/ If it takes this for you to figure out the scam, then you need more spiritual help that the Adeboyes of this world. For the record: God is not talking to any of those charlatans. It is one of the greatest transfer of wealth from the masses to their pockets. A motivational speaker is not necessarily a man of God. But in Nigeria, the line is not decipherable. / |
deltateam:/ Your Nigerian pastors will beg to disagree. Even the Pope is in on the human security game. For those claiming closer link with the almighty God, do they know what you don't know? I honestly believe that most high profile "men of God" do not believe in God. They are playing a probability game. It is all act. / |
/ The moment you notice Nigerians follow a particular trend is the moment a rational mind should stay away. If it is beneficial and progressive, Nigerians would not touch it with a ten feet pole. Common sense. / |
/ Nigerians can never get anything right. Are you telling me that they couldn't find nails for the guy on the cross? / |
/ Catalytic converter are hot cakes. // |
MacTv:/ The level of preparation the black people put into going for visa interview in the US Embassy would earn them a place in heaven if such seriousness is applied to their spiritual life. Yet they argue that they are equal to the whites ![]() An American wants to visit Nigeria? Just mail in your passport and be issued a visa. No interview necessary. So much for equality and our greatness./ |
/ He killed someone and they let him escape with just a broken head? This is why SARS killing will continue. Eye for an eye would have been a better option. // |
/ Congratulations to Ike Ekweremadu for being a refined thinker. Boy! I am impressed. That is a pure educated proposal akin to what is obtainable in the western world. It is all about national interests --a term vast majority of educated illiterates in Nigeria are not conversant with. Developed nations place embargo on products that will affect their economy. Some offer subsidies to local producers to be able to compete effectively in global commerce. For now, the reality is that Nigeria is very dependent on oil. It will be foolhardy to support electric vehicle which will adversely affect oil prices in future. Person wey dey sell meat go find ways to protect him market. / |
logon599:/ Blacks are the ones supporting racism. If they look inwards and uplift themselves beyond victims, beggars, whiners; perhaps the world will respect them. There are enough mineral resources in Africa to cater to the world but Africans do not know the values until white skin shows up to educate them. A situation where the highest producer of oil in Africa lacks the mental and technical capacity to refine the products (even with all the Ph.Ds they crank out every year) should call for sober reflection. Inventions? No! The blacks are competing among themselves on consumption instead of production. Respect is earned. I can go all day as to why blacks are the objects of ridicules in the world. Sadly, the blacks believe they are wise. / |
/ Didn't she have her medications? It doesn't make sense unless of course she has status Asthmaticus. There are many remedies out there. / |
/ Most often than not... A lady goes for the richest guy she can attract while a man goes for the most beautiful lady he can afford. A made man can afford better just as a lady with upgraded looks will go for a richer man. That's all. / |
tactius:/ In the current environment, pay all the taxes you want and nothing will change. Taxation without transparency and accountability is idiotic. The government cannot give account of the billions they make from oil sales. Do you think it is your tax naira they will expend judiciously? Keep reading Economic textbooks. / |
/ If they tell you how they made the money, will you believe them? / |
/ Peter Okoye is 100% correct. But everyone cannot own a business. There will always be slaves and masters. There are many successful businesses handed down from generations. But losers will scavenge for the ones that failed to support their laziness. By the way, that your place of employment is owned by someone's dad. It didn't fall from heaven. Even the multinationals, the higher up the pyramid, the less the congestion. Thus the bottleneck ends up in a few families' bank account. Handing down a business to your family doesn't necessarily mean that they have to be the ones running it. The son can hire competent and educated financial slaves to run it and pay them a token at the end of each month. How else do you think the wealthy fellows stay afloat? / |
Amuocha:/ The bishop is correct. Idemili, ulasi, etc are idols made by men while the crucifix and statues of virgin Mary they bow down and worship were sent down from heaven. Pot calling kettle black? / |
jayfolarin:/ Good observations! Except that those whose pensions were raided by the likes of Maina are yet to recover from the shock and you expect Nigerians to pay taxes when the little they have is being wasted or looted right in their presence. Putting the cart before the horse? It seems. The government has shown zero diligence in accountability. Only a slowpoke will voluntarily pay taxes in such an environment. / |
Esseite:/ The kind of things they celebrate in Nigeria makes one wonder. Do what I did. Just give up. / |
/ This is why God created the brain. Use it. It is not for sitting around, quoting Bible and koran verses while praying and hoping that God picks your call. By the way, China is neither a Christian nor islamic nation. I guess the Chinese will be going to hell in a hand basket. Is that why they are all over Nigeria giving loans and building the nation for the ones who claim to know God the most? Mental laziness is one of the biggest threats among Africans. / |
/ So some of you morons really believe that money in circulation means just distributing money willy nilly to the people. Now I understand why Soyinka regrets sharing the same space with you people. / |
luckygeee:/ Next time...Press your shirts after you get it out of the packets. // |
/ I believe this man will be worse than Rochas. From 300+ members of Transition committee to this unnecessary jamboree, only time will tell. / |
alBHAGDADI:/ Get the original version of the Bible and not the watered down version to fit Christian narratives. King James gave the translators instructions intended to ensure that the new version would conform to the ecclesiology of, and reflect the episcopal structure of, the Church of England and its belief in an ordained clergy.[8] The translation was done by 47 scholars, all of whom were members of the Church of England.[9] In common with most other translations of the period, the New Testament was translated from Greek, the Old Testament from Hebrew and Aramaic, and the Apocrypha from Greek and Latin. In the Book of Common Prayer (1662), the text of the Authorized Version replaced the text of the Great Bible for Epistle and Gospel readings (but not for the Psalter, which substantially retained Coverdale's Great Bible version), and as such was authorised by Act of Parliament.[10] It is akin to holding the Nigerian Constitution under Gen. Abacha as the final authority because the supreme leader sanctioned it. The separation of church and politics that Nigerians like to quote is not a universal law. It was only promulgated by the United States after fighting for independence from England. The forefathers noted in dismay how the kings and queens had used religion to subjugate the masses and wanted deviation from the shenanigans. Religion had always been a tool for oppression. I dare say that most of you zealots are mere zombies vomiting the doctrine that were fed to you. If worshipping a tree gives you a peace of mind, by all means go for it. But don't tell others that your choice of religion is the truth and the only truth. How many versions of Christianity exist? Why? People continued to evolve and follow the pathway that fit their narratives. God is never confused. / |
alBHAGDADI:/ Which Jesus Christ did David believe in? Christians claim that Jesus said that no one can go to the father except through him. Oh well. David, Solomon and even Moses didn't go through Christ to communicate with God. God is God. Any claim by any religious sect as the only way to get to God is what it is--a claim. Saying that your doctrine is the right one is what begets all the violence and animosity we have today. Interestingly, Christians (in Nigeria) harbor extreme hatred among themselves: Catholics vs Anglican vs Pentecostal vs Baptists. Yet they all claim to be followers of Christ. In some areas, it is a taboo for a member of one Christian denomination to marry someone of different denomination. So much for the love of Christ! Give me a break! / |
/ When was the last time your lecturers took any continuing education class? It is a case of the blind leading the blind. Moreover, there are not enough industries to absorb the engineering graduates that the universities and polytechnics are churning out every year. Most of the engineers end up working as technicians. / |
/ Don't be surprised to hear most Nigerians say that David and Solomon were Christians. 99.99999% of christians in Nigeria have not read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. They are mere cherry-pickers who end up vomiting the same information they were fed by their equally cherry-picking scammers commonly referred to as pastors. The truth is that the more you read the Bible, the more questions you will have. Many people who did, ended up more confused than when they started. It is safer to remain in ignorance. / |
/ They know the police station. What other information do the people need? / |
YoungAncient1:/ Can you rent a hall in a hotel and have a wedding reception if you are not affiliated with the hotel? There you have it. The European-American university only exists online. If you have $2500 to spare, they will give you an honorary Ph.D. Simple. / |
/ This is why Nigerians are hated and others cannot wait to kill them. Sudan is going through her trial times and the citizens are up in arms, protesting to secure their future. After all the struggles, guess who show up? Nigerians! Running away from their problem to move to enjoy the fruits of labour of those who dare to challenge their leaders. Will they even do it quietly? No! Like locusts, they invade. Then the xenophobic attacks start...and they cry foul. / |
/ Such is life... If Jeff Bezos wakes up tomorrow with Dangote's networth, he may take a suicide jump off a bridge. / |
/ For those still wondering... This is why Fr. Mbaka can say and do anything and the bishop won't bat an eyelid. / |
dainformant:/ Good for him. How many hours did it take him to get home, pack his things, get a ticket and fly away? A man that cannot defend himself at home is as good as dead. The victim should be jailed for 6 months for cowardice. He is going to get justice in court after the second coming of Jesus Christ. The whole street would have burned if it were an Hausa or Igbo man that stabbed him. / |
