Which is why God says first of all, you have to Love him wholeheartedly and "hate" others if we are to follow him Luke 14:26 . Only then can we begin to love others.
We cannot love God and people in the same measure. We have to love God first then He can teach us Love differently from how the world defines love. Then also teach us how to love others as much as we love ourselves.

Hence the cardinal law- Love God, and love your neighbor as yourself.

When a criminal kills, it is evil.

Habakkuk was able to see God's judgment befalling God's People. And that seemed evil in his eyes.
But later from Chapter 2, God unveiled Him and he began to sing praises to God in Chapter 3.

What amazes me is that all this epistle was just to tell us that the fruit of knowledge Adam and Eve ate was Sex?

That has always been one of the several speculations of its allegorical implications by interpretation of theological scholars.
But the fallibility in this argument is that the scriptures says Eve ate the fruit first before offering it to Adam.
Hence, unless she was asexual or masturbating, then the argument is flawed.

Knowledge is in fact a term the scriptures uses to describe sex. Knowledge is also in fact sexual, hence Sapiosexuals.
But the sin was not that they had sex, but they disobeyed God's instruction. Sex is clearly not the sin. Disobeying God's instruction has always been what sin is.

Sex between two couples married to each other isn't sin. Sex outside marriage is what is sin.

Friends With Benefits
A friend is a person attached to another by feelings of affection or personal regard.

Our friends are often our greatest influence.

The phrase Friends with Benefits has become synonymous with casual sexual relationships among friends.
But we ought to know better that such should not be heard of among believers.

Your lifestyle is largely influenced by the company you keep, especially your friends.
You start to sound alike, do things alike and even think alike. Proverbs 22:24-25

Question- Do your friends make you uncomfortable praying?
Does your loyalty to your friends make you disloyal to God?

Your friends will either help you get closer to God or drift you away from God.
Some friends are intentionally bad for you. Some are innocently unaware they are bad for you.
Or are you the one who is bad for your friend?

Choose your friends wisely.

Perhaps the most intriguing difference between the Old and New Testament is the Way of Righteousness.
This invariably leads to the understanding of Grace and Law.
Before there was ever Law, which came through Moses, certain people walkef righteously before God. Notably Abel, Enoch and of course Abraham and Moses walked in the way that pleased God.
In fact, Abraham showed that He Believed God and it was accounted to Him as Righteousness. Genesis 15:6
So why was the Law given?
What then is Grace and why was it given?
Does Law eliminate Grace? And has Grace eliminated Law?

That's the reason why this thread is yet up and has not been abandoned, despite that His appearance was very brief and already bygone, because God deemed it necessary to yet confirm that brief appearance of Jesus to me.

I know a lot of people here, inclusive of christians, think I'm proud, but one thing I strongly believe which i learnt from Jesus is that the opinion of men are inconsequential, but the only one which matters is that of God. Because men also thought Jesus was very proud, but at end of the day it didn't matter what men thought of Jesus but what God thought of Jesus.

Moreover the appearance of Jesus is nothing compared to what God has already entrusted me with, for it's just a bonus and a mere formality which of course I am grateful to Him for.

Atonement For Sin by the Blood Of Jesus.

In the Old testament, atonement for sins was done by the blood of animal sacrifices. This could only temporarily pacify for people's sins. It certainly became a burden and heavy yoke on the people. Imagine having to make animal sacrifices of birds, rams, etc for our sins? Thank God for Christ.

Only the Pure, Sinless Blood of Jesus Christ could atoned for the Sin of Man once and for all. There's now no more use of animal sacrifices. The significance of the Blood of Jesus Christ is beyond explaination.
The Blood of Jesus Christ shed for our sins is the Basis of the New Covenant.
When God sees the Blood of Jesus Christ, He passes over. Just as He passed over the Israelites when He executed judgement in Egypt because of the blood of the lamb (an antitype of Christ the Lamb). Exodus 12:12-15

Romans 3:23-26
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.

The Outpouring of the Holy Spirit on All Flesh.

In the Old Testament, the Spirit of God was exclusive to a select few- Prophets, Priests, Kings among the Jews.
But In th New Testament, the prophecy of Joel 2:28 was fulfilled after Jesus Christ died and resurrected, having prayed the Father to send us a Helper/Comforter.

Acts 2:16-18
But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:

‘And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God,
That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh;
Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
Your young men shall see visions,
Your old men shall dream dreams.

I will pour out My Spirit in those days;

Primarily the difference between the Old Testament and the New Testament is in the Extension of Salvation to the Whole World.

-Salvation is no longer for the chosen tribe of the Jews alone but now to all nations (the whole world). A fulfillment of God's Promise to Adam and Eve and also to Abraham, through their seed Jesus Christ.

Because of the New Testament there is no more distinction between Jews or Gentiles, we are all Chosen once we have Faith in God through Jesus Christ.

Genesis 22:15-18

Maybe the reason He hasn't appeared to you is self-induced. You should check your motive. Why do you want Him to appear to you?
Is it for bragging right?
Would you have the self-control?
Does He have a revelation for you different from what's already in the Word?

One of the challenges in Christianity is differentiating between the Old Covenant and the New Covenant.

This has created some misunderstanding and given birth to various factions and denominational doctrines within the same Christianity.

I pray that together with the help of the Holy Spirit and the Word, we will be able to clarify these differences.
