I don't understand guys who say a lady is too proud. Leave Victorian alone. If she's too proud, move on to someone you consider less proud. By the way, not being loud and proud does not mean you don't have inner pride. Toro2015: You are too proud... I watch your replies closely.. |

I think he's advocating for people to see the glass as half full. Everyone is on edge in his country. So he felt that if his babe even thought that he was almost broke, she would have mocked him. (He probably jumped to conclusions). He's essentially saying that if the guy becomes broke or is broke, try to work with him to solve that issue, without giving him money. If it works out fine but if he doesn't put in the effort, then he's a scam. generationz: Seems you read the post backwards. The man isn't interested in any job all he wants is to leech off any rich babe he can find. |

Even in primary school, they taught us this. Dowry is paid to the man while bride price is paid to the woman. Dowry is used in some northern cultures while bride price is the norm everywhere else in Nigeria. MrCork: ..curious.. did they pay u dowry? |

Also, many relationships start without anyone asking anyone out explicitly. |

Even abroad they release CCTV footage for dangerous people immediately so that people will be on alert and recognize them. Just last month in Canada, in the case of the two teenagers that were wanted for killing 3 people, the CCTV footage they had of them in a store was released IMMEDIATELY. maklelemakukula: So they captured his image and announced it to the public so the man can run away...I no understand Nigerian investigation patterns oo |

So we have s certified serial killer in PH. I trust the police to find him. I just hope they don't harass, maim or kill innocent civilians in the process.
And when they catch him, they should prosecute him and not just kill him like their instincts would ask them to. This is how other countries improve their investigative techniques, by what is said during the trial. |

However, if everyone applied common sense to their relationship matter, we'd have less problems. I think. |

School owner and uncle-parent here:
I suggest that you make homework/talking about school a normal, relaxed part of daily life. Set aside 1 - 3 hours every day for you and your kid(s) to talk about school and to do homework.
You could integrate it into another part of the day like dinner.
You learn A LOT if you listen to your kids. You will also imbibe in them the habit of talking to you calmly every single day. This is how you will be able to catch things in the bud (abuse, relationships, sadness) and be able to better prepare & react. |

She should be smart and make sure they either do court marriage, marry abroad or be based abroad. Then, if he cheats, she can take HALF of his worth. superior1: Nonsense. No self-appreciating girl should be at the pleasure of a serial baby-papa like Davido
Besides
I will take this list serious only if/when they are married for atleast 5yrs without divorce/scandal |

LOL She was taking ZERO prisoners. Frankly, the loudest MGTOWS are missing the point entirely because they spend all their time talking about women and MGTOW. What would Nairaland be if not a shade-throwing stadium? Breaststroke: She did right? Well as far as I can tell, you didn't throw any shades you kept things civil. Which is very commendable by the way.
I like the way she floored certain users to the point where they could only throw shades, as is their usual manner |

The first feminist movement, a far as I know, was the movement for "landed women". It was not for all women. It was not for equality. pocohantas: Dude, don't give me headache this morning na. There was never one movement, but there was a first movement.
What was the aim of that first movement? Answer am for your mind, because I no get energy for unnecessary back and forth. |
Family › Re: What Is MGTOW? Meet The ‘Men Going Their Own Way’ by cooooooks(m): 7:56am On Sep 17, 2019 |
Let me explain: There is no "it". There was never any "one" movement. Some feminist movements started out with "good" intentions. Some did not. Till today, there is no "one" feminism. So your definition of the word/movement could vary wildly from the definition of the person sitting next to you. pocohantas: It never started out to be toxic was the statement Sir. Not that some versions/waves were not toxic. |

You speaking madd truth!! I know a family like that too. The wife had spaere money from her small business because the husband insisted that HE ALONE must provide for the family. So she started investing in properties. HE was angry and tried to stop her but she continued. Now, he is not making much again and she is able to support the university fees of their kids. I want a PARTNER for a wife. Someone with whom I will build a life/empire TOGETHER. ornicus: all these antifeminist wankers
let their dads pass away or fall ill and their eyes will open
i am on a whatsapp group of my old classmates. when one of us falls seriously ill or dies, na for everyone to rush to donate. because almost all the people involved were not earning that much to start with and their wives are more or less housewives. completely unsustainable
some years back i had this useless indian oga. randy man who was always using us to sort out some issues with his runs girls. he was telling us about how his fav runs girl was a lady whose dad had died, and this was what she now had to do to raise money.
always reference awolowo's story for the same reason. his dad was rich, but the man dies when awo was 10, and awos extended family simply shared everything. one of the brothers even wanted to inherit awo's mum. they were instantly destitute.
these anti feminist trolls do not know the short thread they are hanging on;the horrible lives their kids will live if they pass on with unempowered wives, or the possibilities for them as well. i know a couple where the dad was in BAT, pulling down the big dough. the wife had a party business. today the man has been out of work for over 5 years and it is madam carrying them. dey there dey shout feminist upandan. unfortunately most of you are not capable of actually providing a family with a comfortable living |
Family › Re: What Is MGTOW? Meet The ‘Men Going Their Own Way’ by cooooooks(m): 7:48am On Sep 17, 2019 |
Actually, some versions did. There were more than one women's rights groups from the late 1800s to the 1900s in both N.America and Europe. Some were interested in equality for all. Some (the oldest groups) were interested in equal rights for "landed women"; i.e: women who had property. Bear in mind that voting in the USA used to be limited to "landed gents" which sometimes extended the honour to "landed women" (think of the harlot towns in Nevada). Some were interested in rights for white women only...and so on. pocohantas: Nnem, my post didn't suggest MGTOW was the origin of sex dolls. Some men said it will help them do away with women, Nigerian women. Which I believe is part of the MGTOW plan.
Of course their are versions of feminism that are toxic, but it never started out to be so. Same can't be said for MGTOW, leaves me wondering what the different waves or misconstrued version of it would be like.
But then, this is Nigeria. A heavily patriachal society. Anyone that claims the Nigerian man is at a disadvantage in a marriage is a highly deluded being. |
