Abuleoshi: You are a very dull person. Is August not last month? The article chronicles how the crisis started and how it got to the current point. Or you are too academically lazy to read and understand? Nothing suggest you are smart! The link was not necessary, If you are smart there was no need to post a link of August 2020 which was primarily focused on the crisis of a fallout of lawmakers not being inaugurated. This is what i wrote in my initial comment: I don't know much about edo politics, but i know this much that the current Edo state governor erred greatly by preventing over 12 or 14 state elected APC house of assembly members from being sworn in because he thinks they are loyal to Oshiomole |

It will help you understand the issue better. https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2020/08/15/oshiomholes-boys-should-calm-down-in-edo/ your link is laughable . the link is from August 2020 and talking about an impeachment in August 2020. The lawmakers were elected by peoples vote in April 2019 but were not inaugurated since because the governor felt they were not his loyalist. I guess i understand more than you then. |

Too bad, i like his sagacity , foresight and intelligence. I still wonder why the governor decided to fight him that brutally. Man's worst enemies are members of his household, they exposed him to ridicule from external APC forces who dislike his gut from outside his state. From i what i gathered he performed relatively well as a governor in Edo state. You lose to win some other time. APC lost his first staggered gubernatorial election at the polls immediately he was booted as APC chairman. He was close to indomitable, i am so certain APC would not have lost if he was still the chairman. He is a great leader.
I don't know much about edo politics, but i know this much that the current Edo state governor erred greatly by preventing over 12 or 14 state elected APC house of assembly members from being sworn in because he thinks they are loyal to Oshiomole. If a Godfather is benevolent and intelligent, you don't discard them. I was waiting to hear Obaseki mention where Oshiomole was demanding billions from him till vain, all i could infer was BETRAYAL.
I am sensible enough to decipher that the bulk of the hatred hauled at Oshiomole are coming from PDP party members and loyalist. |

myBraine: Imagine?
Prior to me watching the YouTube video above, I initially thought that the narval officer was guilty of the allegation issued against him but after perusing the video content, it came to my realization that the task officers were suffering from intellectual superiority.
Knowing fully well that the officer was a loner as at the time of the incident, they preyed on him by taking advantage of that and exploited him in groups.
He is a military man for crying out loud. Maneuvering his way through BRT lane shouldn't be the topic of discussion. Lagos roads are usually busy and this man has to reach his destination on time (mostly for the sake of bloody civilians).
For those of us that has been privileged to travel by air before, we violently and ridiculously trespassed international airspace just to reach our desired countries on time. Now, imagine if those countries we trespassed on began firing us missiles from their military airbase, how many of us will still be alive today?
I am standing with this Naval officer, not because I am a military or a paramilitary man but solely because I am a man with an eccentric mindset and a functioning brain. jargons !, it is brt lane not military lane. Nigeria is in a mess because of entitled pricks..... |

He is suggesting the typical Economics textbook solution. If we are going to float the Nigeria, we must have reduced importation drastically so Naira can compete, Fuel importation gulps about 30% of importation, we eagerly awaits an end to fuel importation and significantly increased local food production, maybe a floating the Naira when at least those two fundamentals are met. Floating Naira at this stage is recipe for disaster. 1USD may trade at over $700. |

She has the education and international pedigree to build strong institutions. I remembered she was not only Minister of finance, she was also the Coordinating minister of economy. Ngozi is well educated , although i dont recall her as a politician. what party has she joined to lead a country of 200 million? We need practical ideas and solutions to move the country and not wishlist to stroke our idealistic views. She won't just transform to a President without putting in the right work. |

RuudVanNisteroy: Nigerians love mediocrity and is a failed state. We all want it to get better or at least get to the level of other African countries. Nigeria has been hijacked by drug barons, fraudster and ritualists.
We need a team of intellectuals to rescue the country urgently led by Ngozi Iweala. https://www.nairaland.com/5690877/dream-team-transform-nigeria-2023/3#93113295 I looked at the dream team, and it is not practical via Democracy we practice in a diverse country of over 200 million people. Wake up !, there will be no magic bullet to the progress of Nigeria, it will be co-coordinated and gradual. Your chosen dream president was coordinating minister of economy for over 5 years in an acclaimed "oil boom" era for "oil rich" Nigeria, we saw how that pan out in terms of roads built and infrastructures. MrBrownJay1: thats because you actually CARE what these people think, while you shouldnt (especially if you are barely making ends meet).
to many people back home, since the dollar/Euro/Pound is around 500Nairas therefore if you are earning 1K abroad then you are rich. they will quickly calculate that $1k is about 500k nairas monthly, so they think you will have more than enough to help them....not understanding that with $1k, you can barely live in the west... and most impórtantly, they dont care whether "you" can pay your rent or not!
next time they call, tell them to call you next month! This pretty sums it up, anyone earning $1,000/month abroad is close to being homeless and may start living on the street , but Nigerians bring out calculator and convert to Naira. A nigerian earning $1,000 in Nigeria is relatively a big boy or girl |

GerogeI: This Lady needs help.
First, Adoption might be okay, but to ensure you do not repeat this poverty cycle with your daughter, you need to be close to advice protect and help her. Also it does not solve your own problem of survival, especially if hussling means becoming a street person. Independence can be nice but you can achieve more faster with help. Myself and many others are ready to help you.
1. Find the nearest catholic church or Covent, approach the Reverend Father or Sister. They can provide a temporal hold for your daughter if you want her to be with someone till you can stand. It is better the church finds someone willing to take your child for a while and keeps tabs on them.
2. Explained to them that people wish to help you online. Let the reverend report back on this thread with their identity. With a back account number dedicated to you, and an instruction to release not more than 20K to you monthly. This we will all verify with the bank.
3. You should also be willing to go back to education. You can take GCE, and we will help you with at least NCE. You can also find a business to engage in while you get educated. Or we can offer you a job.
4. We will try to contribute enough to hold you up for the next three years or more, even as you get your bearing. Also the bank will release a lump sum for you to do some business after you get you GCE.
If this works for you reply, while you try to set it up. If you work hard you can reunite with your daughter in about three years with capability to fend for her and yourself. This Lady needs help. This is quite practical. I hope the Op responds to this. OP must be so strong willed to break the vicious cycle. With a goal mindset and a little assistance she will break the yoke. Everything is not spiritual like some people want us to believe. If you as a child was raised by a drunk father, if you are not strong willed , you will end up like him, no matter how much you may have hated the fact your dad was a drunkard as a child, it is not spiritual most of the times. |

ekerintee: Not everybody can get a degree ,going to the university is not a solution to all problem, how does she sponsor her self there .it's not bad going to the uni but it has to do with if that is the direction she wants to go in life ,some succeed in business ,if she is intelligent and have the zeal, she can go to the university or do a part time degree.polytechnics also have part time options ,the option of open university is there .but I think survival comes first
Obviously going to a University is not a solution to all problem. Survival comes first, she has survived for the last 21years, if she is not careful she will only survive for the next 50 years or more. At 21 years, she has 9 more years to clock 30 years. There is a reason i am recommending goal setting of getting a degree by 30 years. She may have to shed some weight along the process of survival to achieve growth. An average Nigerian is only surviving and not growing. When your only focus is survival and not growth, you simply retrogress in years to come. |
Family › Re: My Boyfriend Is On The Verge Of Leaving Me. Help! by chinchum(m): 10:48pm On Aug 16, 2020 |
Heartheart: Hi I just needed to bring this here. I am 22 years of age and I am not happy at all. My boy friend and I are in a long distance relationship. Not long perse. He is in lagos while I'm in abeokuta. I served in lagos so that's how we met and we got to spend quality time together.
Now since I've passed out I've been at home. I passed out in June. So it's been June that we saw last and now we're in august. He has been disturbing me to come visit him as it has not been easy staying alone, loneliness and all. I promised to visit him next week which also happened to be my birthday week. I have super strict parents but I still promised I will find my way.
I told them (parents) that I was travelling to visit a friend (girl). I could not tell them it was my boyfriend I was going to see because I knew deep down they wouldn't allow me travel to another city to see a guy. But my parents have blatantly refused that I cannot visit this girl. I had to tell my bf that I was not going to come. He was so sad and angry and he let me know he has wasted a lot of money preparing to surprise me for my birthday. He was so excited to see me and he had made a lot of plans. He told me he was disappointed in me and he doesn't think he can continue a relationship like this. Yes he comes to abeokuta sometimes but he mostly lodges in the hotel. He told me he can't continue lodging in the hotel that if I love him I will make effort. I tried to convince my parents they did not gree. Imagine, I told them I wanted to see a gf that they knew and they refused. What if I had told them he was a guy.
Pls guys how do u advise me to save my relationship, I'm in a tight spot right now and really sad. If he has threatened break up, he is most likely not a serious guy, @22 after NYSC, you may still feel young, but time flies faster now. Do not make special effort for someone not known in your house, you have not made reference of the guy coming to meet your family, possibly your parents have met him though. I expect your parents to relax a little if they know you are visiting a Guy they have met as long as you are not sleeping over. |

Mizflo: Please I need your advice. I had created this account because I am well known here with my main account because I am always active and I want to remain anonymously.
Am 21 a single mum with 1 girl age 5 , her dad rejected me when I was pregnant he left when I was 4 months pregnant with her .
I had a difficult time growing up , my mum died when I was 8 years and my dad denied me claiming my mum had cheated on him and there’s no way I could be his daughter.
My aunty who was supposed to care for me had never bothered about me , she was always out leaving me in the house all alone without food , whenever I complains she will beat me telling me to go to my mum graveyard to ask her for assistance.
I have suffered in the hand of my aunty she didn’t care about my education if I have managed to complete my primary school till jss2 was thanks to this aunty who was a teacher at my school and a good friend of my mum , she sponsored me , And when I was 14 my aunty landlord kicked her out of the house because of rent arrears she said I am the enemy of progress she cant take me to her boyfriend house because he won’t accept me to stay there that I should go and look for a place , I cried and pleaded with her to take me along with her but she refuse I beg her to show me where my dad is she said he will not accept me because he hated my mum but I beg her to take me to him .
She took me to him it was my first time seeing him I looked just like him with one eye big one small but he insulted the hell out of us saying he will never accept me because my mum was a cheater she had so many boyfriends that I should ask her who my real father is but my aunty insisted that my mum had told her before she passed on that he was my dad even taught I resembled him still he denied and kicked us out like we were dogs I cried and my aunty was angry because of the insult so she left me all alone in the street but later came to me . Since that day my life situation has worsened because I was forced to stay with different people where I was being abused , my baby dad came as a guardian angel to my life he took care of everything i needed by promising me heaven on Earth I taught he will get me out of my hard situations but I was wrong i find out he was married with kids I was heartbroken because I didn’t want to live the same lifestyle as my mum had lived but history has repeated itself just like my mother had me with a married man but she knew he was married but me I didn’t know , but it was too late for me to moved on because I was already pregnant for him and I didn’t want to abort my baby I have decide to continue the relationship but when I was 4 months pregnant he left me and blocked me from all his contacts , this is the man that has never bothered to asked about his child for 5 years now..
My little girl dont even know her dad the same way I did not know mine until I was 14 which break my heart anytime I think about it.
My daughter and I are staying with my madam the lady tat I serve her for now 3 years but things here hasn’t been easy for us because my madam children don’t like me they keep accusing of things I don’t do like I stole their money , clothes and many more before my madam was telling them to stop with their bad attitudes towards me but I have noticed that whenever they had accused me she start getting angry with me sometimes we can go days without her not talking to me which I think I have overstayed and I am not longer wanted here I want to leave this house and to go and hustle but I feared for my daughter because I don’t want her to end up like me.
If I leave this house we will be on the street for a long time till I will be able to get somewhere else to stay with her also I don’t think I can give her the best education because if she stay with me she will end up being a teen mother just like I did something I don’t want to happen to her and I came across someone who’s willing to help me by taking care of my daughter to give her the best life something that I have always wanted for her , she promised to take care of her till university and she will give me the money to rent a room and start up business she said she will take things to the right direction like adoption but I don’t know how she will do it because I have no idea that I will have to sign up papers for agreement i have agreed because I think is really a good opportunity for me even taught I have accepted but sometimes I am getting worried about giving her my daughter I am having sleepless nights and thinking all nights.
I am just tired of living this life I didn’t ask to be born my parents created me and now I am suffering from their mistakes something I didn’t consented and I don’t want my daughter to suffer because of my mistake I think giving her up for adoption is a good thing , but I don’t know if I am doing the right things.
please no insult what is your advice for me.
Thanks If this is true, because i have doubt that a J.s.s 2 drop out can write this okay. This appears scripted IMO. Giving this writeup a benefit of doubt, You must be clear about the complete implication of giving your daughter up for adoption. To the religious hypocrites who are all just coming up with the one way religious solution, get down from the high horse, prayer without works is dead. A vicious cycle is a natural phenomenon until something practical is done to stem the tide. My practical advise is to save to sit and pass the Senior School certificate exams, give up your daughter for adoption legally to a home that can take good care of her. Channel your anger in to a deep thirst to succeed and break the vicious cycle. With at least a School certificate in the next 2 years, give yourself a goal of getting a degree before you clock 30 years. When yokes get broken, forces align you to succeed. Pray without ceasing. A vicious cycle does not get broken without a strong will to get it broken even if you pray 23hours a day. |

Orgasm is not just for men, women can have it too, maybe not in all sexual encounters, if a woman knows she has 50% chance of having orgasm during sex, even tiredness will not be an excuse. A tired woman who have an orgasmic sex will have a relaxing sleep afterwards. |
