If u dont want to hate her, ur marriage and ur kids just forget about her past, so far she's performing her wifely duties well den forget,
Talking from experience bro.... Plsssssss.
That past can show up in the future and still make the man hate her, hate the kids and everything concerning her...secrets are the joker of the devil. When all seems well and things are moving fine, the devil will just play his joker and boommm a horrible secret that was hidden for decades is brought to the surface, husband is offended and he beats up wife, marriage ends, husband is in jail, family in shambles and the children become dysfunctional.

If you want your marriage to last, declare your assets and liabilities mutually before you start the marriage. Failing to do so could plant a time bomb in the marriage.

Matthew quotes Jesus as saying: “It was also said, 'Whoever divorces his wife, except on the grounds of porneia (sexual immorality), makes her an adulteress; and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.” (Matthew 5:31-32)

Question

Is it only a divorced woman that shouldn't remarry? Does the same apply to a divorced man?
Question 1. No
Question 2. Yes

See reference below:

And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her. And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.

Help me please. Me & my husband got into an argument. He said something that made me think he is putting a female friend’s feeling over mine

I guess i got so jeolosy & so angry withought thinking my immediate response was to raise my hand as it to throw something i was holding at him. I quickly realised what i was about to do & i stopped myself. I didnt hit him.

He was shocked too & he just said what kind of a wife is this. He also stated that action shows that i dont value him. I apologised yesterday but i woke up today feeling regret, and shame. Should i apologise again? But then the initial argurment i still feel like he was in the wrong?

My marriage means so much to me. We have come a long way from not having a cent , gave up my career to support his own career, raise our kids. Now he is a successful man . But i feel its now in vain.
Did he force you to give up your career to support him? If the answer is no then stop using your support as a cheap blackmail tactic. Did he force you to accept his marriage proposal? If the answer is no then stop whining about the challenges in your marriage and fix them. If you feel your contributions to the success of your marriage is now in vain then I feel sorry for you...your options are to seek a divorce or to keep fixing your marriage. If you choose the former good for you. You will become a single mother, with nothing to support your kids if your husband turns out to be a scam. If you choose the later perhaps you can salvage what is left.

Marriage is not for the faint of heart...if you cannot bear the heat of marriage it is better to remain single.

Islandlady:
Nairalanders I need y'all mature advice on this issue, No insults tho

I have been friends with my male friend for over 11years now, so he is more like a brother to me! He got married 3yrs ago, But we live in the same district, I do visit them once in a while! And I usually bump into his wife at market places, malls or on the street due to the fact that we live in the same district.

My friend is hardly around for the past few Weeks due to the fact that he do travel for work. . .But recently I have been seeing his wife with a Man just about the age of my friend, I have seen them together at the mall for 3 times now for a period interval of 3 weeks, I usually dodge and escape myself so they won't see me! The last time I saw them together I took a sneak pictures of them, I don't know this man, I have never seen him when I visit them, he is not a family member! I have been curious so I feel I should call the attention of my friend to this and send him the pictures too!

Should I tell him about it or what? I am confused!
The picture you took isn't enough evidence. You need to investigate even further. If what you had was a picture of them getting all romantic and sexual then you have solid evidence to start with...but are you also investigating the guy who gets to travel for work? Are you sure the guy isn't doing his own where he is? If I were you I'd mind my business and watch how this would unfold. One thing with secrets is that they tend towards being exposed and soon kasala go burst!

Politics › Re: Finance Minister Zainab, Soludo, Peterside Advocate Fuel Subsidy Removal by efficiencie(m): 6:35pm On Jun 15, 2022
subsidywise18:
Subsidy chatter actually started during the millitary regime. It was there from 1973, and the first chatter about removing it was in the 1980's and 1990's. In 1993, IBB was advised by the World Bank and company to remove fuel subsides.

Also we import for the simple reason that subsides means that you sell fuel at a price below what it costs to make it, and you get paid a subsidy that barely covers refining costs. That's a big part of the reason why our refineries collapsed....no profit, dependent on government subventions which in turn fuelled corruption and sabotage...since whether refinery worked or not, ye get paid. And more money comes in from repairing 'breakdowns'

We have been subsidising fuel since 1973. This is the end result.
But you haven't addressed the crux of my point. Why wasn't the subsidy shit so much of a problem during the military regime. As we speak even the uneducated now know of a subsidy thing and if anything happens to the fuel prices they know oh one subsidy crap must be involved. If we have been subsidising fuel since 1973 why wasn't it a killer phenomenon all through till 1999? Obasanjo entered and boom "subsidy" became a word used to terrorize people. I still say it. Democracy is absolute nonsense. No wonder the founding fathers of the US relied more on the collegiate system because pure representative democracy is just nonsense. Power will never reside with the people rather it will always reside in the hands of the few powerful who can make dumb decisions at will. We have the raw materials but we choose to export the raw material and import refined products based on a raw we have in abundance. Nothing spells madness more than what our leaders do with oil.
Politics › Re: Finance Minister Zainab, Soludo, Peterside Advocate Fuel Subsidy Removal by efficiencie(m): 7:52am On Jun 15, 2022
subsidywise18:
It should go

1.It is chopping all the excess dollars we should be getting from the rise in oyel prices, on top of the debt we have to pay off due to 8 years of low oil prices from 2014.

2.It is stifling investment in the petroleum sector. If it costs over N300-400 to refine one liter of fuel, and one has to sell it at N165 per liter, why invest in a refinery.? The hardy few that are investing in refineries are taking a big risk.

3.We are essentially subsidising fuel not only for Nigeria, but for other African countries. If petrol costs N165 here, and N300 and above in all our neighbours, why won't people smuggle.?

Yeah, inflation. But the truth is, we don't have the money. Yes, politicans, but what we are spending on subsidisng petrol this year is more than what any pol can loot this year. And yes, Buhari, APC , PDP etc are bad leaders, and yes, I don't like them as much as you do.

Nigeria has spent 413 trillion naira on fuel subsides between 2006-19.That's money that could have been used for education, health, transport, etc etc. And the more the oil price rises, the more the cost of producing fuel rises, and thus the cost of subsidsing it.

P.S: Anyone interested in why subsidy should go, should read this...Fuel subsidies in Nigeria: they’re bad for the economy, but the lifeblood of politicians
What changed between 1999 and now. How come the military regimes did not mention anything about subsidies. After we started this DEMOCRAZY nonsense we started hearing about fuel subsidy. Your idiotic politicians will never build enough refineries to make Nigeria energy self sufficient. How can we have abundant oil reserves yet we are importing petroleum products? Is that not madness? It's like importing drinking water when we have rivers and coastlines.

I have always said it, Nigeria is a machine sustained by the elite to further their interests and enslave all others. Only a national revolt will solve Nigeria's problems.

I think it's high time every citizen in Nigeria wants to troop out and vote their preferred candidate for 2023 elections. We need to vote what our hearts wants and getting the PVC is the first important step.

Everyone has started doing their part because they still love their fatherland, we all can't JAPA because we can't afford the bills or probably we can't leave some of our loved ones behind. So what's the way forward to make our dear nation Great again? Voting the right candidate is the answer.

The youths eyes are now cleared, they all want to vote for their choice. And as a Nigeria youth who is also a young father, who wants the best for himself and his born and unborn children, I will be donating my dad's church as a PVC center if it is needed from INEC.

Any information or suggestions regarding this idea will be highly welcome.

Let's all join hands together and fight to regain our dear nation from bad, corrupt and tribalistic leaders.

This should be in front page for wider audience
You for donate your family house too na. Una mumu never do una. Your PVC is useless. If Atiku wins everybody is dead because that's the meaning of his name. If Tinubu wins Nigeria will become like Mushin. If Peter Obi wins it's either they kill him or force him to do the bidding of the cabal. Your salvation by the PVC is dead on arrival.

Hello guys good day hope y'all are doing great.

Am writing this with so much grief in my heart as I feel depressed, sometimes love can come with somuch pains and joy at same time.

So recently I agreed with my fiance to relocate to a different city since she got a job over there, we agreed a scheduled time we wil have to see each other within a specific period of time. This is someone we share everything in common the love was great, she's an awesome soul to be sincere.

I got so much attached to her, that it made me felt lonely and empty when she left, due to that reason I always want to call and check up frequently, This has been going on For about 4 weeks consistently, the first red flag I noticed was that she asked me not to be calling her frequently that sometimes it's not really cool with her, I respected that fact and reduced the way I call but I was beginning to loose the trust I had for her.

She goes out with her friend frequently and they love partying, even when I consistently warn her about the late nights they keep most times in clubs and partying she keeps telling me she's not a kid and she can handle things herself. Lately the relationship have been filled with lots of argument, misunderstanding, and the trust is beginning to reduce drastically.

Yesterday she uploaded a nasty picture as her display pics on WhatsApp, she was just putting on a top without bra, though she's busty and all that, I asked her take it down and upload something more appealing and decent that am not comfortable with such pics, she began to rant and start saying all manner of things like it's her privacy, her phone, her body, and she decides what to do with it, am an African man and I don't welcome this woke mentality of women nowadays, feeling they need to be half naked to feel sexy I can't cope with such indecent dressing, I told her am not trying to tell her what to do but atleast you should respect my opinion sometimes, I got angry and sent her a very long message about my displeasure. since then she has refused to pick my calls nor reply my messages.

She tried calling earlier today but I didn't pick, I couldn't sleep through out the night the whole drama was just playing in my Head.

Guys is this enough reason to call of a relationship or are my just being too self centered? have actually made up my mind just need to hear from different and more matured people in the house.
Thanks for reading and enjoy the rest of your day.
Dude it's like, it is hungrying you to suffer abi. You want to marry problem. You are lucky you are not rich enough to make her pretend. She is displaying the attitude that she will hide from the unfortunate readymade man that will marry her. You had better run for your dear life. She is a natural disaster waiting to happen.

Good morning nairalanders, I have known this girl from my secondary school days, she was my junior though are not dating then, even we don't do normal talking.
5 years ago we meet again, and we started talking, them issue of relationship came in, we started dating before finalizing the marriage rite last year, shortly after we had our first baby.
I have been doing everything to pleased this girl including going to market to buy foodstuffs, gave her little money to start a provision shop, though she has some money she saved during her NYSC days, she added everything together and open the shop.
To cut the story short, I have a betting shop and I'm also into poultry business, there was Newcastle outbreak in my farm, I lost all my chicken, so I used to borrow money from her sometimes and I paid back on Monday when I get my weekly commission as a betting agent.
I noticed she has been bossy over me since I'm broke, there was a day she sized my phone last week cos I couldn't pay the 25k I owe her, I paid her 16k out of it, I later have to tell her to take the half bag if rice we just bought the previous day so that she can sell and gu e me my phone, after few hours she later gave me the phone.
Fast forward to what happen, I finished eating almost 11pm yesterday, and I'm feeling dizzy and I told her to stand up and let me sleep in the chair, she shouted on me on top of her voice, I got angry and ask if she is alright, them I challenge her that I have been noticing she had wlbeen bossy, she is now the husband and I'm the wife, mind you, she has never help me with laundry since last year August, I have been washing all my clothes myself, including cooking, I do most of the cooking , etc
The issue got into a heat argument yesterday night, she started saying things that wasn't pleasing to hearing, she said "the debt I'm in is what will kill me" "I'm an unfortunate being" "all men are useless except his son" "that I will never be successful" etc

But she said something that made me stand up and beeged the neighbors to allow me sleep with them, she said "She will still stab me to death" or "she will poison me to death"
satan packaged your problem into a woman and you married her. Congratulations brah. Go for prayers and deliverance.

I was charging my phone few weeks back in a neighbors house when two boys were saying it is good to beat your girlfriend and wife. I told them NO that it is absolutely wrong to beat a girl no matter what she did. He told me he went to work and when he came back, his girlfriend didn't cook. That made him beat her. Couple with the fact that she spoke to him anyhow after she knew was wrong. I told him there are several ways to punish a lady when she offend you. Beating should never be part of disciplining a woman in relationships or marriage.
Nomatter what your wife or girlfriend do to you, even if she slap you or insult you in public, there are better ways to punish her. No woman should be beaten. I wonder were some women got their husbands from. I went to a party the other day to back up for someone, a guy was just embarrassing this lady. Women should test the anger-level of their spouse before saying Yes I do.
A woman should not lift her hand against a man if she cannot take a retaliation. A woman should not provoke her husband until he morphs into the very beast that beats the shit out of her. A woman should not marry a readymade beast and hope to convert him into a sane man.

But how does capitalism thrive when they are still affected by government policies. Buhari showed us that clearly.
We know we've made mistake in the past, but that's what great people do, mistake marks the path of greatness. No nation gets it right the first time. We voted these previous people with emotions not logic, if you don't want Peter obi who at least has shown concern for the younger generation, is it atiku or osinbajo you want. If Peter obi wins, it's not only going to be about whether he enacts changes or not. It will be more about the fact that the youths wanted a particular candidate and even without being part of the ruling party, he still won the election, that's what matters. I can earn in dollar in Nigeria, but insecurity won't let me enjoy my money. Government policies still affect you one way or the other
The Nigerian political system is a DNA transforming entity. It transforms saints into dullards or villains. Our messiah will not come from the youth because even the youth have been corrupted. We need a system that ensures checks, balance, incentivizes creativity and stamps out impunity. We cannot trust one man to build such a system because we cannot trust any Nigeria to build a system that could one day turn around and bite him. No thief will support the building of the best security systems.

We have to return to the model of our forefathers. We have to return to an altruistic communalism. The government or the cabal can stop one man or one president but it cannot stop the combined force of millions of Nigerians mobilized to address issues common to them all. Any attempt by the government to stop a well coordinated mass movement will result in a war.

I can assure you that we can get millions of poor and middle class Nigerians to agree that: poverty, insecurity and infrastructure are the core concerns affecting most people in the poor and middle class. Now do we need a government to contribute to a fund; populate a register of the unemployed and underemployed; invest in sustainable industries like food/cash crop farming, livestock farming, tech, etc; build open learning institutions where those who have been marginalised can acquire viable skills and build a potent communication system? No we don't. These politicians can do this but they would rather use 100million naira to buy presidential form.

All this craze for PVC shows you all have learned nothing and you need to continue suffering until you learn. When OBJ contested after being released from prison we all shouted get your voters card and vote for OBJ he will do this he will do that. Una mumu mode activate sharperly and una vote in OBJ. OBJ entered and trampled on the middle class and the poor. He raised VAT, sold Nigeria's core refinery and supervised one of the craziest heist in the power sector known as NIPSS. Some in his defense will say he brought GSM but has GSM raised millions of Nigerians out the trap of poverty? No. The same OBJ, in whom we thought we could see a father entrenched the "do or die" style of politics and used it to bring in Yar'Adua and GEJ. The election was massively rigged despite you all getting your voters card. Yar'Adua died, GEJ contested for the presidency. GEJ told you all that he didn't have shoes and in him you saw the deliverer of Nigeria. You all trooped out like nama to vote for GEJ. You all were shouting get your voter's card as you are shouting now. GEJ won, Nigeria made billions from crude oil sales and all the money vanished into thin air. GEJ's presidency was a free for all looting spree. Everyone that knew someone that had a connection with someone that occupied a position of power in GEJ's regime looted. The looteratti continued until the crude oil prices plummeted and the underbelly of the beastly regime of GEJ was exposed. Even Okonjo Wahala could not contain the wahala that the looteratti were bringing her way. Buhari came as the replacement for GEJ. The no nonsense general who we thought would straighten out Nigeria. Again Nigerian citizens like mindless robots trooped out to vote in Buhari, with chants of "sai baba", and chants of "change". Now the change is here. No electricity, no energy self sufficiency, no solid foreign reserves, poor quality of life, no security, chronic import dependence, insurgency, etc. Now you fools are at it again, shouting for people to go get their PVC. Your PVC cannot change anything. Peter Obi cannot save you. Peter Obi is one man. Atiku will further atikulate the treasury as he has no plans for the poor. Tinubu will entomb Nigeria as he did Lagos. You guys should wake up. Your power is in the mobilization of likeminded people. The EndSARS protest was a testament to what Nigerians could accomplish by mobilising like minded people towards achieving a common goal. If we band together again, this time not to fight the police but to govern ourselves, ensure security by ourselves, fix infrastructure by ourselves etc we will render the government useless and with one master stroke we can unseat the government and entrench a true republic. Your salvation is not in a PVC. Your salvation is in working together with your neighbor. One will chase a thousand, two will chase ten thousand.
