Respectable people who should have denounced the madness at the early stages chose to either be silent or they justified the madness on the useless excuse that "the youths are angry cos they dont have jobs" - now the extortion has since been extended to even the indigenes and companies have fled.

The 'deve' nonsense also happens in other states and cities across Nigeria, but the state governments somehow wades in to control and regulate the excesses of the louts. But has Delta ever had a serious govt? A major reason warri died is because Delta state has been cursed with the worst set of imbeciles as leaders since 1999; and strangely, the people keep supporting the same kind of individuals as leader.

The main issue I have is the circus, most especially politicians, have made around the woman's effort which makes it appear we are a nation of losers looking for anything at all to overhype perhaps because we have nothing going for us.

Obi's wife visited, Sanwo Olu is there and even Tinubu I support is joining the cynical hijacking of the lady's endeavour.

It is like the whole nation is jobless and full of opportunists (politicians and celebs wanting glory by association) and losers who have so little to celebrate that everything, however trivial, is made a very big deal.

We're the results not uploaded? How was it possible for people living in Osun to check polling unit results in Rivers State if BVAS and IREV weren't used?

Yes, there were irregularities in Rivers and every sensible Nigerian knows that the results there were manipulated. But how could those results affect the outcome of the election?

Yes the APC dominated NASS passed the electoral law but that was done very very reluctantly. Before being passed, it's on record that every single opposition to its passage was from the APC camp; so stop trying to be clever by half.

Meanwhile we're talking about live electronic transmission of results directly from the polling unit, you're here talking about how people in Osun saw Rivers result? What sort of meaningless comparison is that? What silly results were uploaded? Are you trying to insinuating that Nigerians got knowledge of election results through iRev / BVAS? The same iRev results which in the majority of cases wasnt uploaded till several weeks after? Does your argument make sense to you?

And then you suggest the results in Rivers wouldn't affect general results; common sense would tell anyone that whilst Rivers was a bizarre case, the exact same thing that happened in Rivers also happened almost everywhere else, but to varying degrees.
