Ha, Mr Pataki . . . , I'm surprised you are just knowing Vicjustice!! I have known him 4 a long, long time on nairaland! I always knew he had issues!
But I'm thinking here . . . this guy might really have a psychological problem, and if you keep crushing him like this, it might complicate his problems!
So don't be too hard on the fella, as it seems like much of his sense of worth seem to come from Nairaland!

Italy, Spain hmmm, hmmm. . . . Nice places! Just don't forget to go with a stethoscope!!

I wonder why anyone would want 2 request photos by sending you an email!
I smell a rat, this could be a scam!

Nairalanders be careful who you send emails 2! A little conversation about pictures of Spain and Italy could be a bait that would cost your pockets dearly!
TravelRe: Is There Any Good Thing About Nigeria? by PapaBrowne(m): 6:42pm On Apr 17, 2008
Heeeeyyy!! They have busted somebody oooh!
Someone has been saying he is a Medical Doctor since and I was wondering why any Nairalander would have believed!!
Someone has been using multiple IDs since and I've been wondering how I was the only one that knew!!!
Someone has been spending all his life on Nairaland and I'm wondering if the person is on Irish welfare!!!!
Someone has been acting so sanctimonious and we are now all wondering why he has to be such a scam!!!!!
Its like a mob has caught a police officer stealing in the marketplace and now they want to lynch him!
Oh! Vicjustice or Armedlion or Troubleone or Gaylord or Figurehead or whatever new name you would like to adapt!
I tot I once told you that what goes around comes around!

NB
No hard feelings please, I'm just stating ma case!

People are calling Barack Obama a terrorist!! Even in America. And I am talking about elite, highly educated people.

Na today them start to dey discredit successful people?? No be today! If you no believe this man, na 4 your palaver!!
For years upon years people have been calling him fake, it hasn't changed anything, only made him grow bigger and bigger worldwide.
I watch him on TV AND HIS MESSAGES ARE MARVELLOUS. They make you want to go do great and good things!
Christianity EtcRe: Scandal: Pastor Chris Oyakhilome In South African Trouble! by PapaBrowne(m): 9:45pm On Apr 09, 2008
Kia! People and their false stories!!
The story lacks credibility by any journalistic standards. How come the reporter didn't bother seeking other church members that might have been paid-at least to verify the claims.
Besides, if these kind of stories were true, it would be big news and journalists would have done enough TV documentaries to support it.

And you know what makes the story even more false, it is a known fact that churches get members to do whatever without paying! People sing in choir for free, people give their everything free, people do all sorts of things for church free of charge. Church members even give 10% of their earnings to the church.
The pastor doesn't need to pay anybody to do whatever.

Humans are just like that. We like to bring down popular and successful people. I find that concept of humanity really hard to comprehend.

Once again the story lacks credibility. But who cares anyway, its just one of those things that would fizzle out.

And yes I remember, in the bible, the pharisees claimed that Jesus was using evil powers to perform miracles- Mark 3 vs 20.
So people are always going to say crap.It didn't start today and would not end today.

Why is this thread so confused!!! Seems like some peeps just breathe, drink and eat negativity- morning, siesta and dinner!!

Me thinks Nigeria's economy is gathering massive storm! Things are improving and Nigerian entrepreneurs are making much more money than their fellow Nigerians working overseas.

At least last year we had the best performing stock market in the world.

TravelRe: Abuja Vs Accra by PapaBrowne(op): 4:02am On Mar 09, 2008
After posting the article, I did a slight research on the internet checking for photos of both cities.
Conclusion:There is no basis for comparing Abuja to Accra in terms of infrastructure, architecture, organisation or most other parameters.

Accra is to Abuja what an Oba is to a President-if u understand what I mean.
Abuja is a masterclass masterpiece.I think only a few African cities in the like of Capetown would stand side by side Abuja.
That does not however downplay the beauty and the charm Accra has.
Tourists would definitely prefer to get an African expeience from Accra.

There are hundreds of beautiful photos of Abuja & Accra in the links below so you can make comparisons yourself.

TravelRe: Does Anyone Knows Whats Happening At Tinapa Please by PapaBrowne(m): 9:02am On Mar 05, 2008
@Arnold1
I really don't think Gov Imoke is taking it seriously enough. But thats a huge shame considering the benefits that marvellous project would bring to Cross River state. You know, Duke was just so good at what he was doing that finding a replacement wouldn't have been easy.

@Darkroll
Tinapa is a Public private partnership.Much of the funds came from the private sector. But for Tinapa to work, it has to be duty free.Thats federal govt responsibility.

@Almondjoy.
You can't use private investors funds to build schools, hospitals and roads- at least not in Nigeria.Besides, creating job opportunities and a viable economy is to me as important or even more than building schools, hospitals and roads.Becuase without money flowing in, you can't maintain the schools & hospitals.
So thats what Tinapa was about- bringing in money through tourism, creating jobs and just general economic growth.

I hope it still works ou though
TravelRe: Does Anyone Knows Whats Happening At Tinapa Please by PapaBrowne(m): 1:35am On Mar 05, 2008
Not exactly another white elephant. The problem is some folks just don't want others to progress. The state Government hasn't been able to get approval from the federal govt to allow Tinapa operate as a duty free zone. The project was built on that premise with full support from Obasanjo's govt. Now,new govt and no support!!
Custom officials have prevented the place from operating.
I hope the whole quagmire would be resolved soonest.

thanks man for the info. How good is the Glo service? U said they use UMTS and GPRS. These are 2.5G technologies. They talked about something like HSPDA which is a 3G technology.
ComputersGlo 3g Internet Vs Normal Wifi Or Wlan Connection: Which Is Better? by PapaBrowne(op): 8:53pm On Mar 03, 2008
I currently have a WLan connection and I've been seeing this advert on papers for the new Glo 3G service. Can anyone tell me how impressive the Glo 3G service is?
I am currently paying 5k per month while the Glo service would charge 15k per month.I wouldn't mind the cost if its much, much better.Do you think I will get value for money if I switch over?
If there is onyone out there already using the Glo service please tell us how great or how bad it is?
TravelAbuja Vs Accra by PapaBrowne(op): 8:33pm On Mar 03, 2008
People that visit Ghana always come back with stories as though Ghana is a European Country. They make us feel like Ghana is far better than Nigeria.I am not one of those people that feel like Nigeria is a great place as it is today, but haba, how can Ghana be better than Nigeria?
I've not been to Ghana yet, so I wanna know and I am asking those that have been to both places:

Accra or Abuja which is better?

Where will you rather live?
Which city is more international in outlook.
Where would foreigners feel more comfortable.

Bottomline: Which one better pass? ? ?

Post pics if u can.
TravelRe: How Much Does My Friend Need As Bta To Enter Usa by PapaBrowne(m): 8:07pm On Mar 03, 2008
Nah, BTA don't matter these days. Most transactions are electronic or plastic based.Bta don't matter.
Infact, the less the better. You go in with more than 10k dollars and your cash can be siezed.
TravelRe: What Happen At US Port Of Entry by PapaBrowne(m): 5:32pm On Mar 02, 2008
Thats normal with every type of visa issued by most countries.Your entry to that country is subject to immigration at the point of entry.
However, people are hardly ever turned back by immigration.Although, i know of a couple of people who were turned back. One was turned back for coming in on a visiting visa(UK) with a one way flight ticket. The other was turned back for working illegally in USA on her previous visit.
So it happens, but hardly ever.

TravelRe: Nigerians Abroad Help Me To Travel Out by PapaBrowne(m): 3:26pm On Feb 22, 2008
Wait oh. . . why do we always have to act negative? The guy asked a simple question. If we can't help him, we can at least react positively.
I like Kenflippers comment. For those overseas,we should remember that before we travelled, some were once in the poster's desperate shoes! Alot of people commenting here now, did crazy things to travel out- now we are acting like the most saintly folks.Haba people!! Empathize!

For the sake of cynics, skeptics, pessimists and those with a negative attitude, I'm going to try to help the poster completely free free of charge.

I trust that with the counsel and real assistance he will get here, he will be out of the country in a better place soonest.

@Bigmodo
If you really do need help, I can assist you FREE OF CHARGE, but I'll like for everything to be done here on Nairaland.
Kind of like reality TV! Meaning we are going to document every step of the way until you get a Visa and travel out!
If you are up for it, let me start by asking you a few questions.

Whats your AGE?
Whats your Educational background like?
What Country are you most interested in travelling to?

Lets hope this works out good!!
TravelRe: Europe? by PapaBrowne(m): 11:15pm On Feb 14, 2008
@Nasfreak
Nobody can help you Procure a visa 2 these countries.Visas are not usually procured! They are obtained from a consulate, embassy or high commision.
In few cases, entry permits/visas can be arranged by travel agents-(dubai,singapore,transit visas and a few others)
What you might get from agents is consultancy/documents that can assist in obtainig a visa. And at that, the visa is never guaranteed.
If you are sold a visa, be sure it is a fraud and u might get in trouble.

So pls never seek 2 procure visas. That is the first step to experiencing a fraud!
Many atimes we are architects of our own sorrows!
BusinessRe: I Have 1.5m And Looking For Help On The Business That Is Lucrative: by PapaBrowne(m): 2:34pm On Jan 31, 2008
There's a million businesses you can do with 1.5 million.Nigeria is ripe and virgin with so much opportunities!!
If you look around where you are sitted right now, there is probably a business opportunity waiting to be milked.
The main thrust is to look for areas in society where services are not been properly offered and seek to add quality value.
Secondly, ensure that your love what you have chosen and have the strength to take it beyond potential obstacles.
Thirdly, get a plan, get coordinated, be discipline and perservere- My mum has a Logic- and it works!!"If you want to start a business, budget three times the amount required to start it, so that if it fails twice, you still have enough money to start it again!!
Once again Nigeria is ripe with opportunities- seriously just look around!!

Many people can't see the tell tale signs, but we are definitely on a track to glory.

I wonder what they'll call the new Honda Accord 2008.
