I've been married for over a decade and what I learnt is that a man is a lot like a child, he's hard work but if you have a good one then you can extract what you need, tolerate what you can, and put your foot down when you can't tolerate certain things. Don't fight him because you'll lose but instead manipulate and be strategic and prioritize your peace of mind. Decide from the onset what you need from a man and make that your none negotiable, because he can't be everything you need.

We women have our faults and weaknesses too and men manage those and take what they can.

I take comfort in knowing that the reality in my everyday life and interactions don't mirror the op but if I was to use this forum as a measuring stick then I would take op seriously.

You need counseling to recover from your parents relationship. You've internalised another person's experience and that isn't healthy. Love and marriage isn't the things you mentioned so develop yourself, get to know yourself, conquer your fears, weaknesses, and all round mould yourself to the best possible version of yourself. Once you do the ground work then you will attract a man who has done the same and you will get what you want and deserve out of any relationship. Don't use your past as an excuse but rather a platform to grow from.

I don't know why people make life so complicated for themselves. If you know for a fact that you're family won't accept a certain type of person due to their tribe, or life circumstances, then don't get involved with such a person.

For me, it was religion and I didn't want to lose my family, so I only dated, spoke to about marriage, and married from my own religion.

We come from communities, and if we want to remain in our communities, then we have to plan, and avoid things that work against the community norms.

Yes, everyone woman (sometimes) experience clotting during their period. Blood clots so there's nothing abnormal about her experience. It's scary when a woman first notices it but once she asks a few women she'll understand it's normal.
