be extremely easy for Peter Obi to win if the South can vote enmass for Obi There is no way any other party on the ballot not APC or PDP can have more than 500,000 votes. When Political neophytes who think that a 3rd force can win presidential election make this sort of ridiculous analysis, i just laugh...... |

eldoradoxx: Tinubu's base in the South is only the West, East and South South is a no-go area for him politically. Remember the East and South South are waiting to pay him back for 2015 conspiracy that outset Jonathan. North Central is a swing region, it is very likely swinging in favour of PDP, APC messed up so much in the Middle Belt region with herdsers farmers clashes that the did not resolve. Tinubu's solid base is North West and southwest. Atiku will take his North East, the people there also want another of their own to be President again after Tafawa Balewa. I am certain the SS and SE will be hotly contested with a Tinubu Contesting. Don't forget Buhari as dangerously hated in SE had 20% of SE votes in 2019. APC will make more inroad in to SE and SS in 2023 than 2019. The Political mathematics of 2019 while Atiku was contesting against a fellow Fulani will not necessarily work for him in 2023 . There may be voter apathy in SE and to some extent SS, however the election will be closely contested. The SW will also have more voter's turnout. The middlebelt region you are referring to suffering from herders conflict. Are the herders not predominantly Fulani? Is Atiku not Fulani? Is Buhari not Fulani? Benue, Plateau, Taraba, Kwara,Kogi are those states part of your middlebelt? If Tinubu clinches the ticket, he is an astute politician and you will see that play out in the next 9 months or thereabout. |
Politics › Re: Reno Omokri: How Northern Solidarity Gave Atiku Victory by chinchum(m): 7:47am On May 29, 2022 |
eldoradoxx: Southerners know giving Wike the ticket is a mere waste of ticket, he can't win anywhere. Wike is a lose canon that has no control. In South we don't nurse sentiment of brotherhood that blinds people to reality and churn out the incompetent ones under the guise of brotherhood as Northerners often do. This is what churned out Buhari the incompetent one. Northern consensus they called him in 2015. The hard reality is that in that PDP primary election race, the only person who had (still has) any chances of winning a general election was Atiku who narrowly lost to Buhari as popular as he is in the North in 2019. Whether the Southern PDP support base of PDP will be ready to vote Atiku again depends on who APC gives ticket, give it to Tinubu and Atiku has easy win in East and South South, North Central and then slug it out with Tinubu is North West, South West (surely going for Tinubu) and North East (surely going for Atiku). Atiku vs Tinubu will not be easy win for Atiku in the SS and NC, shockingly even in the SE. Yes Atiku may win SE and SS, it will be closely contested. The choice of Atiku's VP candidate may help, but an extension of Northern Agenda after Buhari's 8 year will adversely impact his performance in the South. |

Winters23: A strong 3rd force could put a dent on apc and pdp 3rd force , 10 months to general election?? Some of you think Nigeria's election is local government election. As things stands, any other presidential aspirant outside APC and PDP can not win up to 500,000 votes. Nigeria has over 60 million voters and 150,000 polling booths spread across the whole of the 774 local governments in Nigeria. Elections are not conducted on Twitter. |

To try to discuss the "provocation" in isolation is you trying to justify the killing. It is worst than a rapist trying to justify the rape because the victim wore a short gown. So, Because Osinbajo lost in his polling unit, then PDP won Lagos State in 2019. Critical reasoning needs to be thought in Schools. Lagos has close to 2000 polling units. The same way at the national level, a presidential candidate wins a state with a landslide does not mean (s)he won the general election. I hope you realise your fallacy or you are just trolling. |
