I have noticed many Nigerians do not really know the Igbo aside from the few they see in their localities or those that sometimes travel to the east.

Those in Lagos also do not know them as their major base in Lagos is in the amuwo-odofin, Ojo areas.Which many lagosians I have come to realise do not visit as it is in the outskirts of Lagos.

I came to this area in the early 2000s,back then it was a scanty backwater area,only fg built Festac and satellite were in the area

The area was a bush.

Forward 22years later. The whole area is filled with mansions and businesses dominated almost entirely by igbos.

The area as expanded beyond recognition and it's one of the most developed area of Lagos despite government neglect.

The area is probably another lekki in disguise.

I realise many lagosians aren't familiar with this area also.

I tell you I have seen what gradual progress and development is like with the igbos in this area.

I have lived with them,they aren't perfect and have their issues just like any other tribe.

But i have really seen what the igbos are capable of.

It's unfortunate their region as fallen into chaos now.However that is not a valid reason to dismiss them as the north is in more choas yet people are considering a Fulani to Fulani transition.

Visit amuwo-odofin and Ojo you will realise what the igbos can do if you know what the area was like in the 90s.

Note: the area as long been neglected by successive Lagos governments until recently under sanwoolu.

I have not seen any other community that as achieved this much in Lagos under two decades virtually on their own.

This performance ability is what NIG highly needs now,not a mele mele(lackadaisical) presidency.

We need performance, I think the igbos can do it.Nigerians really need to consider this.

I hàve observed many people love to disparage the igbos,like I saw a thread of ABA being a slum.

Many people do not know the true wealth of the igbos considering their near destruction during the civil war,it's a top notch performance

I can tell you if you want to name any slum dwellers in NIG, count the Igbo out.

The igbos are proud and stubborn, but it's high time we had a president with pride,gutso and backbone to raise Nigeria level in the comity of nations.

A senior police officer and two others involved in shooting a female lawyer dead in Lagos on Christmas day have been arrested, IGBERETV reports.

The lawyer identified as Bolanle Raheem was shot and killed by a policeman under questionable circumstances in the Ajah area of Lagos State.

It was gathered that the lawyer, her sister, and four children were coming from an eatery in their car around 11am when the police operative tried to stop them but shot at the driver.

The officer who was in the company of a team of police operatives was said to have fled the scene after shooting the woman just as she was trying to make a U-turn under the Ajah Bridge according to sources.

The woman was rushed to the hospital but was confirmed dead.

Confirming the incident, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, described it as unfortunate and avoidable. He added that the affected officer has been arrested and is in custody while investigations go on.

It all started when I met a lady in a suya joint. I don't know her before but she looked like someone in need. After buying the suya,I started walking away. To my surprise,she ran to me and started begging that she doesn't have a place to stay for the night and she's stranded and if she could stay in my house for the night. To God who made me,I couldn't turn her down because she was crying seriously. I said okay and she followed me to my house which was not far from aboki's shop.
We got home. She kept thanking me that God will bless me for letting her stay with me for night. I asked her about her name,she said 'Precious'. I asked why she was stranded. She said that she was supposed to meet her brother but he had an accident,bla bla bla. She would have slept in a hotel but she didn't have enough money.
The question that bothered me most was why she wanted to stay with me when there were other people there. I shrugged it off and shared the suya with her,I'm a good Samaritan indeed. Immediately,she dozed off. I laid her properly on my bed. I didn't sleep on it oo. Me ke?
I live in a single room but I have a small sofa. I slept on it. Some crying sounds woke me up. I quickly switched on my phone light and saw her crying. I asked what happened,she said she's feeling cold. She was shivering seriously.
I gave her my cardigan,she said no.

 A Mexican woman, who flew 3000 miles to date a Peruvian man she met online, was found dead in the port of Huacho. As per the authorities, Blanca Arellano was killed for her organs. The 51-year-old Blanca met Juan Pablo Jesus Villafuerte on a gaming app, and after several months of chatting online, the former decided to travel to Peru to meet him in real life.

Blanca's family says she flew out to Lima on October 31 to meet the 37-year-old man. Blanca contacted her family a week later on November 7, which is the last time they spoke. She reportedly told her niece Karla Arellano that things were moving forward......
