d way ameachi allowed himself to be used by born to rule extremist in d north against his southern brother is d worst betrayal anybody can commit against his own region. it is not about supporting GEJ. it is about supporting ur region. i tell u d truth no born to rule disciple in d north will ever allow himself to be used against his fellow northerner by southerners. never! ameachi is a BIG traitor!
Another deeply pained jonathanian still pained over a year later that amaechi exercised his inalienable right to support a presidential candidate of his choice instead of following the senseless tribal/ethnic route.. According to ethnic and tribal bigots, a southern man must only support a southern candidate else he is a traitor, it doesnt matter if the so called southern candidate is punishing and making life a living hell for him, as a southerner, he must support the southern candidate else he is a traitor (according to jonathanians). grin

Wake up and smell the coffee. Nigeria is the illegal creation of the White man. You cannot get legality out of illegality, that's why the very existence of Nigeria is a fraud. The only way to make Nigeria legal is to ask the indigenous ethic groups that Lugard stole their lands to create Nigeria, if they want to continue with the union or if they want leave, via referendum. Any other thing is a waste of time.
Just FYI, there's hardly any country in this world which isnt an illegal creation by someone, even the almighty USA was an illegal creation, so quit making it sound like Nigeria's case is special. But that's not even the point here.

Like I said earlier, you are just fixated on outright secession, but achieving that might be as easy as a camel passing through the eye of a needle. There is a prerequisite (restructure to regionalism) which should be targeted first and which is most achievable because it would surely be supported by many (within and outwith the zone). But then, you and many others are fixated already on secession, so good luck! All I can say is, if secession ever happens, you would be surprised at what a mess it will bring, especially as the current campaigners haven't thought it through properly and havent thought it wise to put certain things/structures in place first; the present campaigners are 'mostly' just emotional folks seeking a way to exit the rule of buhari, but then, that is just a very myopic basis to want to seceed.

Wrong! The North knows that there is little or no difference in eventual secession and Regionalism. Let's say Regionalism returned and the Igbos had their own region, how long do you think it will be before someone moves a motion of independence from Nigeria in the Igbo Regional parliament? Have we forgotten that the immidiate reason why Ojukwu declared was because Gowon abolished the Regions and created States? Divide and rule is how the Northerners maintain political control of Nigeria and they will never allow true federalism to take that away from them. So the only alternative is for the people to either accept the status quo or agitate to exit the Nigerian union.
You keep making these northerners sound like some form of gods... Inferiority complex and a defeatist attitude is all I read in your comments; and this is a problem faced by the entire south, believing and fearing the northerners as though they were gods of some sort whose decision is final.

Meanwhile your submission doesn't add up, you do not think it is possible to achieve regional rule, but you think it is possible to have outright secession?... The fact is that you are just obsessed with the idea of an exit cos your above assumptions are illogical.

For a secession to succeed, the SE absolutely needs the support of at least the SS and SW, but you and I know the SW and even majority of the SS isn't buying the whole secession idea. (if anyone thinks by any chance that the SS is actually interested in secession, I would simply advise such a person to travel and interact more). A desire which is common with the SS, SE and SW is the return of regionalism (or resource control as the SS would prefer to call it). I also do not doubt the desire of the middle-belt states (Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Plateau, Nassarawa) to return to regionalism also if they had the chance. If any form of restructure is to be achieved, the cooperation of more than one zone is needed, and the only way to get people to cooperate is to offer everyone something which is mutually desired (this concept shouldn't be difficult to understand). Since the SW, middle-belt and even the majority of the SS aren't down for secession, the logic of 'regionalism' being more achievable than secession shouldn't be difficult to understand.
PoliticsRe: Arinzechukwu Awogu Flays Obi Over Utterances Against Ndigbo by obailala(m): 10:53am On Sep 16, 2016
AtlanticBreeze:
ONITSHA — The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State on Political Matters, Hon. Arinzechukwu Awogu has expressed concern that Ndigbo might declare former governor of the state, Mr. Peter Obi a persona non grata for his provocative utterances against Ndigbo at the just concluded World Igbo Congress, WIC held in New York City, United States of America, USA. He quoted Obi as saying at the WIC that the “identity’ given to Ndigbo by former President Goodluck Jonathan was more important than bringing infrastructural development to the zone.”

In a press statement issued at the weekend in Onitsha, Awogu noted that considering the level of anguish commuters and other users of Enugu-Onitsha Expressway and other dilapidated federal infrastructure in the South-East go through on daily basis, one would ponder how the identity Mr. Obi allegedly said that Jonathan gave Ndigbo became better than rehabilitating Enugu-Onitsha Expressway, Second Niger bridge, Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway and other critical infrastructure Ndigbo need. “What really is the identity? Does it mean Ndigbo never had identity before the advent of former President Jonathan’s administration? Mr. Obi should tell Ndigbo the identity he is talking about. And where is the ‘identity’ in the present day situation of Ndigbo in Nigeria?”

According to Awogu, “will Ndigbo not ostracize and declare persona non grata, anyone that stands before Igbo global audience to say that former President Jonathan gave Ndigbo ‘identity’ and that the identity given to Ndigbo was better than building Enugu-Onitsha Expressway, 2nd Niger bridge and any other infrastructure Ndigbo can think of?”

As a matter of fact, beyond the neglect, deprivation and total abandonment suffered by infrastructures in Igboland under former President Jonathan, Ndigbo may be getting to know those responsible. If Mr. Peter Obi could suggest that ‘identity’ given to Ndigbo by former President Jonathan was better than building roads and other infrastructures in the South East, then, Ndigbo won’t have to think long before knowing where the infrastructural neglect they suffered under the past administration came from”. Awogu stated: “such views are in real sense anti-Igbo and I wonder how infrastructural needs of Ndigbo could be slaughtered at the altar of “identity,” for Ndigbo. “It’s mind boggling. May be Ndigbo are oblivious of Obi’s brand of identity which the infrastructural needs of Ndigbo were substituted with, under former President Jonathan’s administration which he (Obi) was an integral part of”
http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/09/obianos-aide-flays-obi-utterances-ndigbo/
Sadly a lot of people still make this pathetic conclusion; when asked what GEJ did for the SE, the only response still remains, "he gave Igbos a sense of belonging" a.k.a. 'identity,' and one begins to wonder who this 'identity' really helped besides a handful of political actors who filled their pockets and acquired private jets.

It is rare (I will be on less that 0.0005%) that a brand new Toyota, Honda, Benz and the likes will develop overheating and Gear issues less than 3 years after purchase. This is because of the comprehensive tests they go through. And also in some very rare occassions, some of these companies are wary of the hammer of the regulation coming down on them for "sub-standards", hence they critically perform their tests very well and proactively stay connected to the customer, so that in case their is a complaint, they get to the customer before he becomes disatisfied.

Do you read with your butt? Where did I say my 2008 corolla hasn't had any garage visit?
Apart from Mr Joe Abah who has already been attended to appropriately by the authorities of IVM, since we cant point out other IVM SUVs having the same overheating or gear problem less than 3 years after purchase, then we wouldn't be out of place to also say Joe's case is likewise a rare case and represents just 0.01% of IVM vehicles.

Regional federation isn't ever coming back in Nigeria, we Igbos know this. The core North will never let it happen and they are holding all the aces. To get regionalism back, the constitution has to be changed. To change the constitution, you need a 2 thirds majority in the National Assembly. With the numerical strenght of the core North in the National Assembly there is no way a 2 thirds majority will be achieved, not even if all the SW/SE/SS/NC votes for it. True federalism/Regionalism is never coming back to Nigeria.
The point is that, as hard as it may seem to achieve regionalism, achieving regionalism is far more easier and safer than having outright disintegration.

Furthermore, contrary to general beliefs about the core north holding the aces, the truth is that the only impediment to the return of regionalism is the foolishness of the southern blocks (especially the SW and SE) to unite and demand regionalism; even the middle-belt is tired of the domination of the core north and would swing with the south IF only the south can do the sensible thing.

Wrong! A car is not expected to develop heating issues and gear issue in less than 3yrs if it had not been involved in an accident or major impact. Even manufacturers give guarantees of mileages that averages 3years use. We bought a Toyota Corrolla in 2008 and still in use today. The first time I touched the gear was 2year ago.....and guess what, for routine service. I this vehicle does inter-state on Lagos-Ibadan-Osogbo fairly regularly......
A car is a mechanical device and just like every other mechanical device, it can develop a mechanical fault right after it is rolled out of the assembly. It becomes a problem and a cause for alarm only if all similar models develop the exact same fault within a short period. That you bought a corolla in 2008 and it hasn't had any single garage visit (strange), that doesn't mean we haven't heard cases of toyota corollas developing major mechanical faults as soon as they leave the assembly line.

There's a difference between venting one's anger over a recurring problem and just deliberately de-marketing a Nigerian product. As a government official he should have known better to promote and not unfairly de-market.

Every car develops some mechanical fault at some point in its life, even brand new cars do develop faults too but remember this is an almost 3 year old vehicle. Finding a maggot in my juice is a totally different case, that is an unexpected, totally unacceptable situation. But cars developing mechanical issues after being driven ruggedly on Nigerian roads for almost 3 years?... C'mon!

With these sort of people as ministers our future appears bleak.
Just another crappy headline from 'ikebe super' journalists.

The Hon. Minister of Agriculture and Rural development – Chief Audu Ogbeh has dismissed news report quoting him as saying 'Nigerians eat too much rice, that’s why it is expensive'.

"This is totally false, misleading and a sheer display of irresponsible journalism, reckless sensationalism, and poor ethics," the minister said. He noted with disappointment that the mischievous headline in question was completely at variance with the content of the news story.

The Minister decried the deliberate misinformation by the media which has become a frequent occurrence and calls for caution, self-censorship and ethical compliance by journalists and social media activists.

For the avoidance of doubts, the minister stated that during a recent meeting he held with an indigenous Agro Company investing in the production of Irish Potato in Nigeria, he did talk about the health risk associated with the excessive consumption of rice and advised Nigerians to occasionally substitute rice with potato for improved diet.
Chief Ogbeh wondered how the statement attributed to him in the headline came about when no supporting statement or quote was provided in the content of the news report.

He advised Nigerians to beware of misleading headlines; pay close attention to media reports that come with such and should challenge the Press to abide by their professional ethics.

Instead, Cameron allowed the will of the Scottish people to prevail like the democrat he is. If it was Buhari, he would send in Soldiers to gun down people.
The Scots have been fighting for independence for over a 1000 years, the UK has been a democratic nation for ages, but they only allowed that referendum in 2014... Don't allow that Scottish referendum fool you, the UK only dubiously gave that referendum in 2014 because they already almost knew the outcome before hand judging by the massive carrot they dangled on the faces of the Scots. We need to be realistic here, not even GEJ or the most amiable saint in this world would allow the territory he rules to be balkanised, else we would be hearing of referendums every day across the world. Unfortunately, Kanu was to some degree right when he said separation cannot be achieved through peaceful means. The most practical and the most beneficial thing to do is to call for the return of regional leadership, not outright secession.

Absolutely, attempting to move the nation forward without paying any attention to the prevailing corruption and lootocracy amounts to fetching water with a porous basket. At first it may seem effective when the water pools in the basket, but as soon as you turndown or close the tap, all the water drains away in a moment; that is the exact reason why all seemed to be good (GDP growth etc) in the years of high oil price, but as soon as oil prices dropped, every apparent progress drained away within a year. A suitable scapegoat (buhari) is there to be blamed though.

But those car brands you mentioned do come out publicly to recall their vehicles when there are complaints like this, Innoson should not be an exception. no be everything be fight!
Car manufacturers recall cars when there is a recurrent fault which has been reported and confirmed by a large percentage of customers (not just one customer on tweeter). So far, IVM still maintains a very good record to the best of our knowledge.
