gmyguy:My cousin is serving in Minna. She insists it's safe there? My uncle spoke with her yesterday. Why did you go home? Is Minna not safe? |
1025:WTF |
I know it will not bring them back but I wish some lawyer who has some guts in Nigeria will bring the families of these fallen soldiers together and bring a lawsuit against NYSC. Nobody should be posted to the North period. Not even southern muslims. These things keep happening because no one is being held accountible. |
Step parenthood is definitely better |
Be a man and make up your mind on your own. I already pity the woman ![]() |
How can people just go from house to house killing and there is not even one suspect in custody? Nigeria is just a joke. There is no way on earth that anybody can convince me that there is no wasy of finding just one of those monkeys and making him an example of what you do to a wild animal that wants to masquerade as a human being. |
This is so sad. Breaks my heart. May their souls rest in peace and may God give their loved ones the fortitude to bear this great loss |
Who is going to pay for all these clothes that I will be making now |
I was going to say that Ethiopians do the same thing too. As far as the OP I am not sure why you people assume he likes to create divisive threads. I think he or she is just curious about African culture. Obviously he or she will have a lot of questions and where better to ask than nairaland |
XX01:Is he sleeping in bed with you? Maybe you need to put him in his own bed |
There are a million ways he could propose though. It simply has to be special. A ring actually makes it easier. You do not have to think too much for a ring. You simply cannot ask a girl to marry you with nothing. You should be slapped for that |
With this mentality you might marry the first man you wake up and see on the day you turn 29 |
Na wa. I guess I have never truly understood the "I senior you" mentality. If you had said that the family treats you badly that is one thing. I personally can ignore her behavior. She probably knows that she is annoying you. I cannot imagine why this should be something that I would worry about. As long as you are number one in yoru husbands eyes who the hell cares about anybody else |
It might be colic though it is hard to tell. My sisters son used to cry after every meal. It was horrible to hear him cry over the phone. When I visited them and actually saw it with my own eyes I also cried. He turned so red and was crying I was sure we needed to call an ambulance but they said that was normal and the dr said it was fine |
ThiefOfHearts:Notice he used the word infidel there. The girl is obviously not a christian and the man not a muslim. There is a good chance that he could end up dead. |
Why are you worried about others. Why not focus your husband. You will only hear the gossip if you associate with people that gossip. If you separtae yoruself you will be fine |
^^^ He shouldn't even say a word, just let the yeye fool come back so they can ambush his dumb äss!!
That ambush might mean they will kill him though. I think if he is sure that his friend might be killed he owes it to him to warn him. If it is going to end up with a good beat down I am all for it. You just don't want someones blood on your hands. Unfortunately in Nigeria the fool will not be seen as a rapist. In Nigerian standards he is just a man |
Bawss1:Tell them to go ask their parents |
Is this unique to Nigerian girls though? Can you guys just leave nigerian girls alone. Most girls will not pig out when they are out on a date. Especially first dates. |
I think she should walk. He obviously has control issues and I do not think that can change. He probably picked her because he saw that he could control her. For her to go into the bathroom with her phone because she is afraid of missing his calls and dealing with his abuse after is just not acceptable. It will get worse after they are married and this usually ends up with physical abuse. She needs to walk now. I know she will not listen though. |
It depends. Women are very good at lying to themselves. Men are better at lying to someone else. ![]() |
This morning's front page news #5 - Registered Nurse (RN) RNs are responsible for a variety of vital tasks, including observing and recording patient symptoms and histories, administering medications, establishing and executing patient health care plans, and providing support for doctors, patients, and their families. In some states Nurse practitioners or midwives can even own their own practice. I think in the state of GA you have to have a doctor on staff or partner with a Doctor or something like that. There are also people who have doctorates in nursing. I know because Nursing has been overdone in our culture that people tend to look down their noses at it but it is a very honorable profession and not all of them treat it as the ticket to buying the biggest SUV they can find. For some people it is what they have always wanted to be |
Do they even have a lawyer? ![]() |
Na wa oh. |
I doubt that she is making 60,000.00 per annum. With a PhD she is probably making 6 figures. I am glad that she did not stop at just RN because they do not make that much money. Anybody who tells you otherwise is lying. I am glad that she is setting a good example for her girls. For a sec there it seemed like she had turned into a gold digger. Thankfully she realized while there was still time that looks can only get you far. It does not last forever. Hooray for women taking control of their desitny. |
Who is calling my name Happy Easter to all of you that celebrate it |
I don't feel soryy for you |
imagine the audacity " domestic accident" what kind of fuckery is 'domestic accident' with an acid bikonu? Lawd have double mercy. thank God, the acid didnt completely disfigure her face.
Don't mind him. May that his mouth be domestically abused. Look at that poor woman. Tufiakwa |
I personally would not go with his last name. I understand though what you mean by a sense of belonging to something. The good thing about giving him your own name is that if you marry and have other kids in the future they can have a hyphenated last name that is Your last name - Your husbands name. Your child will not feel so left our because he will still share a common last name with his siblings. In a nutshell I say give the child the your Grandfathers name (Is that also your last name) |
jennykadry:ROTFLMAO. Please it is too early to be laughing like this. I remember his episode of PUNKED when they were moving all the things out of his house. He walked in on it and the first person he called was Mommy. Not the police o. It is was kind of like "Mommy come and get this bad people in my house" LOL |
