GidiWoodsMan: Toh I don't think God cares either way.
Life is a never-ending process. When people grow to the point where they can handle the truth behind these mysteries they would inevitably be initiated. Also, the ignorant will always exist, and they will always grow (takes time though). The titus fish preacher sounds like one of the ignorant ones. . .
The real problem is the people who know the truth yet choose to propagate falsehood because it serves their own selfish ends. if you were God you would care so God cares but the horrible thing is the karma that comes with speaking ill about God. |

GidiWoodsMan: People should be free to say what they want and let the hearers determine whether to believe or not. Else we start having more cases like that of the moslems who have placed an absolute lien on civil discourse concerning their religion/prophet.
When you hear stuff that is absolute garbage, you will know immediately. God doesn't need anyone to defend him, that's why human beings have their free will. . . . but people should not be free to speak ill about God. Saying God is burning people in hell for unbelief is speaking ill about God. |

Olu317: In strong agreement do I accept the idea that the two names did existed before recoining of these names to suit the English and Returnees Yoruba Brazilians.
First, these two names do fit as having triliteral root, because Aguda and Geesi ; ‘G U D', and G I S' ~ ‘G IY S'. So, it is important to look beyond the attached sentiments to Yoruba Brazilians returnees as being the basis for the names since we know the ancient Yoruba are deeper in thoughts through their language development which are always descriptive in nature to identify anything, thus make them far more astounding than many of us in the modern world. Therefore, these words can be said to have multiple meaning which I intend to make a piece interpretation to each name, which is as follow:
1.Àgùdá
Ag u da
Agu~ one that stab
ùdà ~sword,cutlass
~ one who masters the usage of sword; swordman
2.Gẹ́ẹ́sí
Gẹ́ ~ sit comfortably on a seat
ẹ́ ~ it's/it
Sì~(adv.) slowly
(conj.) and, also,likewise
(,prep.)into,at,against
(pro.) who
(v.i) to be , exist
~ one who sit comfortably on a seat; lord, king, wealthy one, Noble, etc though I don't know the etymology of aguda or geesi but Yoruba language does not flow like you are making out. |

Even Oba of Lagos have told them on different occasions but they keep shying away from truth. Pls kindly ask them who is the father of oduduwa, the founder of ife. Thank you sir, may your days be long. the father of oduduwa is lamurudu or nimrod meaning oduduwa is a descendant of the biblical nimrod. |

I believed Oduduwa came from the sky, and I'll pass it to my unborn generation as it was passed down to me. all orisas originally landed from space but as an ife chief told me, there are two oduduwas, one came from mecca and the earliest landed from space. |

EzePromoe: You must be high on tea. Hausa language on its own has influence many minority languages in Middle Belt, Nigeria, Northern Cameroon, Niger Republic, Northern Mali, Burkina Faso etc. Same for Yoruba but not on minorities but has been able to transport its culture to Togo, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Benin etc. Igbos do theirs through what you see in Nollywood. Go to East Africa today, most of them refer Nigerians to as, "the Chukwus". Even Ekoi, a minority has influenced Southern Cameroon. NIGERIA IS JUST TOO MUCH FOR A NATION! Ask U.S.A why they want Nigeria's split. The USA want Nigeria split because they know that is what is best for the country |

abdulwastecx: The guy you quoted is a typical APC supporter, they always twist the narrative to favour their narrow point of view.
The problem here is not the Hausa or fulani commoners but a system of neglect and feudal system that has left millions of "talakawas" behind in the north, I was born in the North and i know that that what we are seeing with fulani criminality is just the beginning of what to come.
Fulani herdsmen are pure criminals maiming and killing people for money, in the northwest, the local hausa majority are the worst hit but can barely say anything because of the age long brainwashing, as they see the fulani as brothers.
The way Nigeria is been structured will never bring any meaningful development to the yoruba nation, we are better off going our separate ways. If there is any group that need to be clamouring for separation, that group should be the yoruba i agree with you. |

Have you truly confirmed those that are maiming and killing are "Hausa Rioters"? OBJ apart we must know what is best for us. Nigeria has failed and Yoruba deserve to be an independent nation amongst peers. An example of Hausa rioters causing havoc is what happened in mile 12 Lagos not too long ago. |
Politics › Re: FFK To Move The Motion For Yoruba's Oduduwa Independence From Nigeria by lawani(m): 9:08pm On Jun 05, 2019 |
BabaAduras: Yes. In life, there always room for improvement.
Whether we will do better as country is open to debate. What I have concluded is the breaking Nigeria may not solve our problems. I will elaborate:
If we break Nigeria and we have Oduduwa as a nation. The same fight we have now between Yourba, Igbo and Hausa will move the level States, Ondo Vs Ogun Vs Lagos, Vs Oyo etc. The clamoring will then be to break up Oduduwa.
If will now break up into states, in Ogun state, the fight will move to the Level of Remo Vs Ijebu Vs Egba Vs Egbado Vs Awori. This will happen in other states too.
Now if you break along this line, for instance in Egba, the fight will move to the level of Ake Vs Gbagura Vs Oke-ona Vs Ilewo Vs Ibara.
I mean, we can go on and on and on till we break down to the level neighborhoods, streets and opposite/adjacent houses.
I believe the key is a good leadership and followership that are willing to be Law Abiding, Fair and Respect our differences - Not breaking up Nigeria. If we don't have these values now, the present problems will still persist when we break up to whichever levels.
Thinking breaking up Nigeria will solve our problems is playing the Ostrich with the problems (burying our heads in the sound believing the problems will go away). Nigeria is not a nation and will not become one in our lifetime. Also for security reasons Nigeria should break up. We are at a point that Hausa rioters kill and maim people in Yoruba land, they burn houses. A breakup will end such. |
