@x-factorial,
there severeal unresolved issues in nigeria so the death of the corpers will not jump the line. who killed bola ige? or do u see these corpers meaning more than a sitting attorney general of the federation? the truth is, pdp has no programme for this country and as long as you keep voting them in for your useless reasons, we will keep dying without reasons.
a siezed ship missed in nigeria without trace till date and here u are wasting your time calling for perpetrators to be brought to book. harlibutton scandal, siemans scandal, obasanjo electricity contract scandal of US$16b yet unresolved, tony annenih's N300b road reconstruction scandal yet to attend to. if i hear ppl like u calling for justice in cases like this, i think u are either not informed or a partial judge.
jonathan has been elected for another 4 useless years and we have to bear with that.
let us as a country accept these responsibilties and stop calling the northerners bcs every part of this country is involved in the day to day uselessness of this country.
WTF

I know it will not bring them back but I wish some lawyer who has some guts in Nigeria will bring the families of these fallen soldiers together and bring a lawsuit against NYSC. Nobody should be posted to the North period. Not even southern muslims. These things keep happening because no one is being held accountible.

How can people just go from house to house killing and there is not even one suspect in custody? Nigeria is just a joke. There is no way on earth that anybody can convince me that there is no wasy of finding just one of those monkeys and making him an example of what you do to a wild animal that wants to masquerade as a human being.

I was going to say that Ethiopians do the same thing too. As far as the OP I am not sure why you people assume he likes to create divisive threads. I think he or she is just curious about African culture. Obviously he or she will have a lot of questions and where better to ask than nairaland

He is almost 2months. He already has a set routine which i started a month back. I bathe him at 7 mornin and evenin. He wakes up for it and is awake throughout. He sleeps without fuss n wakes every 2 hours 2 feed. Except in d afternoons when he stays awake longer and eats more. However, when he sleeps, he has so much gas. Everythin i do even disturbs the sleep more cos he wakes and refuses to go back to sleep. He keeps throwin up the gripe water so i stopped givin it to him.

Last night was really bad. I stayed up all night with him on my knees to relieve the gas. I am on my way to the hospital now. Hope i get real advice not their generic, "it will pass". Wish me luck.
Is he sleeping in bed with you? Maybe you need to put him in his own bed
FamilyRe: Would You Marry Someone Who Proposed With No Ring? by Outstrip(f): 1:34am On Apr 29, 2011
There are a million ways he could propose though. It simply has to be special. A ring actually makes it easier. You do not have to think too much for a ring. You simply cannot ask a girl to marry you with nothing. You should be slapped for that

Na wa. I guess I have never truly understood the "I senior you" mentality. If you had said that the family treats you badly that is one thing. I personally can ignore her behavior. She probably knows that she is annoying you. I cannot imagine why this should be something that I would worry about. As long as you are number one in yoru husbands eyes who the hell cares about anybody else

It might be colic though it is hard to tell. My sisters son used to cry after every meal. It was horrible to hear him cry over the phone. When I visited them and actually saw it with my own eyes I also cried. He turned so red and was crying I was sure we needed to call an ambulance but they said that was normal and the dr said it was fine cry He is 6 years old now and he is a perfectly normal healthy kid. I know it is hard to watch but if you feel you have done everything and sought professional help then there is probably nothing else you can do

^why do you have a problem with the reaction of the girl's family?

Such dramatics, you really think they will kill the father of their daughter's kid?

They are angry. They wont kill him. Mind your business.
Notice he used the word infidel there. The girl is obviously not a christian and the man not a muslim. There is a good chance that he could end up dead.

I think if he is sure that his friend might be killed he owes it to him to warn him. If it is going to end up with a good beat down I am all for it. You just don't want someones blood on your hands. Unfortunately in Nigeria the fool will not be seen as a rapist. In Nigerian standards he is just a man

Is this unique to Nigerian girls though? Can you guys just leave nigerian girls alone. Most girls will not pig out when they are out on a date. Especially first dates.

I think she should walk. He obviously has control issues and I do not think that can change. He probably picked her because he saw that he could control her. For her to go into the bathroom with her phone because she is afraid of missing his calls and dealing with his abuse after is just not acceptable. It will get worse after they are married and this usually ends up with physical abuse. She needs to walk now. I know she will not listen though.

CelebritiesRe: Regina Askia Is Now A Registered Nurse (pics)! by Outstrip(f): 2:37pm On Apr 25, 2011
This morning's front page news

#5 - Registered Nurse (RN)
RNs are responsible for a variety of vital tasks, including observing and recording patient symptoms and histories, administering medications, establishing and executing patient health care plans, and providing support for doctors, patients, and their families.

Hot factor: In addition to being the largest occupation in the health care industry, RNs are projected to enjoy excellent opportunities through 2018. In fact, the U.S. Department of Labor forecasts an addition of 581,500 new RN jobs from 2008-2018. [Click to find career training.]

Training options: If you want to get into nursing, you can take one of three routes: earn a nursing diploma, associate's degree in nursing, or a bachelor's of science in nursing. From there, you'll need to get licensed.

Average pay: National estimates put the mean annual wage for RNs at $66,530. For top earners, the average is $93,700.

#6 - Health Care Administrator
Also known as medical and health services managers or health care executives, health care administrators plan, coordinate, and supervise how health and patient care is delivered.

Hot factor: This occupation is projected to experience faster than average growth through 2018. Opportunities should remain strong, especially for those with related work experience and business management skills, says the U.S. Department of Labor. [Click to find career training.]

Training options: A bachelor's degree could prepare you for some starting positions in smaller facilities, however most managers have a master's degree. To manage a specialized service, such as nursing care, you must pass a licensing exam, a state training program, and hold at least a bachelor's degree.

Average pay: The average yearly pay of a medical and health care administrative manager is $90,970. Top earners in this career average at $140,300.

In some states Nurse practitioners or midwives can even own their own practice. I think in the state of GA you have to have a doctor on staff or partner with a Doctor or something like that. There are also people who have doctorates in nursing. I know because Nursing has been overdone in our culture that people tend to look down their noses at it but it is a very honorable profession and not all of them treat it as the ticket to buying the biggest SUV they can find. For some people it is what they have always wanted to be

I doubt that she is making 60,000.00 per annum. With a PhD she is probably making 6 figures. I am glad that she did not stop at just RN because they do not make that much money. Anybody who tells you otherwise is lying. I am glad that she is setting a good example for her girls. For a sec there it seemed like she had turned into a gold digger. Thankfully she realized while there was still time that looks can only get you far. It does not last forever. Hooray for women taking control of their desitny.

I personally would not go with his last name. I understand though what you mean by a sense of belonging to something. The good thing about giving him your own name is that if you marry and have other kids in the future they can have a hyphenated last name that is Your last name - Your husbands name. Your child will not feel so left our because he will still share a common last name with his siblings. In a nutshell I say give the child the your Grandfathers name (Is that also your last name)

ROTFLMAO. Please it is too early to be laughing like this. I remember his episode of PUNKED when they were moving all the things out of his house. He walked in on it and the first person he called was Mommy. Not the police o. It is was kind of like "Mommy come and get this bad people in my house" LOL
