leokid866:Oga, that young man’s device wouldn’t be of much assistance in any isolation ward. That is not a mechanical ventilator. He is misinformed and do not have any clue what a ventilator is and what it does. His machine is a manual resuscitator. It can be part of an emergency resus box. If you are performing a basic life support, that device can be used to give oxygen to the patient. Ventilator is more complex with micro processors and we should be careful what we support and introduce into our health care system. Even the top end ones when used by highly trained medics can still harm the patient. Ventilators aid breathing in patients who are very poorly and can’t without assistance. It gives measured amount of O2 and take out CO2. I don’t even think that Innoson has the capacity to provide a good ventilator at this time...take into account that the vital aspects of this machine need to be sterilised. The tubes that go into the patient can cause secondary health problem to the patient....Any ventilator whether INNOSON’s or Bayero Uni’s need to be very rugged and robust to withstand Nigeria’s fluctuating and unstable electricity/power. Covid virus attacks the lung’s cilia which prevents build up of mucus. A ventilator helps to prevent that and it must be good enough to work efficiently delivering air. That young man’s device is not a ventilator. Anyone with basic plumbing skills with the access to the parts can DIY that. |
leokid866:That is not a mechanical ventilator. Where did you get this from? |
Jabioro:What did you expect him to say? It’s his job to find a nice and sensitive way to explain that without offending Nigeria. Lier Mohammed would have said that no foreigner left Nigeria or those who left were foreigners on a short visit. Which would you prefer? |
Onyeama is a diplomat and I didn’t expect anything less from him. He knows his job and thanks to him for spinning and using the English language in a more tactful way to explain the situation. Summary of Onyeama’s speech. Foreigners left because they do not trust Nigeria’s health system/management and staff. |
Bialegend:“Where are the cows”, (BAT, 2018) |
iammo:Friendly fire eh?? You couldn’t recognise your brother and kinsman anymore. You are as bad as the anumanu that rolled the tribal dice. You and metaphysical are worse. The idiot was trolling but you lot couldn’t resist the temptation. You only need a nudge to go tribalistic. Tambe isn’t Igbo and the silly man knew that but was just messing about. |
EmekaBlue:The people in that photo are idiots. How do you produce and advertise face masks without wearing the masks? The guy behind the machine and the man bedside him should be wearing face masks and gloves. How can you be talking and sewing such products without having the masks on you? How can he be handling hundreds and even thousands of masks without wearing gloves? What nonsense! Who is responsible for regulating the products? No body.. Those products should be packed and burnt. |
Throwback:I’m surprised he said that and people are praising him. Surgical masks isn’t the type of product anyone can do. You don’t just ask tailors to start producing face masks...this is one of the reasons we have the ‘pandemic’ at head bridge and Akunyili fought them till she died. Surgical masks are made by medical equipment contractors and these must be produced in a special environment and each of of these products must be sterilised. Autoclave machines are normally used. I expected our pharmaceutical companies to intervene. It’s their job and tailors can possibly be recruited and prompted to work in the right environment and conditions. South East governors need to reflect and visit PRODA Enugu. These are the people that would’ve rescued us during this difficult time. If the right things had been done, PRODA would’ve made and supplied most of the equipment needed. Willy Obiano should not tell tailors to start producing masks. Dora Akunyili would not be happy where she is now. |
Vick14:I know she didn’t. She’s an individual that trends on gossips and rumours. She need to check herself before she wrecks herself. |
Honeydenz:You should thank your auntie. The same advice but hurtful words she said to you guided and prevented you from having kids out of wedlock. You were extra careful and took measures to either not get pregnant or you proved her wrong by making sure the pregnancies didn’t come to fruition. Sadly she couldn’t offer same advice to her daughters who might’ve seen you as a role model but couldn’t copy your resilience and academic zeal. Don’t hate your auntie. Love her. Her words were turning point in your life. |
autofreak2020:Ms Kemi is an attention seeking and an over zealous woman. That will be her downfall. This woman, time and time again has been given a very long rope to pull herself out of the horrible quick sand that she always find herself in. She never learns. This rumour might have been started to trap someone like her and she fell for it. She keeps shooting her self in the foot. One day she wouldn’t have legs to stand on and no one will offer any support. |
You guys are not being fair here. Not everyone with an Igbo name can speak the language or even identify as Igbo. Sunday Oliseh’s middle name is Ogochukwu but he never accepted that he was Igbo. I doubt if he could speak the language as well. There are many others. My room mate in the uni came from Kwale. His name is Okechukwu with an Igbo last name. This guy could not speak Igbo or even his kwale language or dialect. An Azubuike from Rivers state was a class mate. He rarely spoke Igbo. When he does, it was with family over the phone. I have noticed that this is common amongst people from Delta state. This is not to exonerate those from old Anambra and Imo who do this but it’s more with those that speak some form of Igbo...(Delta and Rivers) As an Igbo man myself, my worry is more with parents who give their children Hebrew and some other non Igbo names...eg Tallulah, Maya, Tamar, Shira, Miracle, Favour, Gift even Perseverance. Igbo language and names will be for eternity. There are lots of conservative Igbos for every efulefu who is isn’t proud to either speak or identify with Igbo. Spare those people with Igbo sounding names who have lost their roots and heritage. Oburo onye obuna nwere afa/aha Igbo bu onye Igbo. |
sweettease:That was a Ghanaian soldier. |
Scientists:He wasn’t looking for love na. He only wanted some stipend to cushion the effect of the Coro-lockdown. I stumbled on this thread and was wondering the kind of women that fix artificial nails on both sides. That’s gross and very dirty...you know what I mean!! By the way that lady Fara** looks cute but that braids isn’t for someone like her with that sort of head shape. It exposes all the dangerous contours of her head probably genetically obtained from her old man whom I’m certain would be very bald around the forehead and backwards. She has this prominent ‘swelling’ on the left side..seems nature has bestowed on her some kind of cranial shoulder pad. That can be a weapon you know? If she headbuts any man with that side of head...na kaput be that. |
MelesZenawi:You need to stop this behaviour. It’s very rude. This isn’t about the ethnicity of the commander. You really do not know the events that compelled this man to make this video. He is a brave man to have taken up such position. He fights not only Boko Haram but also elements from the NA who give intel to insurgents and at the same time deprive him of such vital info. I strongly believe that the NA feeds boko haram. Where do the wounded run and disappear to? Who treats them? Who arms them? Where do their trucks emerge from and where do they refuel and disappear to. If Buratai and the leadership of the Nigeria military do not have these then they are not fit to even lead a Boy Scout organisation. |
Babatunde40:Osibanjo should be blamed as well. He accepted his current position...didn’t he? |
Ancientbeing:If your story is true, I can understand your sentiments but don’t you think that you are making efforts to exonerate your sister and trying to justify whatever punishment you would inflict on the boy? Is your 16 year old sister incapable of consenting to the act? You said that she must’ve been lured into this...why did you think so? Does she lack capacity to consent to that? What makes you think that the boy wasn’t initiated into the act by your sister? Maybe there’s something you are holding back. I will feel disgusted if I was in your position but it will be nice to get to the root of the problem, at the moment, I think your emotions are be clouding your sense of judgement. Pardon me to say this...The speed at which the boy’s joy stick would shrink and go verrry limp would’ve been very interesting. |
Kylekent59:Thanks for the correction. I’m sure it made it easier for lots of readers to understand. You removed quite a chunk in the Op’s eye but damn this nasty speck blurring your vision. How do you ‘huge’ someone? |
mrvitalis:Who is that Igbo candidate? How do you think this would change the security situation? |
mrvitalis:I do believe that this is a terrorist attacking against the south. I also believe that it has to do with RUGA and Amotekun but please stop this Igbo presidency idea. Igbo presidency wouldn’t stop this. I am not against an Igbo president but bringing this up here when a very serious matter is being discussed is very provocative and silly. Terrorism will consume us all if the south fail to unite and act. Fragmented south is very vulnerable, will not and can not pull enough resources to fight this evil. |
iberrylee:Any Igbo man celebrating this is a big and irredeemable fool. This is an attack against decency. This is an attack against people who are opposed to barbarism, injustice, backwardness and violence. If we all don’t sit up and act. This will consume all of us. It’s time people drop south east, south west and south south bickering, silly banters and tribalism and deal with this. |
helinues:I can bet my money that was bomb and it’s a terrorist attack. There are powerful people behind this. This is no ordinary terrorism by herdsmen. South West and the rest of the south need to sit up and act fast. This is an emergency situation. At the heart of this is RUGA and Amotekun...call it conspiracy theory, call it anything but if nothing is done, it will spread. This is a warning shot and should be a wake up call for the South. |
Ojukwubucket:Mister, I haven’t offended anyone with my post and I do not see the reason why you should be so negative and rude to me. People speak the way they have been orientated and conditioned to. It’s wrong to dismiss anyone who doesn’t sound like Zebrudaya, Jegede, Babagana Zulum or Buhari as faking accent. You can have your native accent and still pronounce Physiology well instead of Pisiology. I don’t know what your problem is but the only person with inferiority complex here is someone like you with so much negative attitude. |
EVILFOREST:I disagree. You mustn’t speak with your native accent to feel secure and more of a human. That was a terrible thing to say. If you speak with your native accent, that’s your way of speaking. Lots of people don’t. They speak the way they have been orientated to. You can easily distinguish Seye Ogunlewe and Ayo Fayose’s accent and the way they pronounce their words. I’ve heard one of them say ‘shildren’ when he meant ‘children’. Ogunlewe might say ‘ouse’ for ‘house’. Abaribe’s accent is different from Okorocha’s. Ngige is different from Mbadinuju. If your native accent means that you are saying ‘sukulu’ for school, Oga you need to adapt and change. If Buhari says kwarapshun for corruption, that doesn’t make it right or mean it is ok to do that. If Museveni says ‘dochumenti’ for document, it doesn’t mean Ugandans should embrace such because they find it convenient to say that. |
AndroBlaze:Bless you for the above. I didn’t see that before I dropped mine. |
Or11:Ay spoke with a clear and an understandable voice. He pronounced his words well. What is wrong with that. Anyone could easily understand what he was saying. I don’t believe that he must try to sound very Nigerian whatever that means to express himself. Nigeria way of speaking varies...Sanusi Lamido communicates well, Chidoka Osita communicates well, Donald Duke and Peter Odilli all communicate well. Osita Chidoka’s accent is different from Peter Obi’s. Both are from the same state and educated in the same region. Sanusi differs from Ganduje. Tinubu, Fashola, Fayemi all speak differently. Ay is different from Bovi. Basket mouth is different from Okey Bakassi. People speak the way that is convenient for them. Being able to hear them and understand them is what matters. Ay was not faking the accent in my opinion. He was clear and understandable. |
AdmiralDru:If she was laughing at your accent, that would’ve been very rude. If I was you, I would’ve stopped in the middle of my introduction and ask her if I had said anything funny. |
Him training no complete for Police College at all! Lazy cop!
With all your so called patriotism, I’m surprised at your reaction to this. This is a police officer of the FRN. Underpaid, overworked, hated and abused. He is someone’s brother, son and possibly husband and father.Whatever happened to him might happen to anyone including you. Police men are unpopular in Nigeria, I’m not a huge fan of them but this man was doing his job. Don’t mock him. |
Samusu:Everyone is self isolating. I’m sure even the herbs, roots and concoctions would be observing the social distancing. |
senatordave1:Omokri might be a comedian with his videos but that was a proper push ups except the 20th or last one. He is fit, looks fit but I think he was lying about running 11km everyday or as at the time he did the video. I didn’t believe that. |
fergie001:Hantavirus has been around. You’d get it from ingesting food contaminated by rodent’s feaces and urine. If it was as deadly as ebola, Lassa fever etc, populations of Lagos, New York, London etc would’ve been decimated. |
